Sadly, last exchange where PLC was listed is dead.
My node connect only to 2-3 others.
Looks like only one miner supports network Sad

This topic should be LOCKED and say, that there is NO COPICO [XCPO] anymore.
If you have any XCPO they are worthless, no exchange and no working nodes to connect.
XCPO network is dead.

Where you take source from? I wanted p2pool really, not to mine on someone elses pool.

p2pool:

stratum+tcp://pool.futurocoin.org:7903
WorkerName: Walletaddr.
password: any

It was somewhere in the news or on twitter, don´t remember
Code?

this is the Github from the UI, but there you find the links to the P2p source, too
https://github.com/justino/p2pool-ui-punchy
No, there is no P2Pool code, just UI.
This P2Pool have zero other nodes, it can be modified in many ways and steal from miners.

rav3n_pl

Do you suggesting what I was thinking ? That futurocoin is stealing hashing power from miners and also they using they using tricks to refuse block you mined ?

Thanks
Pozdrawiam

WE don`t know that, also w/o pool code and other nodes connected we cant verify that.
P2Pool meant to be decentralized - should be at least 3 nodes on same code.

Code:
Node Peers: 0 / 0
Node p2pool Version: 237c60c-dirty
It mean that node has not other nodes connected and code is not same as on source (github or whatever).

Small updates:
- need .Net 4,5 now
- updated newtosoft.json library
- pull unconfirmed outputs
- speedup in drawing (hide elements to avoid system redraws)

Have fun Smiley

@rav3n_pl as the resident guardian of the github repository do you have a plan for how to deal with this? As the entire network consists of a literal handful of people right now it shouldn't be too difficult to hard fork especially as the few currently mining probably won't want to see their own holdings devalued ninefold if we sit back and do nothing. Not sure what the best plan of action is myself as I haven't been following evolution of cryptocurrencies for the last 2 years. Based upon my knowledge a couple of years back I would have suggested POS (Proof Of Stake) post block 1,181,683 (8 million coins generated point) as it's very low effort mining and anyone staking will find their coins increase in line with the overall inflation just by holding on to them and unlocking their wallet to allow their coins to stake every so often. I'm not sure what other alternatives have come about in the last couple of years though.
It (change reward system) require a hardfork. It is doable.
It is possible to change LTC v0.14 code into working DBL, but need to be chosen block in near future to allow blocks v3 and v4 and it will start voting for segwit.
So miners NEED to use new version as soon it will be released, or network will split.
Also, new versions will have trouble to accept transactions generated by older code (because of strict-DER-signing).
I`m not a fan of PoS, it is mostly killing coin and only make coin rich ppl richer. Also I have zero experience in coding it.

okey, thanks. i will take a look these days. would by nice to get it run on Win10 with Pyton 2.7 (pypy does not run here ...)

I was able to get pypy running on Windows 10 by using the Linux Subsystem for Windows:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=18313.msg21025074#msg21025074

However, the reason I made these CPU improvement changes was in the hope that it would allow people to run CPython on medium-speed CPUs without crazy orphan rates. I'm very much interested in hearing whether it works.
This "linux subsystem" is like 5-10x slower than you make a Vitrualbox VM and run Ubuntu in it.
Tested on cross-compiling coin daemons.
It would be way better choice to install Ubuntu desktop in VM, run it in seamless mode and use for whatever you want.

You do realize, that data in torrent are WAY outdated and new node need get lots of data anyway?
It is NOT good way to bootstrap node.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  As of Bitcoin Core version 0.10.0 or later, this torrent is slower than a direct download using the bitcoin P2P protocol & client.  This torrent is now only maintained for research and development purposes as a secondary option.  Please use Bitcoin Core directly to download the blockchain.

If there is some ppl intrested in this coin, we should hardfork to:
- new codebase (litecoin v0.14 or smth)
- adaptive diff (ie DGW)
- fix minig subsidy to "how it has been told" (or leave it like it is)

Is your poll not signaling SegWit? Ot it is not your block?
If it is yours, update daemon ASAP, because in 2 days block like that will be orphaned.

Transaction encoding improvements: http://people.xiph.org/~greg/compacted_txn.txt

Schnorr: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1377298.msg14011669#msg14011669

On-chain scaling is possible. Blocksizes are not scalable.
Transaction encoding can give 20-30% disk space and reduction of bandwidth. Good, but not good enough.

New signatures need SegWit anyway:
Quote
So the way we could use this to improve scalability in Bitcoin would be to add a OP_GROUPCHECKSIGVERIFY (and perhaps a multi-version of it) as part of a new segwit
script typecode that takes as input sighash flags and a pubkey.
It can give additional 40% capacity and can raise security. Good, but still not enough to scale.

So we can doube-triple current tps? We will need like 100x and more. This can help, but it is not a remedy on 10x or 50x more transactions we have now.

I`m not supporting scaling by raise block size to the moon, we just need more space now. Raising block size and adapting segwit in same time give us much more space and open new possibilities that segwit give us. But it all need TIME. And we run out of it, like 6 months ago.

So, raise block to 2MB is bare minimum we need. Segwit is must-have. We need both.

I know, that scaling on chain is impossible, bus as I mention earlier - segwit goodies need time to be up and running, block size works instantly.

No it isn't

Schnorr signatures confer scaling on-chain

Transaction encoding improvements confer scaling on-chain

Stop spreading falsehoods, these facts are readily avaliable
Link to math please, how much data will take 10`000tps in Bitcoin blockchain using this stuff?
Or how much tps you want to scale to?

I am most certain that you don't know how Bitcoin works. You still verify the whole block, not just a partial part of it. Roll Eyes You can effectively DoS the network with 2 MB blocks. 15 MB is absurdly large, unsafe,  unneeded and would take down a high percent of our node count.
(...)
It is 'user-activated', not 'miner-activated'. Nodes >0.13.1 already support BIP148.
1. Looks like you really need catch up code. Node is verifying transaction only once - when arrived.
2. Not a single line about enforcing activation of SegWit in 0.14, so how 0.13.1 is supporting BIP148 (reminder: BIP148 was published 12. march)?

I don`t know how bitcoin works, so I never write a single line of bitcoin-related software, I never contributed to Core code, I never make public lecture about Bitcoin... I`m not a moderator of national Bitcoin forum in Poland either.
