It's not a new coin really since it's a coin swap, so I'm sure they don't have to go through the same process all over again.

I really wish I could participate in this. I forgot about the first distribution, second distribution had issues, waited a month for the next one, missed the random subreddit 24 hour distribution by a few minutes, set a reminder before the past distribution and still forgot, and tried to sleep early to catch the second window and woke up too late. Hopefully I'll make the next one.

I understand that there has been a push back in time, but I was curious if that was technical difficulties or marketing issues. Also looking at the distribution, I see that it is heavy on early supporters. I'm curious as to why coins are saved/vested for the team and such, since there is no monetary value assigned to the tokens since they can't be sold or am I mistaken?

Staking is basically a lottery system. The more coins you have the more likely you will "win the lottery" to get a stake reward of 3. You must not only keep the coins in the wallet but must also have the wallet running and open for staking to receive a stake reward. Also a node is 50000 xcpo, which receives rewards every few hours, so 450 would expect rewards on the order of weekly.

Investors are waiting for some concrete news. So far there is talk that wallets will be fixed up and the marketplace will be up, but many are waiting till something is delivered. Not many are in it for the long haul, so with more sellers than buyers, the price goes down. Also there is very low volume at the moment, but it can definitely be a good time to buy.

I did, but it's not easy to hold. Went through the big run up to 1k. Fell down with it to the hundreds, left it alone, came back to the rises last year, and fell back with it again. Take it from me, don't daytrade kiddos.

I see that there is more info about contributions on the main post now, which for all intents and purposes, does indeed double your contribution but without the limitation of sending today. I was wondering if the value of the donation would be the value at which you sent it, whenever the donation period is over (if there is a set time), or the greater of the two.

This looked very weird to me, until I realized that nanode is the one that's weird. It look like the devs have not opened their wallet up yet to receive the new send block, so nanode shows it as a pending send which is in red, but it will become a receive block which will show in the wallet as green. It's weird that nanode shows it as a pending send in red when it should be incoming as green. The website makes it look like the wallet is spending more than it has, but I guess asynchronous payments makes things a bit weird.

I'm curious. Is it possible to double your donation through this method? As in, someone donates to Sneak and then can claim extra from the community fund?

I find it quite strange that a privacy coin team wants to shed light on the donators to other privacy coins. How curious.

For 4, remember that NANO can be sent much smaller than 0.001.

The wallet needs to be updated, which it will soon. When you stake it shows the entire value that was staked, but stakers only get 30% so that why you would get 3 from 10. The masternodes get the other 70%. There is a problem that staking creates new coins that interfere with the coins being able to stake. This all should be hopefully addressed in the next update.

So I'm one of those people who left my coins on the exchange for almost a couple of years, and now I can't figure out a way to log back into my account. I still have the email. I lost my 2FA due to a broken phone. I unlinked but they forgot to tell me that I needed to look at my past deposits. It's a significant sum, so I really want to know what I can do to prove that I'm the real account owner besides knowing the past deposits since the past deposits were from an exchange that no longer exists. I've seen suggestions of lawyering up, so if you have any suggested Russian lawyers then I would love some info. I know I was stupid in leaving it on the exchange, but I still want to hear if there is any other way, since they never ask me for passport or ID, only deposits.

I've actually met the guys behind Ripple/ OpenCoin, and even if it's a for-profit company, it's no scam. Their only chance of making money is through the value of XRP / Ripple. They are keeping a good chunk of it the coins for themselves, but they are literally giving it away the rest to people who pay attention to them for the most part. The main purpose is as everyone who looks at it says, it's an IOU system. Ripple is not trying to be a currency even though it will still be seen as one, and it's not trying to replace Bitcoin or anything. It's trying to be a complement and make trading easier (There's an exchanger to complement).

If anything I would think Ripple is trying to cover the transaction fees, but again there are many conspiracy theorists, but the bottom line is: The company's aim is for them to make Ripple valuable and they are giving them away. It's up to you. I say I'm all for free coins and if later down the line they are worth something then that's fine by me. Ripple has no mining and there is no real 51% attack on it because of that. Ripple is not like the alt currencies that you are probably familiar with. This is a startup effort and it has a different way of doing checks and balances. If you want more info on how it works I suggest looking on their site. As for me, I would like to see it succeed, so I'll just watch from the sidelines.

I do find it funny how people always feel they have better insight than people who are putting their time and effort into something. If Google Ventures didn't think it was a good idea/is a scam, then they wouldn't be funding it.
