Hashing is different from encryption, I have not heard about anyone breaking sha512 for now, even if possible, like md5 you will need the large rainbow table for your application to make reference. sha512 with salting too might be a little confusing even if its possible

I dont really know about the pricing in Golem, also Golem might be a supplementary source of processing power, lastly, our project allows minners to change the pricing if they provide quality results, so in this case, I think Golem might provide good processing power, so I dont also think there might might be a huge difference in the pricing

Very true, but if you have read our white paper, you will realize that we stated a method to handle these conversion, example is splitting a file invery little chunks of pieces say 5seconds each and distributed to the workers, this way even smartphones can process them very fast. Targeting smartphone users can also help provide a cheaper resources.
