When can I gamble. I want to cry on loses

I had like 7 Blocks with 12 confirmations but then I restarted the client and they are all gone...

So whats better mining in wallet or cgminer(gpu)?

How do I know if my blocks are orphaned? I keep finding them but its not synced 100% stuck at 0min...

if you are on windows all you need to do is download cgminer 3.7.2 (google it)
go to the folder hold SHIFT+RIGHT CLICK and choose open command line here then get pool signup done and type this in command line
cgminer --scrypt  -o stratum+tcp://POOLADDRSS:PORT-u Weblogin.Worker -p Worker password
