Bitcoin can reach 5k, may be 10k in few months, but to reach 50k that's need may years to happen, it is not so easy. But in this case it will be the happiest day for many Bitcoin's holders.

For clarification - are new wallets being released that will easily sync with the network using saved data from the previous wallets?

I understand that there is a workaround, but honestly I don't have time to join another community in order to figure out how to locate and edit conf files, all so that my wallet will work like it is supposed to.  I have no problem being patient, but to say that the current wallet is the working wallet is not a good answer.

I can't get my wallet to sync either, but my understanding was that we're still waiting for the next release to address these problems?

Hi,

If anyone could help me out I would be very grateful.  I started receiving the following error today, and after updating to the newest wallet I receive the same error.  The error prevents me from opening the wallet.  It says:  Error loading wallet.dat: Wallet requires newer version of Eccoin  - and then it forces a shut down.

We can't get this to poloniex?  They are delisting coins too.  Or C-Cex?  When Bleutrade removes coins it is almost always volume related.  They've reconsidered removing coins in the past once the volume has increased.

Hi, is it possible I am on the wrong blockchain?  The blockchain on the wallet says it is synched, but it is 2,000 blocks behind.  That isn't a big deal except that I don't seem to be able to transfer anything in or out of my wallet like I was a month ago.  I attempted to upgrade wallet to the new one but have the same problem where my blockchain says it is current but it does not match the block explorer.  Can anyone please help me out?

if you are not in sync with the blockexplorer: https://www.blockexperts.com/ecc then you are forked. i plan on putting up a bootstrap at some point today/tomorrow. i will add it to OP and make a post about it when i do

Yes I must be forked.  Thanks for your help I'll look forward to the bootstrap and getting this resolved!

I think Able or John or somebody that is maybe working on promoting Virtacoin in some way in the next weeks need to step up to the plate to day and give us a heads up to what is comming down the pipeline in reguards to what it is that they are going to do to promote Virtacoin. That way we may be able to pitch in.

That way we will get inspired to carry on and try to find ways to get more involved ourselves. At this moment ( today) I see no rainbow on the horizon to pick up my spirits.

I think a lot of us feel the same way.

The Founderfund is going empty fast. Can't put Virtacoin in Kiva fund. We lost bleutrade exchange. Virtacoin is worth VTA (VTA) 0.00000001 BTC what's to be excited about?

Last Sept 30 when Virtacoin was 25 Sotschi's there was loads of excitetement. Where do we go from here? That is the question us untechnical and newbies are desperately needing answers too. Are they going to be beta testing anything that we can get involved in.

Are there investments we could make (Virtacoin, Money) to help with projects.

I have done my share of mining but when mining only gives you, say 1000000 Virtacoin or less for $100 usd. and I can buy 9000000 Virtacoin on c-cex for $100 usd, it's a no brainer. Let's see if today we can pick our spirits up.

The massive sell wall at 2 satoshi is slowly being bought up.  Someone has obviously given up hope and is dumping a lot of coins cheap.  Once we are through that sell wall I think there is reason to be very optimistic but after all of the issues with bleutrade a lot of people decided to dump.

I'm trying to figure out what's going on over at Bleutrade?  Is this coin under attack or is it safe to buy?  3-4 satoshi seems like a steal for this coin, so if it is safe and hasn't been abandoned I will probably transfer some btc over there.

Hey thanks!  This seems to have worked.  Is there any easy way to verify that I'm synced up to the correct chain?

Compare your current block # with https://www.blockexperts.com/ecc
If they Match you are good.  Smiley

 Cool

Hey thanks for your help and everyone else's help.  It looks like everything worked and I'm all synced up properly.  Keep up the good work!

E-CurrencyCoin BLOCKCHAIN SNAPSHOT
                 (The Fastest Way to Sync)

Wallet Version 2.4.7.0 used with this SnapShot.
_______________________________________________________________________________ _____________________
You will need a program that can uncompress rar files, example:  http://rarlabs.com/download.htm

Filename:      E-CurrencyCoinBlockChainSnapShot-(Date Created).rar
Download :    https://mega.nz/#F!DBxjDbgC!3Um0nxoE4QZlJ8Co_-EDsg
Block Height:  1005426

NEW Wallet: Install Instructions
Make a ECCoin folder under C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\
Then Extract and copy the files from E-CurrencyCoinBlockchainSnapShot.rar into
C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\ECCoin
Then open E-CurrencyCoin and it will start syncing the BlockChain from the last snapshot.

ACTIVE Wallet:Install Instructions ,
(Be sure to have a backup of your Wallet.dat 1st)
Make sure E-CurrencyCoin is closed
Go under c:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\ECCoin (for Windows) or in the E-CurrencyCoin data folder for other OSes
Then Delete 4  files :  .lock & blk0001.dat & db.log & debug.log
Then Delete 2 folders named : database & txleveldb
Then Extract and copy the files from E-CurrencyCoinBlockchainSnapshot into
C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\ECCoin
Then open E-CurrencyCoin and it will start syncing the BlockChain from the last snapshot.

Once your E-CurrencyCoin Wallet is completely Synced.
Check your Balance, if the Balance is incorrect.
Click on Help, click Debug Window, click Console,
type in repairwallet and hit enter, then check your Balance
If Balance is still not correct.
Then From a Command Prompt run ECCoin-qt.exe -rescan
will take a little while but should correct your balance info.

 Cool

FYI:
Kiklo's Premium Blockchain Snapshot Service

Hey thanks!  This seems to have worked.  Is there any easy way to verify that I'm synced up to the correct chain?

I'm sorry, I've been away and am about a week late on the upgrade.  Now that I upgraded the new wallet is out of sync.  I assume that's because I upgraded after the recommended block, although honestly I'm not extremely knowledgeable with how these wallets work.   Does anyone mind explaining to me how get the new wallet synced up properly?

you will need to resync completely

when trying to sync from scratch, you will get tooo many blocks to sync at once. so you will need to increase your allowed buffer sizes in your conf file upon startup.

maxreceivebuffer=100000
maxsendbuffer=10000000

I'm sorry I really appreciate your help but I need you to break this down like i'm a 5 year old.  I'm an investor and appreciate the your vision with this coin which is why I invested, but unfortunately I am somewhat clueless on the tech end.

Coins with low volume are getting delisted from bleutrade.  Are there any plans to keep ECC active or is this about over?

it shouldnt be delisted, there is consistently top 10 doge volume on the coin.

edit: do you know where the list of coins to be delisted is? i cant find it

If you go into your bleutrade wallet and scroll to the very bottom there's a link that says "click to reload with delisted coins."  I was surprised to see they removed GENE a few days ago since it spiked to 99 satoshi not too long ago and was doing decent volume in the past couple months.  They give a bunch of reasons that they would remove a coin.  From what it says it looks like if a coin isn't doing at least 1 btc worth of volume a month it's possible they will remove it.
