Re: Receiving Airdrops
by

I have seen many different ways it is done, not 1 single way.

For example :

DeepOnion - Every week, you need to meet the minimum criteria and be a Jr. Member or better on Bitcoin talk, post on both forums etc..
TRX - Was just a random drop in to different accounts.
SingularDTV - they did one where they sent a different token to people who were holding SNGL and it was just a decision they made, no previous info.

Have a read in to specific coins you want and see if they offer it, otherwise just support projects you like by owning tokens and then see what happens.

I think this is one of those places where Governments have influence and banning on a big platform like Facebook aids the centralisation.
Advertising works and the less people investing in cryptocurrency, the better it is for countries economies.

That market cap you see on Coinmarketcap is the amount of fiat that is not sitting in normal peoples bank accounts in their country.

This is appalling. Absolutely no reason to run a masternode, no payout in a month, no github commits since November...

Agree with the above comment. Got to be the forked Bitcoin versions.
EOS, Ethereum are getting a lot of mentions and I do not understand that.

Ethereum has proved itself massively as somethng different to Bitcoin and EOS is that again, but in an earlier state.

EOS might have a lot of money, but they are also doing lots of development which is very active, they are taking things slow, proving concepts internally (Steemit), which I feel is a very good way of going.
I noticed their Dawn 3.0 is in Alpha now too, and their value reflects in my opinion.

I rate Binance and keen to see what this Robinhood is about that I see everywhere at the moment.
As with all of these exchanges, it is when some younger coins are not listed, you have to shop about a bit. I seem to end up on Cryptopia quite a lot for that sort of thing.

Seemed like quite a few things went wrong. Shame that it has put a bit of a bad taste in many people's mouths. Hope they do something for all the screwups that happened and all the lost transaction fee's. But in my experience of ICO's this is a bit of a risk that is taken I suppose. Happened to me a few times.

Overall I felt that this was fine apart from the CACHE'd address that people were seeing in their profiles, I have seen mostly disgruntled people who missed out posted on social and little about the successful people, but will wait for their press release regarding this and see how it is dealt with.

I like the Project .. holding 2 MNs .. What do you think about acquiring more while the price is low? Any Ideas.

The Payment is still inconsistent....this is sad

I have been running one for over a week with no payout. I know there are problems with Dash fork masternodes, but this seems a bit ridiculous.

Got a few questions :

How are other people's payouts?
How do you know you have a payout?
This is my 'getinfo' anyone spot any issues?

https://image.ibb.co/hvYt8b/chaincoind.png

The connections, blocks, difficulty keeps changing, but nothing much happening apart from that.

How do we know he still has his private keys?

Not sure they would say he has made that money without being able to access it. Good on him and I also find it funny the link to DeepOnion  Grin Comical spin.

Of the well established ones, Ethereum for me.
DeepOnion has a great community as well, but not as established.

Spreading your coins is very good idea.
I recently put a LOT in to a particular coin and have regretted it about a week later, but all a learning curve, who knows, you might be right to pick that heavily.

Re: Ethereum prediction in 2018

I can easily say that Ethereum will somewhat catch bitcoin this year. This doesn't mean we will see $15000 eth but 1000s for eth is too cheap, we will see around $2000-2500 .

Agree with this, I can see it growing steadily at about this run rate. Lots of companies building projects on this platform now or Quorum (Ethereum based) so we should keep seeing it rising in popularity and price.
Anyone else enjoy watching the Meeting minutes from the Ethereum foundation?

https://github.com/ethereum/pm/issues/28

Strangely enjoyable way to spend a lunch break. Or is it just me?!

Great seeing it going so strong,
I love Ethereum, especially from a developers point of view, been working on dApps and writing smart contracts and it really is a great technology. Also love following the Ethereum foundation meetings they post on YouTube covering where the problems are and actively fixing them, its just a great project and really far along. Love watching it grow - in price and use cases too.

What is going on with safex, it's being delisted from all exchanges... Why is this happening?

Agreed, very strange. Maybe someone knows something we dont... I sold all mine recently. Then saw this crazy increase.

Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem)

I saw this project at coinmarketcap site and when i went to eos.io to read more about it i saw EOSTM Token Distribution CURRENT PERIOD 198/350 what is this mean? I can buy token straight from site, is the price diffrent from exchanges?

They have been running a daily 2,000,000 token distribution cap. So basically that figure of tokens is split between all participating in that days distribution cap.
e.g. today at the moment of writing there is 1,676 ether in the pot, so everyone would get  1,193 EOS per ETH.

It fluctuates, some days are better than others in terms of how many people contribute.
After 350 days, that will be all the tokens distributed. We are at day 200.

Alternatively you can take the market price on any Exchanges which will be based on how many EOS have been distributed so far.
