https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/cexio/ghsbtc not updating since yesterday. Sad

The spread and current price seems to be moving, though.

Anything we can do to encourage you to fix this?

Well - CEX.io works for me - and I'm grateful for what they offer.

To be able to buy and sell Ghs instantly offers a whole new dynamic to mining, which is a mixture of the trading exhanges and mining at the same time.

Yes - Just buying to mine will likely not make roi - but buying and selling and mining while the price is stable is an excellent way of fighting the depreciation of mining hardware.

As with everything - you make your choices, but as CEX,io is not just about mining - it would be misleading to write it off on that basis alone.

A nice rise back to 69 tonight - the deposits issue seems to be fixed, and people seem to want to spend their money again.

So far enjoying the CEX.IO platform a lot. Nice use of some of my btc holdings and the buy sell platform is working very well. Completely painless and a way to make some extra BTC off part of my BTC holdings.

Yeah - I haven't looked back.  Gets a bit addictive as well  Undecided

It automates much of the messing about with mining, and yet still allows you to join in.

Never on time, but the kit is ok.

Might be better off considering CEX.

I think thats my biggest issue is paying some company lots of money and then waiting for who knows how long till I could even start?

I have gone for CEX.io as a compromise between mining and trading.  Its where I'm making my BTC earn morefor me.

I don't understand how CEX.io works.

What don;t you understand?

You buy mining Ghs for BTC and then whilst you own it you get the mining rewards as if you had the hardware at home.

When you are done, you sell it again.

The risk is that the price will vary.

CEX.io have done a good job in making mining power avaliable to the masses, rather than the mess of pre-ordering.

I bought a BFL 60Ghs unit off ebay, ran it for two weeks - realised my mistake and sold it again quickly.

The problem is that the profitablity lasts for a very short period and if you get late delivery, you have missed it and left with a block that generates not much but a lot of hot air.

I now use CEX.io which gets me out of this problem, if that helps.

Re: Cex.io : Doesnt mining profits come in BTC ?

Its not a choice,, they use merged mining - which means all the coins are generated at the same time at no extra effort.

CEX.io now offer trading for NMC as well so they can be transferred to BTC pretty simply.

Any idea how to deposit NMC yet?

Not possible on CEX yet I'm afraid.

As with anything there are benefits and risks.

If you want to get into mining, you need to ask yourself if it is a hobby or an investment and then take your approach. Buying hardware is hard to give a reliable roi, but it is a lot of fun.  The CEX.io 'trolls' are keen to promote cloud mining because there is a small kick-back if you register - but at the same time most of them have found cloud mining a good way to be both a bit of fun as a hobby as well as an investment.  It also provides a way out if things turn bad quickly.

Make your own choices is the answer - but make sure you have fun and don't waste your money. With any possible large gains, it normally comes with large risks.

Nothing untrue about what I said, and I was transparent that there is a kickback for signing up.  People need to do their own research, but I have found CEX.io to be a great way to get into bitcoin mining.

Yes you need to buy BTC elsewhere such as localbitcoins.com.

Happy to help you through it if you need it.

What is the minimum BTC one really needs to get started on CEX?

No minimum - and no trading fees. So lots of fun to be had.
