looking to get rid of 66euro NEOSURF card
by

Hi all,   i have a neosurf card with 66euros left on it, but cant seem to find anywhere to actually buy crypto with it (without getting like a 25% markup)

So if anyone here has any crypto that i can accept on binance, and has a use for a neosurf card, please hit me up !

No idea how escrow stuff works around here, but i can definitely have a reputable member check the card if needed

thx in advance

10 month ROI isn't guaranteed because market can crash in coming months, if that happens your ROI will take longer to accomplish, can be up to 13months or even more, my advice is you need to be prepared for any possible out comes

ofcourse,     for sure !

The way i look at it,   and i hope he does too,    is its an investment, and a gamble ..   hence, dont put money in that you cant lose, and dont expect , count on, or depend on, the return...

Would this be something acceptable/smart/ok to do ?

To put some minor money that you can easely spare, and wont miss, like $25, into one or 2 ido's / ico's each month, and to just hope you shot your shots good ?

What is better ,   alot of small ones ?    or to try and shoot the big one ?    What would you do, if you had to choose between $25 monthly and diversify, or $300 into one? (yes i know the answer depends on specifics, but on average, what do you think between the 2) ...

I wouldnt pay scalper prices for them but if he can comfortably mine with them if the price drops 30-60% and can mine for 18-22 months without any financial stress then it should be okay. I personally always look at the current ROI and multiply it by 2. If I don't mind running them for that long and it won't cause me any additional financial stress then I would do it.

Find the cards with 36 months warranty, it becomes a free lease of the cards to mine with if they break under warranty esp near the end and then return when faulty for refund or credit towards new ones.

Regarding the warranty.

There are some companies, Sapphire for one, where you need to be the original owner to get any warranty what so ever. They ask for proof of purchase and it needs to be purchased by you, so even if you get bill of sale from the scalper, it might not help you on the warranty concerns.

A few years back, for Sapphire you had to mail it somewhere overseas. No idea if they got a USA address these days. But I remember the shipping with tracking was extremely expensive and extremely slow. So it wasn't worth sending it in for RMA if it had minor issues such as bad fans. You would only use the warranty if the card was dead and unfixable.

my friend is still very much on the fence ...   (and he knows he doesnt have much time left)    basically we are only finding about2-3 non-lhr cards in our country (belgium) atm :/
also,   im not sure how warranty/replacements will work,   when there are no non-lhr's left ...

Hi all,   i was wondering,   what are the top sources i should be keeping an eye on, to spot future trends such as shib and cardano?

As im pretty novice, and not up to date on things,   i only learn about certain coins when they start hitting exchanges and mainstream news etc,
by which time it is usually already 'too late'.

So what 3 sources should i keep in a pinned tab, and keep my eyes on daily, to catch early coins ?

First I want to ask you, why are shiba and cardano your concern when making a purchase, even though there are still many other altcoins currently available, whether shiba and cardano are your favorite coveted coins or have you tried to analyze these two coins in the futures? Next, if you want 3 sources, then all you need to do is monitor the crypto market, coin trends and references about the coins you want to invest in, these 3 are important for you to pay attention to in investing.

I was just using those 2 coins as examples of coins that i only knew about, by the time they started hitting large exchanges, when really i wanted to have known earlier.

you simply do not have what is necessary to tell apart a good project from a bad one.

i know,   that exactly why im trying to aquire the knowledge here ...   (as opposed to just googling, and running from one scam into another)
We all have to start somewhere, sometime ...     .   this is my attempt at just that

There is no source that can give you a profit when you invest, but some information about new altcoins undergoing IEO can be seen on top exchanges like Binance, some other sources of information such as IDO can be seen from other exchange partners like Solanium who are currently running IDO on the network. SOL, but it's all your decision, no new altcoins or projects give you financial advice when they do IDO or IEO, because all is the decision of potential investors.

ofcourse ofcourse,   i didnt mean sources for advise,   i just meant,   sources, knowledge wise ...    as it all start with beeing informed, which im currently not

ive been looking around on the 2 sites suggested, i see that they basically just list projects, and the funding of the projects themselves, happen on several different platforms, and those platforms all seem pretty complicated and confusing to me for now ..  you need some other token first,   and then stake it, and then only the x largest stakers get an actual something , etc idk ....   im still very confused...    so im going to do some more investigating, and then i'll surely be back here with some questions regarding specifics etc, regarding IDO/ICO stuff.

thx for the info so far tho,   as it is definitely a first step in the right direction

In my experience, I use Twitter with multiple keywords based on hashtags. Another way, I joined Telegram group, but this was not just joining the telegram group from stranger, but a group where one of my friends knew the members and quality of the group. However, this way does not guarantee a 100% legit project. so you have to be careful if you follow the channel/group/socmed account early tokens/project. The worst thing is that you are trapped in a token scam that compromises your address.

forgive the stupid question ...      but what do you mean by "trapped in a token scam that compromises your address"  ??

I asked for this to be moved. to alt coin section.

I gave you a merit for your polite reply.

As for should you grab 3x cards if they are full power  for hashing 3080's new in the box with warranty they are an okay buy. assuming the price is not falsely jacked up to crazy numbers.

if they are used with no warranty they are risky.

Also if the gear is going to be mined in California at 40 to 50 cents a kwatt versus New Jersey at 13-16 cents a kwatt they are less attractive.

Thank you for the merit !!

We are actually located in belgium ..   i believe(but would have to check) that i myself pay around 13eurocents per kwh for my apartment, i assume my friend would be around the same price, but will definitely have him check and come back

Hi,   my friend is thinking of buying 3 new, non-lhr rtx 3080's

Occording to him, they should pay for itself by around 10 months ...

I personally feel like its probably not worth the hasstle, time, investment, headache, etc...    if we are just talking about just 2 cards making such a small profit after the initial 2 months ...
If it where 10 cards,    i would have probably told him, yea, go for it.

Thoughts,    would you do it , if you had the cards available for purchase ?

Thx in advance for the input

Re: is there such a thing as a non-scam cloudmining operation ?
by

Are they all just simply scams?   or are there actually some legit ones out there ?

The majority of cloud mining companies are nothing but scam, the rest are overpriced, Viabtc offers a legit cloud mining service, I have not tried it but I use viabtc for mining and they are indeed trusted so it's highly unlikely that such a large pool will turn out to be selling scam mining contracts.

Also, IIRC bitdeer has a partnership with Bitmain which makes them somehow trustworthy, but again, the legit ones are overpriced, the fake ones are just ... fake.

IF they are legit ...    doesnt the "overpricedness" really depend on what the market is going to do ...   or would btc going up ont really matter, as you would also me mining less and less, as tine goes on, due to difficulty etc ...

how hard do you think btc would have to go up,  to actually make it worth while,   to buy like a 2 year contract now?   what would btc (or eth for that matter,  depending on the contract) have to move to, for it to have been a good decision?

Most crash don't usually have a specific reason for it so don't expect this particular crash to have one either, some people will always try to attach a reason to it but so far I haven't heard anything that could cause this sudden drop, you can also take advantage now that the market is cheaper than previous price.

dont they sort of , by definition, always have SOME specific cause tho ...    why else would things suddenly deviate from the norm (as in, slower movements) ?
(sorry im pretty new at this)

.
Then I figure there’s not much to go by to try to recover your account. I figure that during your prior conversations on the matter, they asked you whether you were in control of any BTC address you may have mentioned of the forum. If you could sign a message from one of such addresses, you’d have a shot. On post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=896479.msg9870783#msg9870783 you mention an address where someone was to deposit BTC for placing an Ad for example.
[/quote]

They didnt even ask me that,   but unfortunately i dont actually have access to that btc wallet anymore,   as i stopped using it when i stopped that project ..

But the worse part is,    i knew this forum account was compromised at some point,   and actually remedied it,   reset the pass, (and the compromised email etc) to secured the account . (which is also when i edited the signature on the old account)

so in my understanding,   the account was no longer compromised at all,  which is why i dont understand the deactivation in the first place, especially since it didnt happen when it actually WAS compromised,   but then gets blocked AFTER i get control again ...

And while i dont have access to the wallet anymore ....   i do still use the same email adress, using the same domain,   which has the same whoisdata registered to myself (i can send my id, etc), since before i ever even created the account.

In short, i was never asked for any info, the btc wallet would have been an issue (honestly i MIGHT be able to find the keys SOMEWHERE but i doubt it), i am however willing to show any other info which might be usefull at all ...    such as proof of ownership of the email, prior to creating the account.

But i think im pretty much scr*wed at ths point. (noone else to blame other then myself ofcourse,   but still,   it s**ks big time)
