Just wanna play a bit

I have an old tower that I don't use anymore. Thinking of mining just as a hobby. What can I mine that is easy to setup and lets me set and forget without doing much to the computer. I know coins aren't super profitable but I really would like to skip the talk about power or buying them directly. This is just a hobby. Any programs that can link me to pools which would help me do this? Any and all advice is much appreciated.

Doing a documentary on gambling sites. Just how does one put up such a site? How much effort does this take? Pm me if you can contribute or write responses below.

I just want to make an all inclusive video from start to finish, even the technical cost of running a server or maybe you just do it from home. I don't know.

I have been trying to find this exact thing to use in my own home. Sadly I have yet to come up with a cost effective and realistic solution. Has anyone even come close? Solar during the day and battery at night? This should be on the top of someones list... but where is S/He?

Sync problem with OSx BTC-QT

Running Bitcoin-QT on OSx 10.9 and it is taking forever to sync. Been at it for weeks now. How can I make sure it is still syncing while i am not at my desk.

I have the computer automatically locked after a few minutes so my kids won't get on my account and I think this is the problem. It will not update while I am away, any suggestions on how to fix this?

Re: Concerns regarding buying bitcoins offline(udercover cops) - What do you think?

1. Why don't you just split up the transactions
2. If they are trying to catch Bitcoin sellers, then why are you concerned about being busted as a buyer?
3. I don't think that it is a big issue as long as you do not buy everything in 1 massive transaction.
4. Buy on Coinbase and then put the coins through a tumbler into another wallet.  It turns out to be cheaper than most LocalBitcoin advertisements and is physically safer than Localbitcoins.

This is all assuming that you want your Bitcoins to be anonymous? If not, just buy on Coinbase and don't be sketched out about Bitcoin, it isn't like you are buying drugs Grin

Tumbler?
