I would like to communicate a crypto scam to you.
The details are as follows:
Scammer's Name: David Gilbert
Location: Great Britain, I don't know the address
He is the owner of Diamond Hands Consulting Limited

He is the owner of the Reddit group r/SatoshiStreetBets (SSB)
with approximately 760,000 members

Description of the scam:
Gilbert launched two tokens in January 2022, called SWAP and Derpy Toshi.
These tokens were unsuccessful after a pump and dump. Derpy Toshi was relaunched shortly thereafter as SSB Coin, which also failed after a pump and dump.
Gilbert then wanted to migrate SWAP and SSB Coin to a new token.
This new token was to be linked to a SWAP website. This website was to be the first DEX with margin trading/leverage trading and other great features.
This announcement was followed by approximately two years in which he frequently promised things and deadlines that he never kept.
In March 2024, Gilbert suggested transferring our token funds to him. He promised to invest the funds safely in USDC and to launch the new token in April 2024 with extensive marketing.
Many trusted him and transferred to him. They had little choice, otherwise their token prices would have fallen even further.
But he failed to deliver again in April, missed deadlines again, and put people off with further updates until later.
His last update (with many promises) was on November 9, 2024. See https://t.me/ssb_updates/9
In this update he wrote:
„We're all continuing to work hard on the upcoming launch. The new voting platform will be going live next week. All holders of $ssb and $swap tokens will have the opportunity to participate in two key decisions regarding our upcoming launch, with the first vote beginning next week.
We have some beautiful stuff we're cooking. This market moves fast and ideas are easily copied so we're playing our cards close to our chest until launch - just know, we're working hard and have some cool stuff we are building. As we've said, we're committed to delivering a fresh start with robust fundamentals in place from day one.
As always we want to emphasize that all project liquidity remains 100% secure and that we are well on our path to launching. We are aware there are a handful of people trying to spread false rumours that liquidity has been stolen (this is 100% false) or the project is a rug (this is 100% false) or that the project isn't launching and is a scam (this is 100% false). Rest assured, this is all NONSENSE.
Our next update in a few days will touch on the subreddit and call channel.
We deeply appreciate your support and continued patience as we work toward our launch. If the market continues it's bullish trajectory then we should be blessed to have good launch conditions as well!“
Since then, there has been no further update or any other message from him. All attempts to contact him failed and went unanswered.
Gilbert defrauded approximately 500-1,000 people out of approximately $8,000,000.
Since he blocked all of his own Telegram channels from posting, the victims created their own Telegram channel:

Ich kaufe aktuell nicht dazu, verkaufe aber auch nicht. Wie bei solchen Altcoin-Plays nicht alles auf ein Projekt sondern auf 5-10 verteilen, wie ich es immer schreibe. Wenn dann selbst mehrere in die Binsen gehen, man aber am Ende 2-3 Topperformer hat, die ein hohes X erreichen, kommt man immer noch mit einem guten Profit raus.
Ich kaufe aktuell nicht dazu, verkaufe aber auch nicht. Wie bei solchen Altcoin-Plays nicht alles auf ein Projekt sondern auf 5-10 verteilen, wie ich es immer schreibe. Wenn dann selbst mehrere in die Binsen gehen, man aber am Ende 2-3 Topperformer hat, die ein hohes X erreichen, kommt man immer noch mit einem guten Profit raus.
Danke für deine Einschätzung.
Ich bin ebenfalls investiert und verkaufe nicht.
