Re: Future of NEO

I am VERY confident Neo will hit upper three figures (> $500) by end of 2018. Governments like Neo because it aims to be a regulated and compliant currency. This will play HUGE part in reaching mass adoption.

I don't want to say too much and look like a shill, but spend a weekend researching Neo and the team behind it, you will not regret.

Why is everyone here so concerned about the price? This coin should be in top 50 based on fundamentals alone.

It is released by a huge company with existing customer base. Any one who buy in now will be rewarded in the near future.

Re: Exchange KuCoin and KuCoin shares

Very interesting revenue model as well profitable for their investor, i see projects like these which are similar to others like COSS are worth and easy to success as long there are volumes which keep their profits rolling, generally investment should of course be injected for a better platform for trading as well systematic updates, development, partnerships and blockchain operations.

Why do people keep saying it is profitable? Right now 1 share of kcs will pay $0.0015 a day. 1 kcs costs $10.34 so it takes 6893.33 days or 18.89 years to get roi (at $150 million per day volume), and that is only because the cost went down. People were saying it was profitable even when the roi got to 48 years. Even now it is a bad deal. The kcs are only as much as they are because people are stupid and can't do basic math but once they learn how it will crash.

The amount of money you get per share of KCS depends on their trading volume. Kucoin is a relatively new exchange so they still have room to grow. Once Kucoin gets huge volume the payout will be much higher.

2017 Was Bitcoin's Year. 2018 Will Be Bitcoin's and Neo's year.

With lightning network, we will see huge adoption and a great use case for Bitcoin. Get some BTCs while they are still cheap.

As for Neo, it probably has the best fundamentals of all alt coins. Should be place right next to or just under Ethereum in terms of market cap. We are also seeing a lot of ICOs choosing Neo over Ethereum.

It would be very helpful if there was a way to revamp my original installation where i deposited some ark and now cannot access, so frustrated with this coin, not sure its worth anything, since i cannot access my coins and ARK just doesnt load. Ubuntu install, and worked great out of game in Oct, but now, oh boy. Where is the help to recover and reinstall their stuff? Best resource?

Not the coin's fault you lost your passphrase - the ONE and ONLY thing needed for accessing you ARK in a wallet...  Roll Eyes

Agreed. If you are not intelligent enough to even keep your pass phrase secure, what the hell are you doing in the crypto market where everything is so technical?

NEO is the top 2 popular platform in the world, will be $800 EOY.

NEO has already been adopted by many projects. I think it should be in top 5. Right behind Ethereum.

Re: Substratum ICO - August 7-September 7 (Pre-Sale with Bonuses Available Now)
by

The time to buy Sub is before they release the next step in their development, especially with the price coming down over a dollar from all-time highs.

Plus, this isn't some sort of speculative coin, like most coins out there. The actual crypto has a use-case, and you can get passive income doing nothing once the Sub network is up just by letting it run while you're inactive (it will even run while you're active, just not at full capacity).

This is a 100% speculative coin.

1. We don't know if the Devs are capable of delivering

2. We have not seen any sort of technical discussion. This community is full of Lambo and Moon talks.

3. There is no working product yet.

I find it weird coming back here (since I said I was gone), but I guess I actually have to defend Substratum (price potential) right now...

I have found that many "technical" coins that are really the best don't get the recognition their tech deserves, since the market is changing. Instead of the tech-focused people we had two years ago (when I first got involved), we now have people who buy into whatever is hyped up the most, or gets the flashiest marketing.

As a result, coins like Sub go up quite a bit (although we're still in the middle of a mass-market correction).

However, this also means that investing strategy needs to be rethought - personally I will always invest mainly in the objectively best coins, the ones the have a product, and perhaps also masternodes or PoS (which are both passive income - there is nothing new here), but I am starting to rethink the price potential of coins like Substratum, which are based on hype.

That's partially why I chose to invest in it in the first place.

Hype and FOMO are powerful factors in investing, and can drive up prices faster than you can believe.

Anyways... we will see...

I agree completely. We are getting a new wave of investors who are not technically sound. Housewives, middle-aged men, business people. They do not understand tech. The key to getting 500% gains every month only requires ambitious promises, some buzzwords and aggressive marketing.

I have changed my investment strategy also. Whitepaper or source code reviews are not required anymore.

Quick question about Google Autheticator 2FA.
by

Currently I have set-up 2FA on all my exchange accounts (Binance, Bittrex, etc.) with Google Authenticator.

If my phone suddenly dies tomorrow, would I lose access to the 2FA keys?

I don't see any options for backing up or transferring the 2FA keys.

Hey NEO folks! Just wanted to pop in here and share our great news that we're moving from Ethereum to NEO!

Our Narrative team is very excited about the possibilities and future for NEO!

Wise choice! Investing money into hosting your project on NEO shows the legitimacy and seriousness of the project.

Why is this coin staying steady despite Korean news? Doesn't this coin has Korea specific roadmap?

I've been wondering the same thing. Was about to buy a large bag of ICX but the news has put me off abit (Fake or not).

Has anyone seen any statement from ICON in regard to the proposed banning of exchanges in Korea.

Not saying this is actually going to happen but it would be to hear their thoughts on it being Korean based.

Why let FUD prevent you from investing in what you think is a great project? You already know the FUD is fake. ICX price dropped because of FAKE FUD. That is the BEST time to invest imo.

Oh,no! it's jumping. Pump and jump again?
Shit!
Never mind. I am a long-term holder. So let's see in one year.

RLC got listed on Binance just 3 hours ago!

I was surprised to see it go up 100% in a mere few hours too. Hopefully this will attract new investors who support the technology and idea.

RLC is a legit project with great devs. If they deliver their promises, this will be one of the best investment in 2018 and one of the most promising projects this year.

Re: what is the future of Bitcoin ?
by
redbean27

The future of Bitcoin is not so clear.

With First Mover advantage and Network Effect, it has the potential to remain as the top currency for years to come.

Bitcoin must speed up the network and reduce fees by 2018, or it WILL drop to second or third in marketcap.

If Bitcoin can scale fast enough, it will remain as the king and we will see mass adoption of Bitcoin.

Over the past couple of weeks the market was irrational and investors flowed to vaporware like ADA and Tronix.

The market has finally come to its senses and money is flowing to the legit projects again. This is why projects like Ark, Neo, Ethereum, etc. have been rising in the past few days.

Don't know if you read this fantastic write up, I'll just leave it here (it makes you think why the hell ark isn't valued at least $25 right now):

Ark isn't traded at $25 right now is because the market is currently irrational and driven by emotions.

Just look at shitcoins and vaporware like EOS or Tron, they can be in top 10 marketcap even without their own blockchain.

If Ark wanted to, it just has to add a few buzz words like what tronix is doing and I guarantee it will go into top 10 in a month.

But Ark is still in development and we are in this for the long term, not short term pump and dumps. With tech like this, we will be one of the most well known crypto projects if the devs deliver.

Just hodl on.

For me it is XRP. I guess the whales are just pumping the coin. it's not a really decentralized Completely Centralized coin still done for the banks
and has one of the highest supply. I believe with time it will deep.

Fixed it for you. Oh and for anyone looking to invest into Ripple, the CEO owns 60% of all Ripple.

RaiBlocks looks promising, but as of right now, it is overvalued.

LTC  payment for  Amazon soon I think  Grin

Megaboom if it's real

I wish it could happen as well, but it is too good to be true; Amazon would rather develop its own crypto currency instead of using anything else. Same valid for Alibaba, Jack Ma even publicly said he won't use crypto.

Jack Ma did say he won't use crypto, because he DOESN'T UNDERSTAND it. Give it a few years and let cryptocurrencies mature, and people will start to see its usefulness.

How to take advantage of the ridiculous price premium on Korean markets?
by
redbean27
on 07/01/2018, 11:14:06 UTC
Everything is trading at 30-50% premium on Bithumb.

Anybody taking advantage of this (e.g. sell BTC holdings in Korea, exchange KRW to USD, gain more BTC on USD exchanges, repeat) Huh
