GMiner v2.51 available for download

v2.51
+ significant CPU usage reduction (up to 5x, fixed LA problem under HiveOS)
+ fixed bug with AE mining (appeared in 2.50)
+ fixed bug with worker name (appeared in 2.50)

Ethash fee is 0.65%
KAWPOW fee is 1%

Using a RTX 2080 TI, my speed has dropped from 56-58MH to 45MH.  I have had to revert to an older version to get my old performance.  Mining ETH.

Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3
by

The price for iBeLink was $6k (so if you add PSU & shipping of bitmain) its 50% difference and 36% more efficiency.

I was considering

What about quality?
--> bitmain's D3 have one FAN vs iBeLink have 5 FANS (which means more cooling?)
--> bitmain is using compact casing vs iBeLink using server type chasis (which means more airflow?)

What about price difference?
--> bitmain price is $2700 and if you add PSU & shipping its going to be somewhere around $3100 to $3200 vs iBeLink price including shipping $6300 so it means 50% pricing difference

What about power consumption?
--> bitmain 0.087 watt vs iBeLink 0.075 watt per megahash

What about delivery time?
--> bitmain announced delivery starting from 15th September (means after 2 month) vs iBeLink promised delivery within 1 month

What about capacity?
--> bitmain claims 15000 MHs vs iBeLink 10800 MHs (so a difference of nearly 36%+ hash rate)

What about reliability?
--> In forums i read people claim that bitmain's equipment are not high in quality and unless you put them in datacenter or live in a very cold region they cause maintenance issues

CONCLUSION:

On Power consumption & capacity:
not a big difference, but winner is a winner, iBeLink Wins Smiley

On delivery time:
One way that iBeLink can satisfy their customer on price difference is to start shipping out earlier so they will be happy.

On quality:
Everyone have their own view but as per my research the miners who bought bitmain bitcon miners are not so much satisfied with quality, with iBeLink having 4 extra fans and more airflow by using larger chasis vs bitmains small chasis i think iBeLink is going to be a smooth ride.

On Price:
i get my iBeLink on 15th August as my order was confirmed on 15th July , i will have 1 month and with that i am expected to make $4000 , so it will put me equivalent in terms of pricing as my higher price difference would be recovered. (so i have no regrets for placing iBeLink order)

My Vote:
I support iBeLink because they were one producing equipment when bitmain was sleeping and we as crypto-people should not allow any giant to eat innovative players like iBeLink. Even look at bitcoin war going on , main culprit is this Bitmain who threatened with hardfork because they are largest supplier of bitcoin equipment & own largest pool

We should give companies like iBeLink chance and confident they will not shake our trust and ultimately prove to be winner.

My request to iBeLink is that they should deliver faster delivery to help their customers avoid price massacre initiated by bitmain.

Thanks.

Pretty sure those iBeLink are almost a month late from the first group buy.  It was supposed to be completed and delivered by end of June.  Those that just invested their funds into GPU mining and expansion have been making money instead of letting it sit and do nothing.  Then consider the difficulty spike when all of these get to market, the ROI calculators you see now need not apply.

Also, not sure how it is costing 400 dollars for a PSU for this.  Server PSUs are easy to source and much cheaper than $400.

Lucky buggers you all! While I was napping in a different part of the world on my holiday.
A bit jealous, missed out on 2 good buys this week first ibelink and now bitmain. Anyways enjoy it guys you all deserve it.
from a bonafide bitmain slave  Grin

You got a link to the Ibelink sale?

Why in the world would you want to buy an iBelink 11ghs for 7000 if you can buy 15ghs for 2700 ?
But here it is if you would like to throw away your money: https://ibelink.co/

Where is that group buy that were selling the ibelink for 7500 and saying you could retail if for 13k when its released....people that got into that group buy must be feeling so mad now...
Specially because the official ibelink site was selling it for 5998.00 just a few days ago.... Great Job "helping" the community out guys..

There were those that warned the community to not do that group buy, but we were chastised.  Especially since there was money skimmed off the top.

This makes me so happy I didn't waste 100k and order those other dash miners months ago.  Did those even ever get shipped?  I haven't been on the boards for a while.

Are there any plans to delay this ICO due to the huge backlogs and delays of the ETH Network right now?  I've tried to consolidate funds into a single wallet and none of the transactions are even broadcast yet after an hour of waiting.  This feels like it is going to take away from ICO in a large way.

Great PSA post, thank you.  So many are getting into mining now without doing research, these are much needed so people don't recklessly quit their day jobs before understanding how it all works.  It will certainly be interesting to see when difficulty catches up to the price increase.  Power cost is still king.

This seems to be par for the course.  I had a few good interactions with Padrino in the past, but after trying to order 600+ custom cables, he went MIA during our conversation in PM.  I messaged him 5-6 additional times over the course of the following weeks with zero reply, yet he had the time to reply to a few items here on the boards.  Definitely not reliable at this time.

by

on 10/05/2017, 21:45:44 UTC
I was able to get a bulk order of the Biostar TB85s and have a little more than I need at this time.  Testing waters selling 10-20 units.  These are a great alternative to the H81 and very difficult to find in large quantities.

Asking $115 each + shipping.  They come in boxes of 10 so if you get 10 I will cover the shipping for you.

US Shipping Only

Accepting BTC only as payment method

Please see my trust feedback as you can deal with me with confidence.

Thanks,

Good luck with your scam.  I hope your future Group Buys and online store work out.

Btw-  I saw a question earlier asking what your take is on this deal.  It seems you avoided the question.

I have not avoided any questions, my take on this deal is it is SAFE, I am organising it as I have many others before this

You HAVE avoided questions.  You still refuse to confirm who the sellers are.  Why?  You also ignored my PM last night showing you that these miners are 5k, not $6750.  This level of secrecy really bothers me.

I was the one that backed out of the deal from your OP.  My investors did not like the fact the lack of disclosure that the miners were actually $5,000 and not $5,500 we were being charged.  After seeing Bittawm's group buy for 5k, along with 2 other pending deals from Ibelink pricing the miners at $5k, they felt that there was money being skimmed off the top, very much like this thread here.  Once I made my investor's concerns made known and was firm on them, then I was offered the miners at $5,000 plus whatever shipping/customs would be.

Kilo's deal will only fail if there isn't enough interest, not for lack of authenticity.  At least he has the integrity to detail out every cost itemized instead of the doubt being cast on this thread.  The sellers will be made known after the purchase is made?  Why?  That makes absolutely no sense.

***Edited***

The community has been made aware.  If you are good with paying $6750 knowing that there is built in cost for others to get free miners, then no need continuing down the path of some massive expose' as you believe there is still value in that price.

I, for one, will never look at a group buy the same again though.

I am aware of 4 separate deals this manufacture is doing, or has proposed.  Each of them have been for 5k per miner.  For them to all of a sudden be $6750, when I know the other 3 of the 4 other deals have had time extensions to pay, is very unlikely.

I have always appreciated this mining community because we have mostly had each other's backs.  This sort of stuff is distasteful if true that there is built in costs not discussed with the community.  If you feel your time is worth a few extra miners, then say it and disclose it.  I don't think any of us would fault for that.  As soon as it is hidden, that is when trust is broken and we start to devolve into just another shitty community.

Once i will start taking fees i will have money for reinvesting ofcourse.
New more powerfull server, much more time to spare on project becasue i could give my current job (not related to simplemining) to other people.
I really like this project and want to make it more and more perfect Smiley

I very much appreciate your hard work Tytanick.  You have made the barrier of entry to large scale deployments painless, for the most part.  I have not regretted one single cent I have donated, or spent on your SRR product.  I will be happy to pay your rig fee.

I think my only ask is that you lay out some sort of succession plan.  What happens to the project should unforeseen circumstances come about?  It would be a shame for something like this to go to the wayside.

Your project truly highlights a key value that resonates with me in that you are making Crypto accessible to more people, and by doing so we can start to actually feel the momentum racing towards mainstream adoption.

I don't have any MSI's but there are some threads around here expressing discontent with the quality of the MSI rx 4xx cards.  Just FYI.

the armor sucks

the red led gamers are fine

as to the op are you in the uk?

I know this may sound  off the wall.

but  go with the nvidia   1070, 1080 or 1080 ti  and mine ZEC coin.

I would even say  if they are too pricey get a nvidia 1060 with 6gb ram

this is decent  for a low end nvidia

Re: [SUCCESS] 7 GPU Mining with Asrock H81 Pro BTC + PCIe Switch/Hub

Regarding cables:

Yes, I've always made cables. Been selling PSU breakout boards for a little over three years and they've always shipped with in-house-manufactured cables.

The cables I made for this build are 24" from EVGA 8-pin PCIe (and CPU) split to two PCIe 6+2. 18AWG wiring is necessary for doubling up in a pin (double 16AWG is too much wire for a solid reliable crimp) but that's still good for about 150W per end, meeting PCIe 8-pin spec.

Not sure if they're in use in this build but I also supplied some 6-pin to 4-Molex for riser power, plugging into the EVGA's SATA/RERP ports.

Yup, thanks for them. And yes, your cables are being used. Each riser and each GPU is independently powered from their own ports on the EVGA power supply, except for one port is powering 2 risers because of my 7 GPU set up (My powered risers are the 4 pin molex, I don't feel comfortable using those sata to molex adapters so I had sidehack make some molex ends for my PSU).

Here is a diagram of my setup in-case anyone else is interested:
(Note: Riser 5 is on a molex split because I needed a power source for my SSD.)

To save yourself some cabling in the future, you can split one power cable to two of your 480s easily.  I use a 6pin to dual 6+2 pin adapter and the builds are much cleaner.  Very nice job though.Smiley

So you've got 2 cards powered on a single pcie power line?

Yeah.  470/480s can do that pretty easily.  You just don't want to go above 300w total on a single pcie line.
