Does the OP have an established bitcoin talk account to begin the first part of verification?

I agree with most people on here with the established campaign financing. Even if you got 25 BTC from an established exchange it would help in proving you're legit.

Can anyone verify that this campaign pays? On the bitcoin talk overview post it marks this campaign as "in trouble".

Any luck with P2P loan sites?
by
regor
on 11/06/2016, 21:22:09 UTC
I've been looking at ways to invest my Bitcoin, and I've come across several lending sites that look legitimate and promise to bring me a fair, legitimate return. (Loanbase and btcjam)

Has anyone tried these sites? Is their expected earning percentage accurate?

Is there another investment strategy I should be looking at? I know there are a lot of people who emphasize the buy and hold mentality, and I'm open to any suggestions.

Gold hasn't changed much either, but it still has value. I'm a strong believer that bitcoin's value is based on the community that surrounds it, and as long as we promote it and use it for honest purposes, bitcoin's value will rise.

It's a good thing that Bitcoin doesn't change if it's secure. But even if there were a major security flaw found in Bitcoin, the miners could vote to update the protocol. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong, that's just what I'm putting together)

What proof can you provide that you are actually a legitimate company? If you're looking to start a company of that size, maybe you should go through an actual bank for at least some of your funds so you can prove to the board that this is serious. Banks would vet your business plan and would be a credible ally in your mission to raise funds and interest.

Do you have an edge into the market? How many potential customers are in Seychelles, and why would they do business with you? Would these customers prefer an online, global, established exchange?

I see that you're a newbie on this forum, like me, so who are you and what are your qualifications? Who else is on your team?

What are we getting back? Equity? Or is this a loan?

Sorry to bother you with the questions, but it's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to scams.

Re: If i give you 10 BTC what will you do?
by

Start a business. 10 BTC is a nice amount and should cover a lot of BTC small business costs, but if not, it would make it easier to get a loan.

I'm not sure what the business would be though.... Stock trading with a BTC investment?

If I have 10 BTC I buy a car Smiley
5800$ car... dunno...
better ant miners or hype invest Smiley

No this is too much for that  Undecided

I've used qhoster, I've been very happy with the price. They're customer service team is a bit hard to work with though, but wasn't a huge issue for me.

IOS and Windows 8.

I do most things on my iPhone, I don't currently have any active servers, but I used Ubuntu and it worked great.

Re: Which BTC wallet are you using

The blockchain.info wallet and the Android wallet by Schildbach (if I'm not mistaken). Most of my holdings are kept in a paper wallet, laminated, and placed in a folder. Cheesy

Old school, huh?  Cheesy

I use blockchain too for all of my bitcoins, but I don't have enough for me to worry at night about wallet security. Blockchain.info is definitely more secure than the alternatives and I like the fact that I can access my bitcoins anywhere.

Re: How would you double $100,000 safely?
by
regor
on 10/06/2016, 19:11:24 UTC
Doubling your money is a tall order.

I would recommend that you invest your Bitcoin in a business, learn how to day trade or invest in loans. Don't just hold the bitcoins, make them work for you. If you are actively investing, you will gain an immediate return on those investments as well as a longer term yield as the Bitcoin price increases.

Unless you're the house, stay away from gambling and ponzi schemes.

Good luck!  Smiley

You could try peer to peer loans. They don't pay as much as the risky strategies but they'll definitely grow your portfolio a bit.

Re: The Pharmacist giving false negative trust
by

The Pharmacist is a TRUST SPAMMER for whatever reason.
Has given 45+ negative trust ratings to anyone who posts in the auction thread to do with selling of accounts, no matter what is posted.  Roll Eyes
Somebody should NUKE THIS TRUST ABUSING FOOL.

You bid on an account. The Pharmacist apparently doesn't trust account sellers/buyers. That's how the trust system is supposed to work. Which part of this you think is abusive?

Every part. Isn't trust supposed to help everyone determine literally how trustworthy they are? What's the point if someone leaves trust without reading the post?

Is it legal for governments to store our identity information on a modified blockchain to make ID verification easier? If it is, should it be?

It's not surprising. Blockchains are more secure, and now that Bitcoin has shown that it works, all of our electronic finances should go through a Blockchains.

Re: TIL Activity does not work on precisely 2 week intervals + interval timings
by
regor
on 08/06/2016, 15:43:07 UTC
Q : How is activity calculated ?

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Thanks! This is exactly what I was looking for!
