I heard in p2p one should add difficulty after the url with +xxxxx where x's are numbers. Any info on that? Currently I read my difficulty is 1024 from the pool.

Also, how much coins should I generate @ 2.57MH/s?

Vertcoin?  even the name just sounds terrible.

Look at the design of this forum. It's pretty awful. Still you are using it. And imho dogecoin is a wtf name - and it's one of the most popular coins.

Hi,

I am running Vertminer 0.5.3 on Xubuntu 12.04. So far no problems. Only one thing that bothers me is that Vertminer is not showing overview of hashrate, fan speed, temperatures, etc. as usual but I get screen of "running" text where actual hashrate is sometimes shown at the very bottom.

Do you have any idea what is wrong? Thanks for help.

Do you have libncurses5-dev installed?

I installed mentioned lib but unfotunately with no efect.

Any other idea? Is there someone who runs Linux rig who can share experiences? Thanks.

I got it working by overwriting the binary with this http://vertcoin.org/downloads/vertminer.tgz It's on vertcoin frontpage. Version is 0.5.2.

You're my hero. The settings got my 2x 280x running at 340x each! I have 4gb ram and vertminer 0.5.2

( I compiled 0.5.3 and overwrite the allready built binary (http://vertcoin.org/downloads/vertminer.tgz) Otherwise I didn't get the temps showing. Same probleme that Ewing mentioned here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=416572.380 )
http://s15.postimg.org/7zfhl1rrf/vertminer.gif

Also, I had pretty good results before but I got few HW's with this:
Code:
-v 1 -w 256 -I 13 -g 2 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-powertune -20 --temp-target 65 --temp-overheat 75 --temp-cutoff 80 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-engine 1000 --thread-concurrency 8191

Now you're config is this which is giving no errors:
Code:
-v 1 -w 256 -I 13 -g 2 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-powertune -20,-20 --temp-overheat 85 --temp-cutoff 90 --gpu-memclock 1500,1500 --gpu-engine 1000,1000 --thread-concurrency 8193

I think the only real difference is thread-concurrency. And it was off only off by 2 :S

And for the final note, I have "Asus Radeon R9 280x DirectCU II / 3GB GDDR5 / (R9280X-DC2-3GD5)"

Didn't work either with old graphic drivers. They might have been Win 7 defaults.

I downloaded latest beta drviers - 334.67-notebook-win8-win7-64bit-international-beta.exe - from Nvidia (installed only the driver).

With some configuring and using 2013-04-30 cudaminer, i got about 6.2 khash/s. It was even 9 at some point but not anymore. Don't know what happened.

Here's my configuration:
cudaminer.exe -d 0 -i 0 -l 12x4 -C 0 -m 0 --benchmark

Newer version of cudaminer got me far less hashes.

All-in-all, no point mining with that Smiley
