Re: PhoenixMiner 5.8c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux)
by
reids
on 11/11/2021, 09:37:53 UTC
The  new  version  is  finally  ready.  You  can  download  PhoenixMiner  5.8c  from  here:

PhoenixMiner_5.8c_Windows.zip Github
PhoenixMiner_5.8c_Linux.tar.gz Github

Changes in version 5.8c :
  • Full LHR disable mode -lhrdis <n>  1 - yes (default), 0 - no
  • Added lock core clock
  • Fixed an issue causing crashing with some RTX 3060/3080/3090 cards
  • Implemented new "turbo" kernels (-clkernel 3) for AMD Polaris cards that can work with the current DAG sizes over 4 GB. Note that -clkernel 3 uses double the VRAM and will
provide slightly faster hashrate with slightly higher power consumption. You can use the -rvram command-line parameter to specify how much VRAM to be left unused
  • Increased the maximum supported DAG epoch to 600 (i.e. until about Sep 2023)
  • Implemented full hardware control for AMD RX6900/6800/6700 cards under Linux. Note that with these cards under Linux you need to specify relative core voltage: e.g. -
cclock -50 will set the core voltage to be 50 mV under the default value
  • Added ROCr kernels for Vega, Radeon VII and Navi cards. With these kernels you will be able to run these cards with Linux drivers 20.45 and later but the performance will
be lower than with the older PAL drivers and kernels. We recommend using AMD Linux driver 20.30 for all cards except RX6900/6800/6700
  • Fixed an issue causing crashing with some RX6900/6800/6700 cards under Linux (there is no need to run these cards with -clkernel 0 anymore)
  • Added support for AMD Windows drivers up to 21.8.1. Note that Radeon VII cards will not work with drivers 21.6.1 or higher - you need to use older drivers for proper
    operation of these cards
  • Added support for AMD Linux drivers up to 21.20 (use older drivers for Vega or Radeon VII cards as they will not work with 21.20). Note that the latest 21.30 drivers are
not supported (and the initial testing shows that even the older Polars cards are not working properly with them, so avoid 21.30 for now)
  • Numerous other fixes and small improvements

Please let us know if you have any problems or questions related to PhoenixMiner 5.8c

Been mining for a month with no problems, see that last night my miner stopped mining. Reboot the PC and open Claymores miner again and the window instantly closes. Anyone experienced this before or knows what's causing it?

Don't get confused brother,Yes I am new to crypto world.I just want to know if it is possible to mine any coin manually or not??? About ICO signature, I think u better know why I hawking it.Its signature campaign for that ICO and that do not require any hardware etc...Just manual copy paste....

But what do you mean by "manual mining"?

Re: I have 1 BTC investment, Looking for help in Ethereum mining.
by

on 30/06/2017, 12:04:24 UTC
Hello Everyone,

I am ready to invest 1 BTC to build mining machine, but I don't have any idea how to do Ethereum mining. I have few questions in my mind I am going to ask one by one.

1) I bought SAPPHIRE PULSE RADEON RX 580 8GB 256-Bit GDDR5 HDMI/DVI-D/DP OC GRAPHIC CARD.

2) i5 Motherboard, 16gb Ram, power supply and 500gb SSD.

My questions...

1) Still what all hardware equipment i need to set up mining machine?

2) I can install Windows 10 OS, But after that, i don't know which software I am going to install to start mining.

3) First, I am going to start with only 1 graphic card, So if I run the machine 24/7 how much profit I will get? Means how many Eth I will generate per month?

4) If power cut in the middle means it will effect on my machine or it will effect on mining software?

apart from hardware what I mentioned in the top, i don't know anything about this ETH mining, Please explain step by step methods how to start ETH mining.

Thank you.

Why did you buy the equipment without any research?

1) You still need a processor (unless that's what you meant by i5 motherboard)
2) Research it online. Plenty of topics about this, some even in the forum you're posting in so you obviously haven't looked very hard!
3) At current rates about 0.6 eth per month.
4) Most likely won't effect the hardware (but could cause damage if you're unlucky), but will obviously affect your profit.

Nobody will give you a full step by step list of everything you need to do, look it up online - there's countless resources out there.

Thanks for your reply, but no use.

And that's why people won't give a step by step list of what to do Smiley
I hope someone will help me let's wait for some time.

Guess I was right huh? Roll Eyes

trying to mine burst as well

but using the miner from cpu miner in the wallet is a joke, I ran it for two days with my 8TB got zero payments from the pool

also tried GPU mining from the wallet it works for a time then after a while loses connection to the pool, this is on a machine that is running claymore with and i7 and there are no connectivity issues

any tips on a pure GUI batch file miner that actually works ?  I have a fully plotted 8TB ( took 3 days to plot on the 12 core 6800k machine i have)

thanks for the tips

Are you sure you set up the pool right? I've made almost 2000 burst in under a month with less than 6TB..

is this still profitable to mien i see the value is tanking again and returning to 100 satoshi slowly, while the diff keep increase? maybe it's a gamble now to buy some hdd to mine this, i think it was always better to buy when it was very cheap and hold until the recent pump, what do you think?

LOL returning to 100 sat  Grin Grin Grin, today the price rised again and now it's 415 sat

Complete Noob for this type of coin..

What is the best miner to use for burst coin. I have (4) 3tb WD Reds that I am thinking of plotting with a Ryzen 1700 by the weekend.
Thoughts?

Can this cause any harm to the drives? 1 or 2 aren't completely empty.

Not really, once the drives been plotted it only reads the drive once every 4 minutes.

Hi Everybody,

Does anyone know what's the best miner that can not be detected by antivirus? Since I can not using so many miners due to antivirus detected and delete the miner.

Highly appreciated for your help!

Add it to the exceptions of your AV.

On all 500 company computers?

He would need a management console for that  Grin

///=> Yes! this is what I mean, I would like to find out a silent miner, that can run without AV's detection. Highly appreciated for your comments!

I don't think many people on here will want to help you break the law..

It goes into your ethermine wallet: https://ethermine.org/miners/7a063500eCEAD4ce40CaB669FF1a858F0Cd97884

You'll then have to use ethermine to send it to your MEW wallet.

yes, your mentality of wanting eth to pass bitcoin is what getting you broke!
you keep refusing the fact this bloodbath dumping have nothing to do with bitcoin but it is because of ethereum network problem, full of bugs, scale issue, not the rumor or fake car crash. Smart people know Eth problem is just the start for them, more bugs, more hacks, more forks, more halt coming.

I don't get why you are so bitter about eth, there's a world where they can co-exist just fine. Unless you are as I expect either massively invested in bitcoin or 15 years old.

Just like you refused eth is the problem

Is it because of eth that bitcoin is going up now?

Surely if bitcoin was all conquering it wouldn't be affected by eth? Every market is undergoing a correction, you can't put that solely on eth - it's how markets work.

Disclaimer: Been invested in BTC since 2014 and Eth since 2016.
