Democratizing Blockchain Forks
https://blog.aeternity.com/democratizing-blockchain-forks-2460ff245c4e
Forks can improve blockchain systems, but they should be the result of a consensus-building process involving all stakeholders.
You have definitely heard the work fork quite frequently these days. And not only while dining. A fork is a way to change the rules in a blockchain system by doing a software upgrade. There are two types of forks — soft and hard forks.

Beautiful content. Amazing!

I think the last update is a really great one! Amazing update!

Of course it won't reflect on price yet, but that's ok, this is a long term investment.

1. Which languanges can developers need to use to code an app?
2. How are the mixing PoW and PoS algorithm going to work? Is this set yet? any proportion way set or a fixed inflation rate set?
3. How is that BlackSeaChain Conference going to be organized? Is this a public online conference? and when is this?

Thanks and keep up the good work.

Everyone,

We can assure you that things are really moving forward with development and community. We had some great internal discussions in the past few days and really, we are all convinced that the future is looking really bright. We will be announcing new bounties very soon too.

In the meantime, read this comment from "Emma" from our Telegram group.

Stay tuned!

Regards,
The AE team

Amazing...

Ain't such a good programmer, still wondering where I'm able to find more info in order to put my two cents on this project. I'd like to get familiar with the code and all of the technical things being done under AE.

Slack channel is a good place?

Maybe it's ok if i will not get yet my token. I will just wait for the price to reach 100 dollars. Is it ok? I wont get any problem? I paid using bitcoin.
I bet 1 BTC that that mainnet will not be launched in q1 2018 ! Anybody accepts my bet ?

I would like to accept a bet like this, only thing is I would also like to be at that same side of the bet, lol

What made you think that the mainnet will not be launched in q1?

Because of this...

I have learned one thing in development that there are no hard dates in software related things. It is always subject to change according to needs and modifications. I will not mind if the main net launch is ready before or with slight delay. Security and stability is matters more than everything for such projects.

They have to set a date just because you have to set dates on plans and just because they have to say something to ICO investor. But a different thing is how things happen. I think the project is big enough to go according to a very well and large scheduled plan

Can't wait to point all my mine farm to AE PoW.

BTW, is Aeternity going to release an algo for mining itself?. Or we have to wait for some kind of "claymore for aeternity"?

I thing this Cuckoo Cycle algo is new, so I don't think anyone has code a miner yet, am I right?

I was thinking to keep most of the ark tokens with me for long terms as an investment, so I plan to spend only 3% of my ark tokens, as this is not much I'm affraid this is the only thing I will be able to afford.

If the team can finally lay out the plan to make investors put more money to it after the launch, there may be less dumps until desired price.

This is the only thing I've been thinking about for a while. The team should invest a lot of money on good and quality advertising.

Actually, even more than just advertising, the team should have a very good plan to try to target real and serious investors, wherever it can find a lot of capital.

Of course, advertising needs something to advertise. This is, at the same time always focus on adding value to ARK system, innovate something that really serves people.

Can't wait for the mainnet launch

This is not the first negative nuance that concerns ARK, I really do not like what they did with bonus LSK during ICO, with the result that, with the bonus was less tokens ARK than without the bonus, and now a lot of negativity about a delayed start the network, I I think the price of a token would be very low

Where can I see this info? How much each investor did get based on money invested and bonuses, etc? Thanks

I have an amount of token arks but I would like to compare it with others investments

Hello

Have a question.

What should I consider when chosing a mining pool?. I have a S7 B2 on its way to my house. It should be delivered on thursday and this is my first miner.

I have been reading about the different methods each pool work (PPS, PPLNS, DGM, SMPPS, etc...) and also we can find several pools on each method. Which method and which pool do you think work better and why? If two given pools work on PPS for example, how is that possible that one of them could have their luck on "-8%" (just saying something), I thought statiscally both of them should be "the same thing" (of course according to their each mining total power)

Do they have any trick I should take care of?

Is there anyway to measure efficiency of each mining pool without having to test each pool for several hours or days?

Thank you

Hello.

I'm a newbie here. I have been trying to learn a lot on the bitcoin mining world. I wanted to buy miner since GPU times, but never did. I have been following bitmaintech's products but never bought one until S7 B2.

Yes, I finally bought an S7 B2 from BMT and I wanted to add my two cents by saying it was shipped today.

My order was made on Oct 15th with a confirmed payment just less than an hour after my order was placed. And I received an email today from them (say 10h ago) saying my order was shipped with tracking number. I logged in on my BMT account and my order was updated with tracking # and I can check tracking # on dhl website. Everything seems to be right so far. As a note, they shipped two packages as they updated my shipping info with two tracking numbers. I ordered an S7 B2 and one 1600W PSU from them. That's all I ordered and this is my very first time buying bitcoin miners.

Main outlet voltage here is 120V but I can get 240V from the two 120V phases. I think I can do it with an electrician and also thanks to all the help a lot of you have been providing on this thread. Thank you so much!!!

I will be reading dogie guides to make the proper setup to the miner but if I have any question I'll let you know as this is my first time doing this.

Thank you again.

It's good to hear you had a pleasant experience with BMT.  I ordered Batch #1 on September 3, 2015 and received it on October 16, 2015.  It was 4 days past the deadline.  You just happen to order at a good time.

As for my order; yes, it was late.  Do I feel it was a scam?  HELL NO!!!  Do I feel like I was treated fairly?  Yes!  Do I feel like the compensation to come is fair?  Yes!  Others with less power cost or no power cost may not agree.  So, BMT did an "average" for compensation.  Was it a scam?  HELL NO!!!

Have some received equipment with heatsinks out of position and actually causing some rigs to burn up?  Yes.  Did they get satisfactory response to resolve the issue?  I would say more than likely, YES!!!  Is this a perfect world with perfect people and perfect government with perfect corporations?  No!  Do some governments and corporations take advantage of people?  Yes.  Do I think BMT took advantage of those it sold S7's to?  HELL NO!!!

Do I think BMT learned from the issues that developed during this episode with the S7's?  Yes.  Will they learn from this episode?  Yes.  Will something like this happen again?  Probably not.  Will something else come up in the future with other models yet to come on the market?  Possibly... It's not a perfect world.  Will they offer a means of correcting a potential issue in the future?  I would say, YES!!!

BMT has been a good company and just as loyal to the home/small farm/large farm miner than any other manufacturer out there.  I believe you were in good hands when you placed your order with them.  I'm happy this forum has been informative to you and I want to welcome you to the fold.

Happy mining, reinaldo, and may the blocks be with you!

David

Thanks for welcoming me!

Yes, I also thought I made the order at a good time. Luck for me!!!

I've heard BMT is a good company and at this moment I better buy from them. Too bad B1 was delayed a lot of time, but as you said, it's not a perfect world. Yet I have to accept if that would have happened to me I would be very disappointed and pissed off, so I think I can understand a lot of people frustration about this.

As you said... I hope they learn from this and try to prevent these situations.

I'm not taking my shipment as a complete winning yet. I know I also need to wait for the miner to hash at the rate is supposed to, so I need to be wished good luck yet.

Anyway, thanks for replying and may the blocks be with you LOL ( I loved that saying when I read it from you several days ago here, LOL)

Bye

Reinaldo.
