Consider your investments as lost but DONT liquidate. "Move on with life" find new money and start again and get back some confidence, this time buy top 20 coins to preserve and increase value slowly.

Stop looking for moon coins for now.

You cant go wrong with ETH, NEO, Walton, Power Ledge, Steller

its too late to make gains when you're mum goes grocery shopping to pay for her stuff.

Bitcoin today is like the 1994 of the internet days, we have a LONG way to go. Get a full bitcoin and you'll be mega rich in 20/30 years time.

I can feel a million dollar bitcoin or more. I watched a video yesterday and Richard Heart said there are actually only about 5 million bitcoins that gets exchanged while the rest are hodl or lost.

They don't exist.

When you don't know, you are naturally defensive, as I was till August of this year.

SEC Coinbase and Gemini
by

If the SEC has approved Coinbase and Gemini as an exchange, does that mean the SEC has approved bitcoin as legal tender and law or are they just watching on the sidelines to see if they can or cant control it?

If they can't tax it efficiently, does that mean they can reverse the decision?

0.28% of the world will ever have a chance of owning a full BTC - We are god!
by

0.28% of the world will ever have a chance of owning a full BTC 21 million coins / 7.5 billion people. Thats not true though because early guys have hundreds of coins, so actually this figures is even less!

If bitcoin is the next world currency, us early adopters are going to be very well off in years to come.

If you follow the bell curve:

2.5% Innovators
13.5% Early adopters
34% Early majority
34% Late majority
16% Laggards

Even with Bitcoin 8 years old, we are still in the VERY early stages of innovators. So the guys whos started in 2010 must be God / Jesus lol

I feel so privileged to find btc this early (since Aug 17 lol) and can see myself winning the lottery slowly. Im planning to get some btc for my kids for when they grow up for a house down payment. If BTC grows to $1 Million, then what I btc I buy for my kinds will be enough for a down payment.

Ladies and gents, if we HODL, we'll be rich in years to come. Its 125x from this point for a million btc

Pandora box is open and it can't be easily shut. Forks cant do it, B cash cant, Mt Gox cant, Jamie Dimon cant, China ICO ban cant do it. The network effect has started and more and more people want in which just continues to fuel. People will stop buying bitcoin if the code was hacked. I think theyve tried and for 9 years, nothing. The network can be spammped with fake transactions but to my knowledge, no hacking has happened.

How to make passive income with BTC wealth? Ideas?
by
relentless1
on 17/11/2017, 10:59:39 UTC
My idea is that if it gets to $ 1 Million or so or whatever amount. Sell some to get real estate to own property that will also apprciate in value and give rental income? Or maybe put some of that into companies on the stock market that give 5-9% return per year as passive income and the rest of the btc stash can increase.

What is your idea?

Earning Passive Income of BTC without reducing the amount too much?
by
relentless1
on 17/11/2017, 10:57:08 UTC
How can we use btc and live of this growing asset? I dont like the idea of using some of that BTC to live. Just like real estate, you buy it, it continues to appreciate in value in general but you also get rental income.

Bitcoin does not do that, all it can do is just go up in value but how can you live of it? Would it be to buy rental properly with it, let THAT go up in value and then take rental income while your other stash of BTC grows?

What is a likely idea here to earn passive income of BTC without reducing the BTC holdings?

Its not about being too late. I like to view BTC as investing and getting a better ROI. To get to a $1 million btc, there is about 125x to go that is 12,500% return. What is crazy ROI if it does happy from this point. The compounding will go crazy

Index funds return about 8-15% per year and that is considered great, compared to BTC which is a disruptive technology, it pales in comparison.

Re: Bitcoin Won BTC Cash battle?
by
relentless1
on 17/11/2017, 06:55:40 UTC
Bcash will keep trying but BTC has probably won the battle for now. The whole problem was down to scaling. Bcash wanted bigger blocks, BTC said it was not scaleable long term.

I saw a great analogy:

Thin of a clogged up highway and approaches.

BCash = Lets make the road wider and bigger
Pros - more transactions
Con - you will need bigger machinery, it will grow to unmanageable blocks
You just can't keep increasing size infinitely.

BTC = Off chain transactions
Pros - Transactions are done on the side, kinda like getting people to ride bikes, motorcycles, underground train
Con - Slow to implement

Scaling smarter is best instead of the short term win of larger blocks.

$10k by the end of the year but bitcoin has such a huge network effect everyone will have FOMO so will keep buying. The greatest invention since the dawn of time. BTC is unstoppable. Bcash was a scary event, if BTC can withstand an attack like that and still bounce back, what does it say about the resilience of this amazing technology.

The only thing I fear that could stop BTC is if all countries came together to ban BTC.

Was listening to video last night and did some calculations. If we're going for $1 million, then we have at least 125x from here.

Put it another way, whatever you buy at this point, has the potential for a 12,567%. Compared to a savings account of 0.25% per year. BTC gives that a day on average since. Name another asset that can grow this fast if you believe in a $1 million BTC

Price is what you pay, value is what you get. Starting to get my head around the fuss of having to own a full BTC.

So much potential upside.
