I can't find the coin on bittrex, anyone else having this issue?

Deeponion is not (yet) listed on Bittrex! Go to cryptopia if you want to grab some! Welcome aboard!
Bittrex needs an enhanced verification of the lead dev to get listed.
If its not a scam coin, the dev would do that and we see it there soon.

So much negativity, I thought the Q&A was very informative and quite convincing. I am going to go with - not a scam bit I have been wrong before. Time will tell I guess...

It is definitely not a scam.

  • Open Source - so anyone could fork in case of a dump by the Devs
  • Free Airdrop of ~80%, Devs will hold a very small % in a few more months
  • VoteCentral to determine the direction of DO based on community sentiment
  • My personal experience of working with the Devs over the past few months - no way would it be a scam. There are far too many future plans in place and so much time and effort has been spent.

Finally, an intelligent person speaks. I have seen your work on the forums jimmybob and have no doubt you're a genius and know what you're talking about.

To the fuders, Check this contribution he is doing to the community:

Oh if jimmybob says YES then its the best opportunity of my life.
Thank you jimmybob, let me sell my house and invest in deep onion  Cool

Who the hell is jimmybob? A financial advisor....

I provide no financial advice. You do what you want with you money.

I'm merely stating and quoting facts that the project has delivered. If you think it's a scam that is your opinion and you're entitled to that. However, I kindly ask that you stop spamming the forum with FUD. If you're not holding any Onions then your comments are mute and hold no weight.

I might listen to your concerns if you were a large holder but I've already addressed them Smiley

Once the smoke is cleared and its proven beyond doubt DO is a scam, you should consider stop doing your financial advising.
Dont know how your followers is going to react...

I love drama also, i also see from your past history that you are upset because you wanted to join the airdrop but didnt want to work for the 100 $Onions, you wanted everything handed to you. I also agree you need some Prozac, talk to your Dr about it because from all your fud I can tell you have Depression and OCD issues. I am a nurse and seriously care about you both as untreated mental issues leads to Alzheimers and Parkinsons.

i dont. and i dont like being screwed. i shouldn't maybe post that much since i wasn't investing anything after a brief research. but the fact that i was forced to pay to participate in airdrop and that there was no mention of that in updated rules - felt like i would say what i think. i already promoting the project by applying to the airdrop and completing all the retweets/etc, why should i pay for my own work) did some research and found even more shit. then i posted it. but my posts were deleted without any dialog. i see posts screaming that THIS IS NOT A SCAM. but when i ask 'why' - there's no answer.

ps. even a competent doctor can not state such diagnosis over the internet, so yea looks like you are an outstanding nurse (knowing what states like that can trigger - troll nurse?HuhHuh??)
First rule of Deep onion - No criticism or else the post will be deleted.

Thank you so much. Finally I found a great community who is easily gullible.  Tongue
If the dev is respectable, he will try to answer all these accusations with proof rather than cowardly deleting them.
He definitely has something to hide.  Shocked

Hey Dev.. Why do you steal code, without giving respect to who coded it?? You have stripped the MIT licensing form the headers files and removed the link back to the repo you cloned it from. You act like you had anything to do with the source you are using... Care to explain?? Or are you just a scam artist??
@s3v3nh4cks the dev was upfront about cloning from pivx and then improving on it.If he missed changing some headers, no need to get agitated and the devs will fix it soon if anybody brings it to their attention. You yourself cloned PIVX from DASH and dont act butthurt when other teams clone  from PIVX repo. PHORE is the cheaper version of PIVX now, until the devs start rolling out features. It still time for you to get on the train Smiley

Staking is just one minor issue with the coin.
As the dev is holding 30% of the coin - as liquid coins without any restrictions to spend or no need to mine - he can dump all the coins as soon as the market gain some traction.

This has happend before for a coin called Earth coin I heard. They kept 20% or so premine for the devs. That meant the devs had 20 million at disposal when it hit the market  and all the other users are trying hard to mine the coin.Eventually the devs dumped their coins to the market, made enough money for the devs to spend on hookers and killed the coin. Do some research.

Its the same thing here. In order to create scarcity of the coin, he put a restriction of only 10% coins can be traded.
Why is there no such restrictions on the 30million the dev holds?

Also if the dev is serious about the coin, he should publish a transparency report every week with the number of coins distributed with the bitcoin profile name.
Otherwise he can create any number of wallets and pay himself a huge pat of each weekly distribution on top of the 30 million holds.

These are not hard things to produce if you are serous about the project and the dev would never do such report if he is already scamming us.
So think about it and then read the report by DodgeMajestic.

The transparency reports already exist, you can go to deeponion.org/report.php and see for every date how many coins were sent to which wallet. To get the airdrop, you need to have a ONION address in your public bitcointalk profile, to this is public information. I agree the reports could list usernames as well as wallets, I will suggest this to the Dev.

The fact that another coin failed is not proof that this one will too. There are enough examples of coins that didn't fail.

Lastly, I agree, Dev should also only be able to sell 10% of his coins, but how would you enforce that?

The current transparency report only lists some addresses. who knows who those address belongs to.Why not publish the bitcointalk usernames as well, as the information is already available to the dev.

Agreed, as I said I think that would be a good thing. I asked for that in the main thread, we'll see what happens.

I think the difference between us is I think "innocent until proven guilty", you think "guilty until proven innocent"...
I was badly burned many times here and if we know the real identity of the dev/devs then I would have followed your approach.
If the dev wants to remain anonymous, he has to give clear answers to community's questions.
If he is clear in his intentions, why would he delete the questionable posts from the thread?

The dev seems very busy deleting these posts in his thread, rather than developing the next feature.

It is free, so I don't really see the problem in all honesty?
Its free for you and how do you think you are going to profit from it?
Somebody from the community has to buy it for a price from you.

Crypto community is already small and we all should stay together to fight scams like this.
If this is not scam, then the dev can answer the difficult questions and not delete the posts.

Dev tried to answer the questions, but a few people kept shouting him down screaming SCAM.

In short, there were some issues with the airdrop script for the first and second drop, some people got less coins than they should have, some got nothing. Dev paid all the differences from his part of the premine.

Additionally, multiple new bounties were announced, to be paid from Dev's part of the premine.

Additionally, an unplanned 41st airdrop was announced for everyone who stuck around for the entire 40 airdrops, to be paid from the Dev's part of the premine.

Because of all these unplanned costs, Dev decided to stake.

Which, by the way, is totally fine with me, we are still in the airdrop phase. The only thing that counts is how many coins the Dev and the community have once the airdrop is over.

I think those "ganstas" want to dump the price, to buy it on lowest price) Also they maybe want to reduce amount of airdrop applicants, in which case, amount of coins from airdrop per applicant will grow) it is black PR and nothing more... stay tuned, and choose your own way. with DeepOnion or without.
I choose 41 airdrops) and this is my way!
Community is what makes the coin a success. When the community asks questions, legitimate devs try to answer them, scammers try to hide them by deleting the posts. You guys are warned enough by various members here and now its your choice.  Cheesy

They have been deleting my posts too.

The devs hold 30% of the total supply which they are going to dump at the first chance they get.
Bitcoin members can only spend 10% of their balance. What about the devs? No such rule.

Every week they are distributing coins to x number of addresses. Out of the x addresses, the devs could create 100 addresses on their own and send it to them.
I asked for a transparency report each week and nothing .

Its SCAM written all over it guys.Be carefull

Dev laid out a very clear distribution plan, most of the coins will be distributed. 1st distribution already happened, next will be soon. I don't see what a few people has what to complain about.
In every coin where there is a good community I always saw 1 or 2 bad potatoes, trying their best to destroy the community. Ego? Jealous? Competitive coin? I don't know. But I know there are always people, wishing they can free everything, but they don't want dev get any. For them, my advise is: please leave and do your own dreams.

Why can't you even acknowledge that the dev staking the majority of the coins right now is taking the community's stakes? Is it a taboo?

Do I care if they stake or not? I care about the airdrop and the community building, as opposed to you, I don't whine and provide negative energy and try to undermine the community. If you don't like the coin, then don't waste time here.
"Why do I care"

Sounds like someone interested in the long term health of this project.

The distribution plan was to airdrop 70% of the coins to the community, and since it has such a low coin amount due to the PREMINE BEING NOT STAKED, the community would have a chance to organically and fairly distribute it as opposed to it all being staked by a few early adopters. This idea goes out the window if the developer is staking those coins to be airdropped while people are trying to stake themselves. Why? Because their Onion won't earn anything if the network is dominated by their mega wallets. This will cause the network to be weak and centralized, and yet another scam coin.
Totally agree dude. I am glad this is called out at the begining.

Clearly you are blind folded by the free coins and the prospects of selling them in future to own a lambo. Well the dev is limiting those future prospects to 0 by these greedy actions.

yes, thats the sad truth. lisk is nothing more then a delegate battle. i sent most of my coins to an exchange. because i don't think that they will deliver. Stratis overtook lisk in a few seconds.....
I am sure LISK will deliver, but it will be too late to the party Sad
