I have implemented a brand new OfferWall system that reports all points to users automatically. Once your offer completion finalizes and is credited to my account, your account with bbitco.in is automatically credited as well. This takes away the 24-hour delay that was in-place before. Once you complete the offer and it shows as valid, your account will be credited. Please note that when cashing out your points, they are all subject to manual review before we send bitcoin payments. This is in place to help prevent any fraudulent point earnings.

EDIT: To all new members, it may take an hour or two before the offerwall shows offers for you. If you sign up and check out the Offers page, if it shows that there are no offers to complete, come back in an hour or so and check it out again.

I'm currently using a VPS for that site as well as a few others. The host informed me that the website was draining resources from the entire node and caused it to crash due to some sort of attack on the website itself. They suspended nearly every single one of the domains I had hosted on the account as well as a couple of bitcoin websites, stating they look down on bitcoin websites due to the high amount of stress they can cause on VPS nodes. I call B.S. I'm still working on getting everything back up and running correctly, and can guarantee that bbitco.in will be back up and running.

Sorry folks. I'm working as much as possible with them to unsuspend the domains.

I have 5 cards from Google Adwords. They state "Get $100 when you spend $25." For anyone that uses Google Adwords, these could be quite handy. I'm offering each one for 1 BTC.

Anyone interested?

Looks like this is a bug in the importprivkey functionality in the current Bitcoin-Qt.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=134688.msg1434502#msg1434502
Thank ya! Smiley I went ahead and responded to that thread (even though it's a month old) with my experience on the "bug." Not even sure you can really call it a bug.. I dunno if that's what the developer had in mind when importing private keys, but yea, it's a strange issue for sure.

Thanks for the link!

This is a semi-old thread, but I wanted to report to you all what happened to me.

I imported a private key, and as stated in the OP, it showed up in my "Address Book", not my "Receive Coins" list. Well, what I did was shut down the Bitcoin-QT client and re-opened it. When I re-opened it, it told me the wallet was out of sync, and after it finished getting IN sync (hahaha) it showed up in my "Receive Coins" list like I expected it to from the get-go.

I haven't tested sending money to it and sending money out of it, but I'll do that later on when I have enough coins to lost in case something goes wrong.

Taking forever to get confirmations
by
rickylford
on 06/02/2013, 00:13:57 UTC
Hey everyone,

I tossed a simple 0.01 bet towards SatoshiDice and it seems like the confirmations are taking forever, both sending and receiving. Bitcoin asks me if I want to include the 0.0005 fee with the payment (and of course if I click cancel, it doesn't send the money) so it is sending 0.0105 every time. It's not like I'm NOT paying the fee and expecting the transaction to get confirmed quickly.

Does anyone else have this issue? Is there a remedy for this somehow?

Importing private keys to bitcoin-qt
by

Hey guys,

I used the Vanitygen to generate a new Wallet address for myself (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=25804.0) and I went into the main Bitcoin-QT client, clicked Help, then Debug Window, and then console and issued this command: "importprivkey keyhere".

Now, when I go into my Address Book, the key shows up there. It doesn't show up in my "Receive Coins" window, but instead the "Address Book" window. How do I get this into my "Receive Coins" window so that I can actually send/receive coins from the vanity address?

Thanks,
Ricky

WAIT! Nevermind. It shows up now after my Bitcoin-QT client updated the blocks. Smiley

Before attaching my Google account, I was able to see the games. Now that my Google account is attached, it only shows the chat on the left side, but it doesn't look like the games are showing up. I even disabled my Adblock. Any idea as to what's going on? I've been looking for a bitcoin slot machine for a LONG time now.

OK, I'll bite. If it's open source, then why not just tell us what it's about? Is it a front-end for the next generation of casino slot machines to sell to Indian casinos?

In such a rapidly developing community someone might take the idea and finish it before I have the chance to.
Surely that's a good thing? That's pretty much the spirit and purpose of open source software.

Sounds more like you want to call it open source but dual license for personal vs commercial use in order to make some money. Of course, this is fine, many projects do this, but in this case, there would be no interest in using for personal use - who's going to set up a gambling site that they run on their local machine to gamble against themselves? As soon as you allow others to gamble, it becomes commercial.
The other problem if you try to dual license is that the open source libraries that you use in building this project may no allow relicensing.
Just because he's planning to open source it after release doesn't mean he doesn't have a valid reason of not wanting to release the idea now. Open source later doesn't mean he can't make money off of it. And just because it's open source doesn't mean the only way he can make money is by licensing the software. Apparently you don't have much of a grasp of how software development works.
I don't think he meant that OP CAN'T make money off of the software, he just meant that it ruins some of the purpose of being open source to begin with.
If that's what Zeilap meant, then understand it doesn't ruin any purpose of being open source. If he wants to develop the project and release it online so that his company begins making money with it and then releases it as open source a month after his company has put the script through it's paces, then he is will within his right to do so. Just because he plans to make money with it after it's release doesn't mean he has to give his idea away right now, regardless of being open source or not.

Just because a script is open source doesn't mean you can't make money with it. Nor does it mean you HAVE to accept collaboration from the inception of the idea on building the script.
