I've recently changed my password in my Coinpot account. Did anyone noticed that you can still use your old password to login to your account? Meaning, I have two passwords, one old and the new passwords that both work which shouldn't.

Is there any update with the Bitcoin Cash deposit? I hope Coinpot will enable it sooner. Also, is there a way to send Bitcoin from Coinbase to Coinpot without having huge network fee?

Coinbase -> GDAX -> Coinpot would be my suggestion.

I can't create an account in GDAX because my country is not included. Anyways, I noticed the decrease of fee at Coinbase maybe it will get lower somehow.

Re: Difference between Bitcoin and real money?

@Targusluxe
It will be a good investment if you do your research as well. We know that not all cryptocurrency are worth investing. So, many focused on the already known crypto markets which then, they will prepare their selves for the market assessment whether when to buy or sell. I'm also skeptical at first because it's not the same as real currency or what we know as money.

We understand the difference between Bitcoin and real currency is that the currency exists or governed by a government which regulates the money while Bitcoin is virtual. Often, many skeptics think it's sort of imaginary or virtual money or even linked to scam and most likely stay away from any cryto.

Re: The advantages of bitcoin

@Potatohead
Not in the current value of Bitcoin. However, it is the best time to buy or stock up and hold Bitcoins because it is in correction. We can still expect bullish trends after this correction. So only invest if you know pretty well the Bitcoin market in its current status. I don't think Bitcoin is in need of advertisement because it is already the biggest cryptocurrency.

The advantage of Bitcoin is still the desktop wallet which you have the anonymous wallet. However, microwallets or 3rd party don't. They have either linked your email address, name and other personal details usually used for account verification in your BTC wallet address. Another advantage is that you can use it now in many services or even establishments also accept Bitcoin payments nowadays.

Re: Bitcoin as a mode of payment

@Silent26
I disagree. If you want to receive your Bitcoins fast enough then, you'll pay high fees which often I see in microwallets with at least 100k satoshis per transaction, which when you use it as a payment for freelancing or microworkers will not be a good payment option. Bitcoin is becoming not suitable for microtransactions and really difficult to get free bitcoins because of high amount of withdrawals.

I would say that Bitcoin is good for some services in a long-term, particularly in trading or investments. We don't always expect Bitcoin to keep rising even we know it's very known now. For instance, you'll be paid a sum of $20 worth of Bitcoins then, tomorrow it will be worth $5, which you urgently needed. So, it is not applicable as of this moment with this market.

Re: Can bitcoin be more profitable in the upcoming years?

@Jingjess
Just like any market, predicting Bitcoin is difficult. Currently, we are looking at Bitcoin in a bearish market. 2017 was a huge rise in both value and popularity of Bitcoin. I only see Bitcoin hindrance to be profitable is when the fees and the transactions confirmation remain high and slow.  Despite the falling Bitcoin value it is possible to be still profitable by taking advantage of the lower value to hold for future or when Bitcoin rise again.

Well, I'm pretty sure, many traders often managed to find a way to make any market profitable. Get strategies for either the rise or fall particularly Bitcoin that is a very volatile market in any crypto market we know.

Same issue, but mine was Doge. Same withdrawal date of December 30. Tried to email them until now no response. Did you lose your funds, too? I've read that they don't have good support. So, I'm pretty hopeless on how to deal with the issue and we will never know the reason for it or if this is an unknown error on Coinpot site.
I sent them 4 mails so far and nothing, still when I visit my LTC dashboard I see the cancelled withdrawal, I posted the pic and my issue on their moon LTC twitter page (probably that's why I totally erased the address without noticing) hoping that since they open these accounts to post about weekly payments, they will see my issue. They don't even have a direct messaging way on neither facebook nor twitter which is pathetic tbh T_T

I take back my word. They're not scam. Completed my December 30 canceled withdrawal today. If only I know, I should continue to claim in the faucets. Well, I have to again return to daily claiming. I'm still wondering what happened if the double spending happened in btc why other crypto in the website is affected, too?

Upon reading in Facebook posts, Reddit, other forums and from my experience, Coinpot has huge issues when regards to canceled withdrawals and support being not respondent or nonexistent. Luckily, I managed to stop claiming once I see my cancellation on doge and researching about more coinpot problematic microwallet. Pretty sure that others that still claiming will want to consider to discontinue using their service as they may have experience the same once they withdraw. Just a caution.

Edit: Got paid. Canceled withdrawal now completed.

Re: Coinpot vs Faucethub
by

on 03/01/2018, 23:52:22 UTC
My experience from both coinpot and Faucethub. Coinpot canceled and lost my funds recently and now they are offline. Faucethub is indeed slow due to their low fees, but they are surely going to be received in my preferred wallet.

Coinpot service has so much issues with the site. Yes, they have legit faucets, but scam microwallet even their support failed to do their job. While Faucethub, their support and the admin are both active, even you make a suggestion that they are willing to listen.

So, coinpot thumbs down and Faucethub thumbs up.  Smiley

Throwing accusations of 'scam' around without proper evidence helps no-one. CoinPot is definitely not a scam site and has always been extremely reliable and prompt in paying. Simple as.

There have been issues on the network - beyond CoinPot's control.
If this has been an issue then, they should have managed to make a reply on my email, but none received. Yeah, it's small, but what if that's big? It's still the same. They've not returned the funds at all. So what should I call then? I prioritize the payment issue rather than the chat or messaging issue.

It looks like it's been lowered to a fixed claim of $0.001 per claim. That's sad. No more $0.0025 doge per claim. Well, I've seen other doge faucethero that they have indeed lowered their claim rates to $0.001. So, I guess I'll be inactive on this for now.
