Re: Bitcoin is now consuming 1% of the world's electricity. Is that sustainable?
by

I don't think that's something to be afraid of firstly I highly doubt that bitcoin is now consuming 1% of the world's electricity like some other members pointed and even calculated it and it does not seem that way secondly since mining is having a bad effect on the environment several initiatives are shining   to  switch and reverse this situation. many bitcoin farms are starting to use renewable energy using solar and wind-powered mining.

Re: Is it worth buying low-volume tokens?
by
riosakamoto
on 07/10/2018, 09:15:59 UTC
I think volume is not the principle criteria to judge upon when buying alts because most of the exchange use bots so you can have a wrong idea about it if you don't look and research about the project you want to engage in. When I buy tokens, I really don't look too much in this detail instead I look at the goals and idea behind it, if it's unique and gives a new integration of cryptocurrencies and blockchain, not just a copy, also chat with the core team is very informative it helps you know if they are serious, sold and trustworthy.

Re: Government trying to stop bitcoin, what I see

As we all know, one of the basic goals behind Bitcoin is to bring a decentralization system and bring power to the community so it's very normal to see such behavior from governments all over the world, we, as a loyal and vibrant crypto community we have to ignore such act and respond with knowledge and raise the awareness about this new innovating technology because many peoples are getting tricked and affected by the FUD spreading everywhere.

Many reasons motivate us to hodl cryptocurrencies, of course for most of us the major one is making a good profit but the most important thing is the potential and Opportunities that the blockchain technology has given us and how many peoples were inspired by bitcoin that's why nowadays, we have a lot of different projects, very serious and has unique goal and roadmaps into integrating cryptocurrencies in our modern life and this is very promising.

That address is used to burn tokens. Since the blockchain is immutable, after airdrop or ICO the amount left which was not distributed or bought is sent to that address that has an unknown private key in order to be out of the circulation and not used again.

Re: Bitcoin is like cancer-pill, almost worthless
by
riosakamoto
on 09/08/2018, 14:56:35 UTC
The comparison is totally wrong, you say that cancer pills refer to altcoins, how is that? it's true that eventually, many alts will perish and disappear as the time pass because they don't have any use or any role in the cryptosphere but a lot of projects got a specific goal and status so they are not the same thus they will continue to improve, fulfill their roles with the help of their vibrant communities.

Re: Why Bitcoin is better than banknotes
by
riosakamoto
on 06/08/2018, 00:01:41 UTC
That is a strong point that adds up to the list of Bitcoin benefits, it's true that BTC has never been counterfeited but let's not forget that hypothetically it's still not immune to the 51% attack and we know that in 2014, the mining pool ghash.io briefly exceeded 50% of BTC network's computing power, afterward they voluntarily committed to reducing their share of the network. Today, from a realistic view it's very unlikely to happen again.

My first reward was from a token airdrop called Ethereum green from the fishy name you can have an idea about it XD obviously it was a quick scam but when I saw it in my wallet I was very happy with it, from that time, each day, I have been trying to learn more and more, I am very thankful for knowing this forum and my deepest respect to everyone who's contributing positively to its growth.

Re: Investors! What do you Invest in? The project or The token
by
riosakamoto
on 05/08/2018, 14:59:10 UTC
you asked a very good question many of us join projects just for the profit of selling coins/token when they hit exchange that's why we all see those massive complaints about the price dropping by peoples referred as weak hands/quick buck we all see every day those strange and silly question in telegram channels which by doing a simple click to the project website without even reading the whitepaper nor the roadmap you can find the answer but sadly, we don't want to waste our time on reading about serious and promising project in order to support and be a loyal, vibrant community around them and this need to be fixed.

first of all, everyone has the opportunity to enter this world and contribute to it without any discrimination based on whatever, the crypto world is not ruined by poor peoples where did you get this? the behavior you're talking about can be found in any kind of peoples. It is true that the forum is messed up with many scams, spam... but it is still a place full of positive, constructive, helpful, valuable and enlightening topics.

Re: Don't bite more than you can chew
by
riosakamoto
on 05/08/2018, 00:14:10 UTC
True, many peoples join different projects and try to work on them parallelly hoping to gain more profits than just working serious and on a single one but they find themselves in a bad situation as you mentioned, not being able to coordinate between them and lacking the time to finish what they are supposed to do. If someone has the potential, time and experience needed to do that and be able to provide a good quality work that's good but the majority of us can't do it so it is better to stick to one project and work hard, use our skills and put real effort in order to be worthy of the reward.

If I had 10k$ I will never invest them in one coin as you said, that will be very unintelligent, I will definitely split them into different coins/tokens, I will choose 10 projects and invest in each one of them 1k$, I will make sure to choose serious ones that are still at the beginning of their roadmap, also, there should share the criteria of being unique in their goals and views about the use and integration of cryptocurrencies in our modern life, not just a copy of other projects and should have a solid and trustworthy team.

Re: How to make cash without investing?
by
riosakamoto
on 04/08/2018, 23:47:24 UTC
You can earn cash without investing by joining bounty campaigns, it’s a way you can help in promoting projects, enlarging it’s community, sharing their goals and many other tasks this way you can be awarded for your serious and hard work but one thing to put in mind that, when choosing bounties, first do a good research to be able to make a good choice because 80% of ICO are scam, also, try to read carefully the rules before joining and understand them well thus you can do a good and worthy job.

There are many exchanges most famous and used are Binance, Bitrex, Okex, Kucoin, and Idex. Personally, I use different sites where my assets are listed. I like Bitrex more because they don’t ask for fees when listing coins and every project have the right to apply for listing.

This graphic shows the different and varied views about cryptocurrencies there is a long road to take before countries start thinking about accepting them, right now place like Africa which is mostly governed by dictators, speaking about legalizing cryptocurrencies is not even an option they are more worried about their throne.

Re: Patience is a virtue but how much patience do you have?
by

it is good to have a diversified portfolio, better to diversify instead of putting all your money into a single bag because the more serious and unique projects you're investing in the more chance you got chance to make a good profit, even if the market is volatile, the development of the projects will progress and thus it will influence the demand, as a result, the worth and value will increase.

Re: Crypto is weird
by

on 04/08/2018, 00:08:04 UTC
We need to understand that sudden abnormal pump will result in a fast correction after whales make their profit and greedy peoples start buying blindly that's why they will end up in the situation you mentioned. Sadly, many coins are getting affected this way and this can be only caused by manipulations from my humble view.
Starting with an investment need much knowledge and it's not suggested to anyone, one has to control his greed, do a lot of research and not look for a fast profit.

Re: Why so many inactive participants in bounties campaign.
by
riosakamoto
on 03/08/2018, 08:52:05 UTC
the presence of many inactive participants in bounties campaign is due to many reasons, major one is that many members join bounties without carefully reading the rules so they get disqualified from the beginning by a responsible and trustworthy manager but sometimes you find managers distributing stakes to everyone which is completely wrong because the numbers of cheaters is in this work is very high.
