Hello.
You'll need 2 wallet/daemon to make it work.
The trick is to launch a 2nd wallet or daemon, using a different -datadir= and making sure it doesn't try to listen (I won't be able to) and to connect to the other instance (using -connect):
Code:
# First instance $ ./QuickCash-qt -testnet
# 2nd instance, in another terminal if needed $ mkdir instance_2 ; ./QuickCash-qt -testnet -datadir=instance_2 -listen=0 -connect=localhost
You'll be able to mine new blocks, and the "out of sync" stuff will disappear once a new block is mined.
Thank you so much for the help I really appreciate it!

Hello all,
Trying to build my own LiteCoin fork for educational purposes.
I've made it as far as compiling the wallets in Ubuntu.
The problem I'm having is that there isn't any active connections on my network.
I'm following this tutorial
Code:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfE-SYJ7PrQ
This is the main VM This is the VM I put in server mode As you can see I added the IP as a node, still ain't getting any connections
Did you not see the part that says: "If the file does not exist, create it with owner-readable-only file permissions"?
Simply create the text file in the ~/.funcoin directory using vi or vim or whatever texteditor you use... save/name it as funcoin.conf... make sure it is all configured as you want, then "chmod" it to have the appropriate permissions.
Code:
chmod u=r ~/.funcoin/funcoin.conf
Note: to be able to modify the file, you'd need to set it as:
Code:
chmod u=rw ~/.funcoin/funcoin.conf
I must've missed that, thanks man!

I'm following this tutorial
Code:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDGxGYvkDEE
I managed to make it this far..
I get that error: To use funcoind, you must set a rpcpassword in the configuration file: /home/ubuntu/.funcoin/funcoin.conf
So I go and try to locate the funcoin.conf file but I can't locate it:
Any help would be appreciated

It looks like John McAfee had a lot of $XVG and he decided to sell them expensive. I do not argue with the fact that the project is excellent, but his tweet caused a large influx of buyers.
McAfee is a genius he knows Verge will start mooning🌙

It seems Bitcoin fork is quite easy to be born nowadays . Today we can see one fork of bitcoin which is bitcoin gold (BTG) to be born with the price 380 usd at the moment and there will be one more the fork of bitcoin happening in November, 2017 (Segwit2x ). So why do they want to make more bitcoin forks? This fact will help bitcoin flying higher and faster . It also helps bitcoin to be used more popularly in the world . I will support this thread like this but Dev should have more detailed roadmap and plans for this project in the future. Thanks.
I totally agree with this guy the Dev should be more transparent

The volume is getting scarly low.. will the project die or survive?
COSS could quite easily be 2-3 times its current value, judging by the marketcap of some of these other coins. At least it has a working platform that generates real revenue.
I invested because I expect the volume to increase in the next couple months due to the massive rise of Bitcoin.
