Thank you for clearing things up and being upfront about it.
Do you think there's a chance that Cryptopia will re-list Waves and its tokens again in the future?

Yea I mean it is what it is - there's nothing we can really do from this position.

I suppose it's possible. I know that Cryptopia does list Ether now and some ERC20 tokens even though in the past they swore off listing anything related to Ethereum.

I'm not going to try and make bold predictions about it or anything as they are their own company/entity. Perhaps once Waves releases their 1.0 update w/ Waves-NG, Smart Contracts, and Anonymity features they'll list again (because there will be fewer changes to the code base at this point). Or, if Waves gets to the point where they're losing money in fees because they don't have it listed, I would imagine they would re-list, but there's no guarantee.

Hi guys,

The delisting from Cryptopia is obviously not cool, because it was a great spot for Waves tokens to be accessed by those new to the Waves ecosystem, but there's nothing that can be done about that, unfortunately. From what I understand, Cryptopia once de-listed Ethereum for similar issues as they de-listed Waves - issues with nodes de-synchronizing from the overall network (forking). It is what it is.

Of course, if one wishes to purchase RBX so that they can tip, or sell to others so that they can tip, they can do so on Tidex Exchange or Waves Decentralized Exchange within the Waves lite client. One should not purchase RBX unless they plan to tip an individual as there should be no assumption of an increase in value.

Ripto Bux is not an investment - it is simply a token used to signify appreciation of one's contribution within the slacks that it (the tip bot) is enabled in.

RE: The individual who brought up $OCL Oceanlab - I like that team quite a lot  Smiley Sphearis and his team are committed to Waves and the Waves ecosystem. Their Gravit platform will be super cool for crawling the Waves blockchain, and they're really working on a lot.

As far as I know, they are working on a very cool tool called Proof of Stake for All, or POS4All. It basically allows any asset on Waves to be able to become Proof of Stake. I'm not quite sure how they plan on implementing it, but I think it's a great idea. I can imagine a situation where say, XMR tokenized on Waves Platform can be used as a fee, and then those fees distributed through POS. A very interesting idea indeed.

Perhaps once regulatory uncertainties are clarified, the remaining undistributed supply of RBX could be distributed through POS4All.

Anyway, as another poster above commented, RBX isn't undergoing "development" per se. It is a simple token.

Hey Guys,

Do not buy Ripto Bux $RBX unless you want to use it within the Waves integrated slack tip-bot developed by Myco. The purpose of the token is for tipping great community members for providing solid input and discussion.

It is not an investment and you should not anticipate any profits from purchasing this token.

The bot is currently integrated with Waves Slack, Cryptocopia Slack, and Incent Slack currently.

It may find it's way to more in the future.

Here's something interesting - the Oceanlab project led by Waves developer Sphearis and his partner dibatch accepts the Ripto Bux asset in their token sale.

You can visit the site here. http://ico.oceanlab.eu/

Although I'm a big fan of Sphearis and all the work he does for the Waves community, do not consider this information investment advice or my stamp of approval for the project. Do your own research when deciding to participate in token sales.

(I just think it's neat that someone is holding a token sale that allows participation with Waves based assets.) and if you got tipped on slack I guess you can put your RBX to use here.

For all intents and purposes, you can consider the Ethereum RBX token that some of you may have gotten in your MEW accounts as defunct. The accounting of BlockSwap is now irreparably off, and we will no longer be supporting Ether RBX as a result of the skewed supply.

All users who used the BlockSwap service have received the full amount of RBX that they swapped across platforms.

Circulating supply is correct and on the Waves chain in full.

Yes guys for various reasons we will not be pursuing dual blockchain functionality.

The 3rd party centralized aspect of the Incent Blockswap Etherum gateway caused way too much trouble for RBX holders.

We think that currently, RBX makes a great, low-stakes, tip token for users on slack channels where Myco's tip bot is enabled, and also a nice functional fee for Waves transactions (specifically by node-operators for stake-leasing distributions), and these are two nice use cases for RBX.

Chances are that you received some from leasing your Waves, and the node operator sent you a portion of their proceeds, including the Ripto Bux.

I received some riptobux in my waveswallet for free. I am not sure for what but I always appreciate free coin. Thank you very much

Additionally, I want to make certain that it's posted here just as it has been posted in Waves Slack, on Cryptocopia, and on the official website, Ripto Bux is not an investment and should not be treated as such. They (the Ripto Bux $RBX token) do not confer any special rights, voting rights, equity, promise of profit or appreciation, or anything of the sort. It is simply a token.

You can use them with the slack tip bot easily, that's a primary function.

Secondary function that has gotten some traction is that Waves node operators use RBX to pay low cost fees to send out their staking proceeds.

So please, always make sure that you know what you are purchasing if you are making a decision to purchase them on an exchange.

Hey,

Guys I'm here, sorry for the radio silence. I've been dealing with a lot in regards to the Blockswap fall-out, and other news related to token legalities.

Basically, I think we've come to a solution in regards to the locked-in RBX. I've worked with Rob, CEO of Incent, and they're going to be sending RBX to each address that has ever sent RBX into Blockswap to be swapped to Ethereum.

What this means is that, if you tried to test out Blockswap prior, or participate in the RBX Blockswap airdrop a while back that got all kinds of messed up, you'll get that full amount of RBX that you sent in, back.

They will be sent directly to the sender address, meaning the address you swapped with. We cannot switch addresses in the event that you no longer have access to that particular address. It would be too easy to spoof, so I'm hoping you guys have the seeds to your wallets or you still make use of them.

Anyway, I know it's been a while, but I'm extremely happy to have been able to get this done for you guys and to finally bring this to a resolution. I couldn't have imagined Incent Blockswap would end up in the circumstances that it did.

That said, you can understand how this will mess up distribution amounts on Ethereum RBX ... so I unfortunately regret to inform you guys that we'll be pivoting away from dual-chain Waves+ETH in it's entirety. Ripto Bux will remain as a solely Waves based token.

My reasoning is that, if these types of issues are possible with 3rd party trusted gateways, even if we run our own implementation, I just don't want anyone to have any RBX tokens put at risk of anything like this happening again. Even though they were distributed for free and not through an ICO, I just don't feel comfortable with that being a possibility.

We did of course actually build out the tech on the Eth side, smart contract and all... We're (jkatz and I) not sure what we're going to be doing with it. I'm not making any promises that it'll be used (I'm sure a lot of you guys saw the twitter gif we posted from the RBX account a while back.)

https://twitter.com/riptobux/status/879521696016977921 (Link to gif showing what we built on ETH.)

So, RBX will return to its previous status as the official Waves community and Waves platform tipping token. I know that's a bit underwhelming especially considering what we built, but it's what RBX was first brought into the crypto world as, and its honestly the best use case for it at this time.

Myco still works on his tip-bot, and RBX will go with it to whichever slacks the bot hooks up to, as it always has.

Additionally, there will not be any more airdrop distributions. This is, from a legal standpoint, not something that I want to keep doing, especially with recent developments in the space. I hope that you all can respect this decision.

Thanks for being with us guys.

Hey Guys,

So ... I'm just really bad at communicating on BitcoinTalk.

I'm on slack every day, Waves and Cryptocopia.

We are working hard on the white paper, development, everything.

The whole blockswap thing is a serious hold up - there's no doubt about that.

We are seriously considering building out our own implementation.

First draft of the revised white paper is now being edited professionally, Eth functionality is being worked on every day (getting pretty far in that tbh).

So, again I can't really give timelines. If you're holding RBX that's cool if not, that's cool, we're developing either way just to bring value to the token.

Thanks everyone who's been posting here - I'l try to drop by more often.

looks like good rate. what is distribution rate of Riputo Bux? at random? let's say if you have 1000waves, how much you will receive?  Smiley

I think a few people are confusing the Ripto Bux airdrop distributions that we've done in the past w/ leasing rewards distributed by full node operators.

Full node operators are able to process RBX fee blocks (that is, transactions sent using RBX as the fee the same way one would use .001 Waves as a fee) and these are then distributed to leasees. This is why a few of you have probably gotten like, .012345... RBX in the past few weeks.

The airdrop distributions have been rather arbitrary thus far. One was for WCT holders, most are for Waves holders and we decided recently to reward those who held 50 or more Waves. There was no real rhyme or reason.

That said, there is one final airdrop tentatively on the table but I haven't decided how we'll do it yet, or when we'll do it for that matter.

I'm actually considering holding off until Sphearis and Oceanlab release their Waves asset Proof of Stake mechanism. This would allow for a much more fair distribution of the remaining Ripto Bux (and would also rewards RBX holders).

Either way, we'll decide what we decide - that's the beauty of not having an ICO Smiley

PS PLEASE don't private message me and ask for an airdrop / to be sent RBX. It's becoming too much to manage.

Hey yea guys sorry it's just so much easier for me to communicate on slack than it is to communicate on BTCtalk - maybe if there was an app for it ... maybe if the project gets super big we'll make a Ripto Bux slack Cheesy

Been pretty busy working on the updated whitepaper recently - still a lot more to do. Thank you all for your continued support Smiley

Hey all,

If you have your Waves off exchange and held within the lite client you would've received a portion of the previous airdrop.

There are no exact dates on airdrops so if you missed this one you might just have to wait a bit for the final. There's no specified date.

We won't be sending anyone RBX on request - so please refrain from asking.

RE: Blockswap - I've spoken to Peter. There are big improvements incoming. Additionally, all back-logged transfers are to take place within 5 days as per this message on the blockswap website. https://blockswap.incentloyalty.com/

Hopefully they can stick to this time line.

In the future it would be best if we borrow from an open source blockswap code base and create our own implementation so that we don't have situations like this again.

Hey guys,

I reached out to coinmarketcap to update the circulating supply. It is now current at 342,100,100 circulating Ripto Bux.

Additionally, the Ripto Bux page on CMC now links to this announcement  Cool

Thanks for all your support. I'll be working on the updated whitepaper again tonight. Can't rush anything but I'm trying to get things moving so that we can reveal what we've been working on for ETH functionality.

Hey all,

I'll be revising the white paper in the coming days (maybe a week or two) to reflect our new use case and Ethereum functionality. For the time being - consider it out of date.

Also - last Thursday we distributed 100 million Ripto Bux to holders of Waves. The conditions for receiving Ripto Bux were two fold. The first 50 million were distributed to all Waves holders depending on how many Waves they were holding. The more Waves = more Ripto Bux.

The second distribution went to all active Waves holders which we classified as anyone holding 50 Waves or more. Each individual received the same amount of Ripto Bux in this bracket ... 9756 Ripto Bux.

As of now considering that BlockSwap is still being worked on - i think we're probably not going to go through with the BlockSwap distribution. It's just been causing too many people issues with their RBX taking a long time to swap, and I don't want anyone to try to swap until it's ready to go.

That said, it still makes sense to keep your RBX on Ethereum blockchain and you'll find out why in the near future.

Snapshots for WCT are taken throughout the entire month, and your distribution is based on the average amount of coins held in your wallet during that time. So from the 15th - 15th if you had all your Waves in your lite client, you'll receive a full distribution weighted to your amount of Waves.

If for example you moved all your Waves from Bittrex to the client on the 14th, and then wanted to get the airdrop on the 15th, well, for those other 29 or 30 days your balance was zero. So you won't get a distro.
