CEX.io is the best right now. You'll pay a bit of a premium, but no term, easy resale, and instant mining.
The website seems complex. Can I buy Ghash at any rate I set?I can even set 0.001 BTC per Ghash. Is that real?
It is very simple. 1) open account 2) fund the account with btc using the address they give you 3) when the funds are confirmed (about an hour) buy ghashes with your funds. The site shows buy orders and sell orders. You can buy at the current price, or enter an order to be executed at your price (if it comes down) 4) As soon as your buy order is executed, you own ghashes and they are instantly put to work mining. You will see your btc balance increase as they mine. 5) You can by almost any amount, down to fractions of ghashes.
A friend of mine is lucky enough to have a lot of money and he is asking me info on entering the mining world. He wants to mine more than buying bitcoins.
I have checked the forum and many other websites and it is my understanding that he can't buy anything and start mining right now. KNC is sold out and Cointerra has only the March batch available. Is this correct? Is it also correct that no other hardware would make sense right now? For example, he could buy a bunch of Asicminer blades but I don't think that would be profitable, even if he buys 50 of them.
Thanks a lot!

CEX.io is awesome. Yes it is expensive per GH/s, but you can buy and sell GH at will. You buy them and they are instantly put to work mining. I currently have 150 GH/s generating roughly $100 per day.

What is your hashrate and how many watts does it consume? How many LTC have you been able to amass in the last year?
To me mining rigs are all about the hashrate and the power consumption...honestly not much else matters.
So I live in canada, where during our winter months we will be around 5 degrees to -30 degrees, the garage should be around 5 degrees to negative 20 max. I am currently running USB Block Eurpters with a USB Hub and a Raspberry Pi. My question is, can i run this setup in the garage to save on cooling cost of running fan -- which means can the USB Block erupter function at -20 celcius and also the Raspberry Pi.
I am also thinking about purchasing a blade in the near future, would that be fine to run in the garage. I head about using things to prevent condensation by for instance throwing one of those drying packets in my box holding my equipment.
Also with the block erupter without a heatsink would a 0 celcius room be sufficient cooling?
Thanks for help in advance,
again sorry if this has been posted I am finding it difficult to find the information.
I think it would make more sense to use the heat for the house. The small savings from not using the fan wont be much. Not sure everything will start if you leave them out there not running and then try to start them up. If they are warm and then put outside they should be OK.
Good Luck!

Ebay cancels alot of auctions that are for bitcoin stuff. It is against their agreement I think.
