I saw this coin (TKT) on an Ad, and actually it looks interesting to me. they are on their ICo atm.
The problem is i can't find any info on the web about it.

Does anyone know more about this project??

Ok, it's been 45 minutes, still no active connections to the network, needless to say, no blockchain. Tried also with firewall offetc.

Any ideas?

Do you have a bitcoindark.conf file in your C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoindark folder?

Hi everyone, I noticed that many people seem to be having sync issues.

The problem seems to be a rogue message that has been taking up a lot of bandwidth. This was created during Teleport testing, and leaked to the network.

This has been fixed. I had the sync issues myself earlier today. I ran this version and still had them. Then, I deleted the blockchain (delete everything in C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\BitcoinDark EXCEPT wallet.dat and BitcoinDark.conf) and re-ran it.

No more sync problem, and I'm averaging 1kb/s Download and .5kb/s Upload bandwidth usage  Smiley

Azeh will update the op when he gets a chance, but for now here is the download:

https://mega.co.nz/#!ApVilbba!gO6mrhcvSdu-tOhjJ_8y39VhBzzuzSw-5ZMbbUDdVw0
SHA-256 Checksum: 35C9D728335699ADFABF27659076320DC2C360DE6FB9354D2A70863C06C2CE17

If anyone want to accurately verify the total number of blocks:

Matthew

Since I'm posting, might as well give an update.

Teleport testing is going well, James is working hard on debugging it within btcd core. I am hard at work on that most gruesome, most evil task which can befall any developer: Building on Windows  Wink

I am not quite sure what happened with the testing but my wallet was really screwed up! It was going in and out of sync since 9/8/2014 around 3:00 AM CST. It was also staking like crazy but the size of the staked blocked were extremely small compared to previous staked coins.  I thought maybe the syncing issue was just crosstalk as I have seen this before with other coins. I sent 100 BTCD to an exchange and that never showed up. I then sent 1 BTCD to a different exchange to test and see if it was me and that never showed either. I sent two more transactions each 1 BTCD to test and nothing was making it through. I was really starting to get worried. I did what you said and redownloaded the blockchain and used this BTCD Wallet release. All my transactions including staked coins since 9/8/2014 around 3:00 AM CST now show as Conflicted, about 28 total, 22 of those were mined coins from staking. However, the good news is that the coins I sent are back in my wallet from the 4 transactions that never went through to two different exchanges. I take it I am good to send coins now? No syncing issues since I download and used this version of the wallet.

I am still not able to get my wallet to sync properly. Is anyone else still having issues? I am trying to see if its just on my end. I have also sent a test transaction to both Cryptsy, I know I am a gluten for punishment, and Bittrex. Both were sent hours ago and neither should up. My wallet is stuck at 726 blocks remaining.

You guys running it as admin? I'm not having any issues.

I am using the same .conf file I have been using for a month now. I never had any issues in the past. The syncing issue just started about 8 to 10 hours ago.

I am also having issues with my wallet for about 8 hours now. It will loose sync so I will close and reopen it. It will work for a little while after reopening then fall out of sync a few minutes latter.

I am completely lost over all of these things around btcd. tokens, supernet, unity and all other stuff.
I only understood btcd, shortbtcd.  Grin

There are a looot of moving parts with a loooot of potential revenue streams. It would be great to have a Visio of how they all work together. That’s probably just the System Admin in me though.

On another note. I cannot get my BTCD out of Cryptsy for the life of me!  We keep going through the same cycle. I try to withdrawal, the BTCD withdrawal gets stuck, I put in a ticket, I wait forever with no response, I put in a second ticket asking them to cancel the withdrawal, they cancel it almost immediately. This cycle has happened 3 times now. I think now the only way to get my BTCD out is to liquidate and buy from another exchange. Please be careful using Cryptsy for BTCD! Something really weird is going on there with their BTCD wallet and it seems they have no desire to disclose what the problem is.

I am not using craptsy any more.
I hope you get your coins out soon.
First try to withdraw 1 btcd and see if it works. then withdraw some more and repeat if successful

I agree with you. I am going to start using another exchange. I have been using Cryptsy for a little over a year now and have been loyal through most all of the growing pains. however, I  have quite a few BTCD in my personal wallet and cant keep waiting on them. One thought I had was that any coin that supported decentralized exchanges in any way probably takes low priority with them because it essentially ruins their business model on a centralized exchange. Not to mention the money they get from staking BTCD.

great thanks. I've been bugging them about that and more so since Cryptsy is holding BTCD withdraws hostage.

Omg no kidding. they emailed me and just asked if i wanted to cancel my btcd withdraw cause it had been 5 days.
I am still waiting for one of my four withdraws, almost 20 days now

Does anyone know what is actually going on at Cryptsy? I have been waiting for a sizable BTCD withdrawal for over 4 days now. They keep telling me the same song and dance about wallet maintenance.

This is great! I will check it out tomorrow when it goes on sale. Good job on the IRC channel today. I was reading it live today at work and thought you did a great job with all the inquiries.

I think it is a great idea! It is not unlike having to have a minimum deposit in a savings account with a bank before they give you a loan. They will also earn interest on the BTCD just like a savings account.

I wouldn't charge too much for teleport. If the fee is high then so few people will use it that it might as well not exist. I can go for charging 1 btcd for max security setting but if the coin reaches 10 dollars or more then sending just a simple transfer would be pricey at 1 btcd per low setting teleport.

Would it be possible to charge a percent of the market cap rather than a coin amount?
anything is possible, but querying orderbooks is not good design for this
also, it is not a fee, just a requirement to have some BTCD to be able to use teleport facilities
sort of like being part of the club.

James

Ok, in that case it makes much more sense.  So essentially it gives more incentive for people to buy and hold btcd as it allows them teleport options.  I voted no, now that I understand it more clearly I vote yes.
due to misunderstandings, should we reset the poll

Sure, why not!

I also voted no. However, I took it as being a fee too. I would change that to a yes now that i know its a minimum balance and not a fee.

I know as far as other QT wallets go, as long as you have the .dat file then all associated addresses will show up. No new backups are needed.

That's how i understand it, but didn't want to spout misinformation.  Thanks rlhead!

Under what circumstances, if any, would a new wallet.dat backup be necessary?

The only reason I ever backup a new .dat file is if I create a new wallet. If someone knows of another reason why one would need to backup the same .dat file then I would also like to know. Maybe I've missed something. It would be good to get a definitive answer.

I have been mining and trading, mainly trading now days, for a little over a year. I have to say the technology behind NXT coin and the GUI is awesome. I am quite impressed. I have used other bitcoin 2.0 tech before like Mastercoin and Counter Party to buy Maidsafe and Swarm but was never really impressed with the GUI. I just now got around to installing NXT after reading more about it in this BTCD thread.

Anyway, bravo! I am looking forward to seeing firsthand how NXT and BTCD integrate.
