Thanks for an awesome airdrop. Even if LimxDev was banned, this week's 'drop arrived. That is reassuring.
Let's see what happens after airdrop ends. Anyway, it was an interesting journey so far and I would be sorry for it to end.

Thanks ones again for the weekly airdrop, I got mine successfully and wanna show gratitude, the crypto market seems to be reviving bit by bit now, hope it continues this way so that $BSD can go back to $1 and above
This airdrop is a testament of stability and dedication. Thanks, BSD Team!
2017 was an interesting year, with a very strong anti-establishment trend. 2018 is experiencing the retaliation of the "powers that be". Keeping a leveled and cool head is crucial, even for the most experienced traders and miners. Supporters are "hodl"-ing anyway Wink Let's hope that the recovery of the crypto market will bring up the attention, use and price deserved by this truly disruptive and inclusive tech. BSD and its partner coin BTX are shining examples of good practices, fine engineering and tremendous implication.

Disclaimer: I am not involved in any coin other than holding very small amounts, but I love the tech, the spirit and some (few) of the people developing it Wink

I believe that BSD is strong and it has a good dev (team) behind it. However, I have no trust in BTC anymore (as in: "it will go up in value eur/usd").

Does that mean BSD will never lose that "connection" with BTC?

If you don't have any trust in BTC, you are just shooting your own foot. Dump every crypto you have and get out. If not, you'll be damaging the crypto instead of being helpful. Without the existence of a trusted reserve currency like BTC this space won't be any different than a casino.

Given that BSD and BTX have the same core dev and he also took the core dev position for ERC... I expect interesting things in the future.
This is the time to accumulate and promote adoption and usage.

Thanks for the airdrops and for your hard work.

how to join?

If you want to join the airdrop you need to be legendary member and your account neeeds to be atleast 1 year old.

With the new activity+merit rank up requirements you won't become one very soon..

reward people who don't even need it! lol ..you don't see the problem here?  Roll Eyes  pfft
Usually, I don't feed the trolls... but I feel like I have to make an exception here:
The requirements for registering to airdrop were pretty low in the beginning, to gain visibility and users. As always, abuse happened (multiple accounts, stolen accounts, free-ride profiteers, and so on). That elicited a progression of changes that led to actual rules and requirements. All the reasons were explicitly stated at their respective times.
Considering the above, "green" newcomers can buy BSD from exchanges (the prices are very low at this time) while more "seasoned" users might work to get promoted to a suitable status, providing value to the community in the process.
Those being said, I can only add that your comments and posts (on the few threads I encountered you) are usually misleading and malicious. I'm glad I had my antibodies trained long ago for your kind Tongue

i think he would lose his current coin days doing it now.
Correct.
my estimation it can stake first coin within 1-2 months
hmm... Recently I had a few inputs of about 90-100 ORB each and I barely got 1 ORB/month for more than 6 months in a row... So I sold them while high on around 6900 satoshi Wink
YMMV

You could have a better luck by merging those 11 inputs into a single one, though it should work out either way eventually. Not much weight these days, so it's complicated to predict when they produce a stake.

Thanks for the tip!  Is there any documentation on how to do this?
Create a new address in your wallet and send all coins to it.

Hmm... 700 pages and a lot of whining, either about price or various exchanges or volume or weather...
Sell, buy, hold... same old, same old.
In the end it is the adoption and the usage of the coin that would drive the price. The airdrop addressed the adoption. The rest is with the users themselves.
Cryptobridge is a very nice option for an exchange, and I bet many will follow after the airdrop ends.
Keep calm and be civil. And keep trading Wink

Just to brighten the mood here about cryptopia: I had a small trade there buying a few BTX then immediately withdrawing them. It went smooth under 1 hour.

I will just leave this here: https://www.crypto-bridge.org/
A decentralized exchange that is open-source.
I know that it is not the only one, but it looked nice (I will have to test it someday though in order to make any other considerations about speed and reliability).

What happened with airdrop by distribution? Why I ceased to receive bitsend? And why the last 2 distributions were with break in 5, instead of in 7 days?

Me too, I still have not received airdrop. I think it will happen, don't worry!

Sometimes the airdrop arrives early, sometimes it's a little later....  Wink
If you haven't been active on this thread for about 6 weeks you have been removed from list... I think this is the most likely explanation.

My Bitcore wallet is not loading up. There are no active connections to the network. How do I fix this? Does anyone know?

I have 8 active connections, you can use them for sure:
31.27.146.19:8555
164.132.164.49:8555
185.194.142.126:8555
173.212.224.53:8555
37.120.190.76:8555
162.212.156.110:8555
93.186.200.182:8555
188.68.39.231:8555

How would I go about adding these nodes? Do I have to create a new .conf file and then add these in there and save them in my Roaming file?
Help -> Debug window -> click on "Console" tab" -> write in the text box:
addnode 31.27.146.19:8555 add
addnode 164.132.164.49:8555 add
addnode 185.194.142.126:8555 add
addnode 173.212.224.53:8555 add
addnode 37.120.190.76:8555 add
addnode 162.212.156.110:8555 add
addnode 93.186.200.182:8555 add
addnode 188.68.39.231:8555 add

(press "Enter" after each line)
You might want to replace "add" with "onetry" in case you don't want to trust some (or all) nodes to be available long-term Wink

For all those that can't connect even after trying to add nodes: check your firewalls and network connections. Traceroute to some well-known host (like 8.8.8.8 ) and mtr (or WinMTR for redmondians) might shed some light on your concerns. Apply those tools to the nodes too.

Can you all see bitcore is not just the perfect coin but also the perfect safe heaven in this terrible time? going to 300k sat when there's so much blood on cryptostreets is amazing.

copyright infringement is real ~ using the bitcoin logo is not ok :\ meh

Hey dummy, quit trying to spread FUD about this coin, you trying to buy in low again?

The Bitcoin "B" is a Unicode character and part of the Public Domain...

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Promotional_graphics

I don't buy into scams this is a Bitsend rebrand with a fake bitcoin logo ~ fuck off btxconnect.

Let's see you argue this to a patient/copyright judge = game over.
"B" =>>>Ya for promoting BITCOIN this is NOT allowed for other shitcoins like BTX, BCH ... you got the memo don't be stupid.
Please just tell me who owns the copyrights or trademark? Just that simple question..

here you go n00b ===> https://www.copyright.gov/title37/
Thank you  very much for the link, but I can't find an entry for bitcoin.

purposefully misleading people with a fake version of bitcoin is just like beecash lol :-D #fale

Well, usually I'm just reading and don't write anything here on the forum. The reason why is that I really would like to understand and mostly it helps if I just keep reading. But right now I don't understand your FUD so I have read some of your older statements and the more I read - the less I get it! Nobody forces you to buy Bitcore, you can also just stay away. Therefore I need to ask you a serious question: what the hell is wrong with you?
- is it really as some wrote and you're pissed cause you have not bought BTX a few weeks before?
- is this maybe cause you have too much free time and you're bored?
- do you have a mental disorder?
- or just a tiny penis?

Please, don't get me wrong. I don't try to make a joke or something, I'm really wondering what is your motivation to post such a bullshit?
I think gembitz is a bit jealous... or has a crush on LimxDev Cheesy He posts here and in Bitsend thread with an obstinacy worth mentioning in DSM-5 Cheesy

Any of you people in here mining bitsend?
Im so slow lol, i have my gtx1080ti since 4 months but never thought of mining with it, and now when profits are dropping hard i start mining, logic lol
Is it profitable mining bitsend with gtx1080ti? i mean in the long run it will be for sure ofcourse since bitsend is way undervalued, but i mean with current price, is it profitable? i pay expensive electric, 25cents/kwh lol
Wow! $0.25/KWh is extremely expensive... unless you live in a very cold place and could benefit from the heating a rig might provide Cheesy

unbelievable ...
Matthias

.
Hmm... Even if I wasn't after their "free btc", the prospect of a new exchange for Europecoin got my attention, so I registered...
Surprise: NO ERC/BTC market! (oh, well, no QBIC/BTC either Cheesy )
At this moment, I can think of only 2 positive reasons (among countless negative ones):
1. the marketing/salesperson got overexcited and didn't check with the technical part of the team about implementation;
2. the marketing/salesperson tries to convince the dev(s) and sysadmin(s) to integrate the most "responsive" coins...
Either way... this is bad for their reputation right from the start. To err is human, but to persist is idiotic.

How do I get the Linux wallet to work on Ubuntu?

https://github.com/LIMXTEC/BitCore/releases

I tried both 4.1Linux-0-14-1-6.tar.gz and 4.2.Prerelease.Linux_0.15.0.1.tar.gz , extracted the files but but when I try to run bitcore-qt or bitcore-cli, nothing happens..

Anyone?
Try https://github.com/LIMXTEC/BitCore/releases/download/0.14.1.6/5.Xenial-0-14-1-6.tar.gz
When describing a problem it often helps to give more details.

I have problems to connect my BSD wallet with the network. I am five days back and I let my wallet opened for six hours and contantly two active connections but I did not get it synchronized. Any advice what is wrong? It is not because of a firewall since I do not use one on my Mac and Bitsend worked earlier.
First: backup your wallet: "File -> Backup Wallet..." Smiley Store that file safely in at least 2 locations...
Second: Close Bitsend client app (I assume you're using the Bitsend QT client version 0.14.0.4)
Third: Go to ~/Library/Application Support/Bitsend/ (that's where your wallet.dat file is stored) and find a file named "peers.dat". Rename it to "peers.old" and restart the client.

If you're comfortable with compiling your own wallet, better download the latest source at https://github.com/LIMXTEC/BitSend/archive/v0.14.0.5.tar.gz , extract it and compile (see doc/build.osx file in the source)Smiley

Good luck.
