Hey, I am a buyer for a product being sold on Rocketr. I did not know there was a thread here to ask. I was wondering what exchange rate you have been using for selling products priced in USD but sold in Bitcoin. I had been trying to buy a product costing $4, but at current bitcoin exchange prices the amount of bitcoin that Rocketr was requesting from me was worth about a dollar and a half more than the price of the product itself. Is the exchange rate outdated or are there fees that we are not able to see as buyers? During checkout, there is never any mention of any fees, which is why I ask about this.
We currently use blockchain.info's API for fiat -> BTC price conversion
I see that, but my question remains unanswered. As I keep trying to buy a product which I ended up having to buy directly from a seller in the end, I kept getting charged much more than the bitcoin equivalent of the dollar value shown on the website. A $5 item was going to cost me around $7 in bitcoin at blockchain.info's exchange rate. There was also no mention of any fees at the time of checkout. I can PM you with the complete details if you would like to check it out and see what's happening.
Yes, please PM me the order details including the order number.
Some time between when I originally posted that and now the problem got fixed. For the record, the product which I attempted to buy was https://rocketr.net/buy/0ef2a453ae12. I ended up buying it by dealing directly with the owner of the listing because of that bug, but it seems to be fine now, amounting to around $5.15 in Bitcoin which in my opinion is within margin of error. It might have been caused by the fluctuating value of bitcoin, but even so I tried multiple times and the price kept being equivalent to between $6-$7 every time I tried. If it happens again, I will let you know.
Okay great. Sorry about the inconvenience and yes please do drop me a message if you notice it again.
That's a great service you providing op, sometime in the past I was looking for such services or platform but couldn't find one I'm glad that I found one and now I can sell digital goods on your website. If possible then please try to launch a mobile app or mobile version of your website so that people can access it anytime from anywhere.
We've definitely got mobile apps on the roadmap -- we're in the middle of a little bit of an overhaul that'll make it easier for us to build these, so after that you can definitely expect some apps.

First impression ; it is a good site which very useful and profitable for everyone who want to sell and buy digital goods. I would like to sign up and give it a try, whether I may find something interesting or decide to sell digital goods. And, how about the shipment managing? Do customers have to ship the goods by their own or is there something as a good offers?
digital products are delivered automatically by us upon payment. you can choose to handle delivery yourself, however.

hi i want to buy a product from a seller but i want to know if there is any guarantees that i will receive my product after i pay using bitcoins.
We have no way at this time of guaranteeing that you'll get what you expect, but we automatically deliver whatever the seller has uploaded or otherwise told us to deliver.

Anyone who has been using this, except for accepting different payment methods, how would you compare this to other Digital goods websites like bitify ?
Unfortunately we're still pretty new so it's likely that people checking out this thread haven't tried both. But if you do end up giving us a shot, we'd love to see a comparison from you and hear any feedback you have to offer.
As a seller, it might be better to charge a percentage of the product rather than charging a total fees, because otherwise sellers will end up paying a lot more than any other site.
I'm not sure exactly what you mean. We charge a percentage of what the seller receives for his product.

FYI: Buyers no longer need javascript to purchase from Rocketr stores, making us fairly TOR/Noscript compatible for those of you that have buyers with privacy concerns.

You should start a signature campaign. It allows for more exposure because just to get to this thread I had a hard time to find it again.
It's certainly something we're considering -- just wondering as to how well it would actually do and if it'd be worth the investment. A lot of other sites can profit from most users -- we really only profit from users with something to sell.

i'm registered in your website is cute, but i dont understand IPN paypal.. i dont understand how works
btc service is easy and sweet for digital goods
For us to receive notifications from PayPal when someone purchases an order, you may need to set up your PayPal account to handle IPN properly. For most users, this doesn't seem to be the case. If you've explicitly disabled your IPN in your PayPal account, you'll just need to reenable it.
