Re: Is it still gambling if you're sure you're going to win?
by
robelneo
on 25/07/2025, 23:54:26 UTC
There are event you can predict on that even though it's not 💯 guaranteed that you're going to win,  a level of certainty makes you think that you're surely going to win.

The downside of that feeling is that you might become over confident to use a big amount in the game since you're to a large extent certain that you're going to win.

Can we still say we are gambling if the event is something we are at least 90% sure that we are going to win?

When you predict something and put money into it, it's gambling. I don't know any other name or definition of what you're describing, even if you are 90% that you are going to win, there are events where bettors are betting on manipulated games, and they are sure to get a 100% result in their favour, and it's still considered gambling.
So even if you are 100% sure of winning, as long as the element of predicting and putting money in the hope of growing it, it's still gambling.
I think all references will define it that way.

I appreciate any advice from members or anyone with experience or useful information to help me get my money back.

Like Yobit, this is a scam wallet that refuses to die. We have numerous topics about Freewallet scamming their users; some go so far as to report this to the authorities, yet another topic arises.

I hate to say this, but you have zero chance of getting it. All I can say is to gather all your hard evidence, contact those who have been scammed, form a group to strengthen your case, present your case, and bring it to the attention of higher authorities.

Re: Is it wrong to take a temporary break from gambling?
by
robelneo
on 25/07/2025, 23:07:44 UTC
... So I am wondering if I should try my luck again after a win, or should I still take a break?

This may seem like a simple question, but strangely enough it always bothers my mind every time or rather every day. So I hope to receive opinions or even suggestions from you, especially from people who have experienced the same thing before.
I don't see why you shouldn't continue. If you want to take a break, you are free to do so, as long as you only play with money that you can afford to lose.

Generally, people who take a break are those who lose a significant amount of money that they should not have lost, or they are devastated or frustrated from playing like they already won a vast amount of money, but prefer to continue to earn more and eventually end up losing all that they had won, but if you're coming from winnings. You cash it out, then it's your choice to continue or take a break to enjoy your winning.

From speculation about having it now meron nang nag lakas loob na e represent ang crypto sa pinas. Hopefully talaga alam nila ang ginagawa nila at hinding pansariling interest lamang ang kanilang hangad dito.

Kayo susuportahan nyo ba ang party list group nato na mag represent satin crypto users sa congress?

Ano opinyon nyo dito?
Meron ako topic tungkl sa pagkakaroon ng sariling party list ng local cryptocurency mag oone year na rin yung topic na ito simula nung gawin ko

Cryptocurrency Party List Sa Kongreso Ano Sa Tingin Ninyo

Re: Body positivity / Fat acceptance

Good morning to everyone here on the politics &  society section of the forum.
I wondered how many of you have heard or read about both body positivity and fat acceptance movements on the internet and outside of it.

We are in a new age where we fight for our right to have a space in this society, if they want to justify being fat and they are comfortable with their body, and there’s no harm to society, then let these movements be.

There are numerous movements in our diverse society, one of which is the LGBTQ community. Therefore, having a Fat acceptance movement is not something new, and similar movements will likely emerge. They want empowerment, and they want acceptance from a judgmental society

It's with mr.magkaisa all the time when he's got those wins but yes it's sure that it won't be at all times for all of us. I wish all the best of luck with all of the games you play, whether it's with original games, poker, sports betting, etc. from 1win. Smiley

He has a lucky touch with gambling. When you’re winning this kind of amount, you will be tempted to continue and win a higher amount, so brother, strike it when the iron is hot, but only play with money that you can afford to lose, because even if you have a lucky touch, it sometimes will not work. Still, I hope you continue to win, as your winnings prove that 1WIN is a great place to win and could be your lucky casino to play.

Re: The "Lottery Ticket" Mentality
by
robelneo
on 24/07/2025, 18:18:47 UTC
That’s a mark of a true gambler. If you have this, it’s risky, but it’s worth it if you hit the jackpot. Many gamblers do this in boxing matches by betting on the underdogs, hoping for unexpected outcomes.
I used to do this when I had the means and the heart, but if you cannot keep up, you’ll settle for what will likely come out.
The lottery ticket mentality is not for everyone, and it’s hard to maintain for an extended period because you cannot guarantee a win.

Re: Most Gambling Countries
by
robelneo
on 23/07/2025, 23:50:25 UTC

And talking about the Philippines and SEA in general, here is the data that I found,

https://seasia.co/infographic/20-biggest-gambling-countries-in-asia-2024

I was surprised to see that they have a lot of casinos? More than the Macau itself? So no wonder there are a lot of problems right now in the country as the proliferation of land base casinos and offline casinos are rampant.

We also have a topic a similar topic before, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5543933.0

Due to this statistic and fact, Philippine lawmakers are recommending a total ban on casinos, including both online and offline casinos.
The Philippines’ government insurance branch happens to be one of the top investors in a gambling company, so it’s no wonder that gambling proliferated.
When the government is involved and doesn’t care, there’s nothing that can stop gambling from proliferating. We can see bus drivers playing scatter while driving, and people resorting to stealing to sustain their addiction to gambling.

Re: When gambling what do you measure? Luck or chances?
by
robelneo
on 23/07/2025, 18:57:13 UTC

What's usually your pick as a gambler since sometimes some persons are luckier than others?
Usually my chances, when I bet on sports, I can rely on my analysis. Although I cannot guarantee my win, I can at least summarize my chances, something that I cannot do with luck-based games. Luck-based games cannot be analyzed; even if you analyze them, you will still depend on luck to get your win.

Re: Do you think we’ll ever get a break from all these meme coins?
by
robelneo
on 23/07/2025, 18:28:29 UTC
Investors’ greed has no break as long as there is demand in the market; the memes will continue to get hype. What makes memes in demand is that there is a market, promoters, and exchanges willing to support them; they don’t care about usability.

As long as there is an attractive narrative, promoters will hype it, whales will support it, and investors will sustain it. Memes are risky investments, but we have more types of investors who are willing to take the risks.

Re: What is the cost of your mistakes?
by
robelneo
on 23/07/2025, 17:38:06 UTC
Were these mistakes simply painful, dramatic or catastrophic?

If you’re playing with money that you can’t afford to lose, then the mistake will be very costly, potentially dramatic, or even catastrophic.
We are all prone to mistakes because this is a game of chance; there’s no guarantee that what you want to happen will happen. The most important thing is that you are accepting your mistakes.
You learned from your mistake and only play with money that you can afford to lose, so even if you made a mistake, you can take it easily and move forward.

Re: Why some countries gamble more than the others?
by
robelneo
on 22/07/2025, 18:23:04 UTC
Culture and government support are significant factors in this regard. If the government supports the gambling industry, the industry will thrive, and it will create jobs, and merchants will encourage people to gamble.

Culture is something you cannot erase; it is passed down from one generation to another, much like horse racing and offline cockfighting. These are decades-old gambling forms, and since it’s part of the tradition, it will justify gambling.

you can order the service and check, dear critic of the bitcoin talk forum

If you post in the service section and there are valid questions, you don’t call them critics. Every question that you answer should prove that you’re service is good and valid.
And we should not be the ones proving your service is good; you should be the one.
I don’t need to spend $200 to prove your service is good. Tongue
in that case, critics need to provide evidence and not write fictitious guesses, right?

Do you think this kind of argument creates conversion? Cannot even defend your service or product, or how it works, and how legit it is, since this is the best that you can come up with. I rest my case.

Re: How can you enjoy the game when you are losing?
by
robelneo
on 21/07/2025, 18:10:26 UTC
You have to expect this, whether you like it or not. This is a casino, not an investment platform, where you can expect money when you get out. Losing is not fun, but we cannot force the situation.
We are willing to take a risk to enjoy the moment.
It’s a positive approach to just letting things be, and you won’t depress yourself if you think that you can only enjoy if you’re winning.

Re: How quickly do you forget a loss
by
robelneo
on 20/07/2025, 23:56:22 UTC
So how fast do you forget a loss and what can help you in forgetting about it.
I only play with money that I can afford to lose, so it’s easy for me to forget it. I can forget it within hours, so I can feel better the next day, if ever I intend to gamble.
There are acceptable losses and hard losses. Hard losses are something we should avoid because they can deplete our finances and energy; this is the kind of loss that we need to steer clear of.

Re: Usyk - Dubois Rematch July 19 Undisputed Heavyweight, Wembley, London
by
robelneo
on 20/07/2025, 22:42:32 UTC
I expected Uysk to win via UD, where Usyk will dominate by outboxing Dubois since he is a very technical boxer, but damn, the guy went up and beyond and got a knockout. This fight just cemented that Usyk beats Dubois without any doubt.
He had already tasted Dubois' power and weakness in his defense, so it became easy for him to seize the opportunity. Dubois wants to corner him so he can impose his will just like he did against Joshua. Usyk is fully aware of this, so he counterpunches to prevent Dubois from cornering him. One of the punches landed, hurting Dubois. Once Usyk hurts his opponent, he knows how to finish him off.

Quote
I saw a thread weeks ago about the possible match-up between Fury and Usyk. I wouldn't be surprised if Usyk ended up winning against Fury and leaving Fury with 3 losses in a row from the same boxer(which would be rough mentally if you ask me).
Fury should take a fight first and prove to everybody that he still has it before facing Usyk; it’s hard to sell a fight when he has suffered two consecutive losses from the same opponent.
