Good luck,

Their objective is to reach the market cap at 10 M $ (right at the beginning) and right now is at +6 M $.

Based on their recently news (Microsoft integrating Stratis Platform Into Azure BaaS Program) I'm sure they reevaluated their objectives.

It might be a dump, but only for those who want to buy even more STRAT because the price will rise sooner or later.

Awesome thing you did Claymore!

Thank you for the miner you provide...I bet the ZEC difficulty increased mostly because of Clamore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v2.0, 2.1, 3.0, 3.1

Good luck

Re: What's the most profitable coin to mine today with an Antminer S1/S3?

Mining Bitcoin with Antminer S1/S3 is like trying to run Mafia III on a Celeron from 2010 with Integrated Graphics. The game maybe will start, but you'll not be able to play...

Try to mine ZEC - https://github.com/etherchain-org/nheqminer/releases/tag/0.3a

You'll not have a significant income, but still...you can earn some coins.

Re: Genoil's ZEC miner: AMD ZCash miner for Windows - 0.4.2
by

Genoil

Awesome work! Its mining well....yes a bit unstable but best out there IMO.

Quick question. What is the setting to have this miner auto restart every 30 mins. I have a few cards acting up and need a auto restart. :p

Your best bet is to run it in a loop:

:loop
genoil.exe ...
timeout -t 5
goto loop

so it starts over and over again and have another bat running which kills the miner periodically:

:loop
timeout -t 300
taskkill -t -f /im genoil.exe
goto loop

Tried it on nvidia out of curiosity but it didn't work (Mining thread quit zec-sa#2clEnqueueNDRangeKernel(-4)).

Not surprising just thought I'd give it a try. Interestingly it also didn't seem to recognize the intensity argument (error: unrecognised option '-i').

Best advice! Thanks, I've did a loop to all my rigs. For now is a very good solution to keep the gpu's up.

However, the hashrate is not affected (zcash.flypool.org) if is restarting on every 20-30 minutes?

I suggest selling the coins as fast as you mine them.

What coins? Zcash mining is not released yet...only on testnet but they have no value after is launched.

Re: Be Smart, When Investing Your Bitcoins In Various Sites
by
robertkedves
on 26/10/2016, 11:43:45 UTC
Indeed.

Unfortunately the the scam sites are making a bad reputation for the real sites/companies that are investing your BTC properly.

However, you need the check the website you've decided to invest. Check out facts as: team, development programs, company information, press, transparency, etc.

Good luck,

Definitely AMD. But if you plan mining with 1 gpu...probably is not profitable, unless you are not paying for electricity.

You should try a test before leaving your gpu/gpus to mine.

whattomine.com => introduce the hashrate you have on your card and the algorithm from the coin you want to mine (eth = ethash, xmr = cryptonight)

Re: ETC to $100, when?
by
robertkedves
on 17/10/2016, 13:08:50 UTC
Not ETH but ETC will see $100.
question is when?

the answer is simple even without reading what coin you are talking about: Never

no altcoin has yet been created that can go up in price that high because they simply offer nothing interesting to the real world to attract any real investors apart from pump and dumpers and pump and dumpers prefer low prices not high ones because increasing price from 1000 to 2000 satoshi is a lot easier than increasing 0.01 to 0.02

with that said, i am expecting a rise in ETC, not completely sure about this but since ETH has been failing with the new fork and the possible new leftover chain and a new coin, there can be some room for ETC to grow especially since the price has gone down so much.

Very good explanation. ETC will not hit 100$ very soon (most likely never).

In fact, we might have a surprise if BTC value will increase significantly (+1000$), but not on ETC.

Re: Alt coins worth buying
by

Buying altcoins is even the best thing that ever came up to me because its profitable with a taste of risk but that is also what I like about it.
I really love trading and I think its worth investing in some altcoins!

it  sure fun investing to the ICOs as well. i get to invest just $25 for an ICO and take profit 3x due to the bonuses i got.
seem like a good way to earn few bucks really. the worst part though its that if the altcoin gets to have better price later.
REALLY, investing in the reliable coin will giving a multiple profit for use, and i be an addict caused by that....  Grin the important think you need to be a patient for waiting about the pumping will coming after the dumping period are gone...

There are too many altcoins out there. You have to be very selective. In order to do so, you have to do a lot of research.

On what is based your research to a particular coin? What do you follow?

Re: Where should I look how to build a starter altcoin mining rig?
by
robertkedves
on 11/10/2016, 12:13:42 UTC
Hey guys,
I'm very dedicated to get into the altcoins business and wish to study this field.
I'm familiar with BTC/altcoins in general, but not with mining rigs for altcoins.
Where can I start learning about how to make my own altcoin mining rig?
For now minimal budget of course.

Hi Gh0sted,

If you are serious about a mining rig you should do a research on bitcointalk.org and all the coin forums that you want to mine.

I'll write below how can you start mining and what hardware you need.

1. Choose your hardware - here is a good example
Motherboard: AsRock H81 Pro BTC - 70-100$
Risers: 6x PCI 1x to 16X (USB powered are better) - 10-50$
GPU: 6x 480x/380x - depending on your budget - 800-1400$
SSD: you can try with a flash stick (16-32GB) - Windows on it - 20$
RAM: 8, 16GB - 20$
CPU: Celeron - 50-100$
PSU: 1500W or 1x1000W + 1x750W - 150-300$

Once you own the hardware, all you have to do is look up for the coin you want to mine.

2. Install a software specially designed to mine (Claymore, etc)

3. Choose a pool (for pool mining) or solo mining

4. Start cmd.exe (windows) introduce the commands and voila!

5. Enjoy and always adjust your miner, verify the temperature of GPU (the cooler they are, more power you get)

Re: If bitcoin price is $10.000, will fiat be worthless?
by
robertkedves
on 11/10/2016, 12:01:32 UTC
In one of the topics I read "If bitcoin will reach $10.000, fiat currency has become worthless"
Do you agree with this statement?

Not at all. Even if BTC will be $100.000 fiat will have value.

The reason why fiat, btc, eth, xmr, etc has any value is because us (users) are trusting it and using it.

Why is valuable a $20 bill?

There’s nothing inherently valuable about a $20 bill. The bill has a value because we’ve all decided it should.

Money is about the exchanges and the transactions that we have with each other. Money it’s about a collective story that we tell each other about value.

Re: Stratis(STRAT) price speculation
by

It might be the next top 10 coins next year. But for this affirmation you have to consider what will happen with other altcoins. For example zcash might be a huge hit.

Also I've invested in STRAT (not on ICO), but I've bought it with a very good price 3000 satoshis.

Hopefully your speculation will be heard Smiley
