Re: New command-line tool for overclocking ATI cards (Linux)

Hi,

When I use Atitweak -l it only lists performancelevel 0 and 1. There is no Performance level 2?

While mining I can use atitweak to change Engine and Memory but have to use Performance level 1 for anything to happen. The same with changing Voltage but the voltage actually never change.

In cgminer it also works to change the Engine clock and the Memory clock and it also says that "Driver reports success..." but the Voltage never changes.

It is the same experience with both the cards
MIS 7970 Lightening & Sapphire Dual-X OC

Any idea what I can do to change the voltage?

Best Regards
Robert

Re: BTCMiner - Open Source Bitcoin Miner for ZTEX FPGA Boards, 215 MH/s on LX150

Eventually I solved it with some help from BR0KK.

Here is how I did it...
1. Click on the start menu and type RUN and hit enter. You will see the RUN window, type hdwwiz in the Open field and click OK button.
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/704649/ztex%20driver6.png

2. It will open "Add Hardware Wizard" as shown in the screenshot below. Click "Next" button to proceed to next step.

3. Choose "Install the hardware that I manually select form a list (Advanced)" and click "Next" button.

4. Choose "Show All Devices" and hit the "Next" button.

5. Click "Have Disk" button and browse to ztex-120412\ztex\libusb-win32\ztex.inf at the downloaded SDK folder.

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/704649/ztex%20driver4.png

6. Select the "Ztex module" and click "Next" button.

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/704649/ztex%20driver5.png

7. Click "Next" to skip final window before the installation will begin.

8. Click on the "Finish" button to close the wizard.

9. I then had to power off the Ztex module.

10. When it come up again it was recogniced as a Zetex module and it was possible to run the "java -cp ZtexBTCMiner-120703.jar BTCMiner..." at the CMD promt to start mining.

there is and its easy:
DL the Ztex SDK and let windows search for the driver of that unknown device (you have to point it to the ztex directory -> i dont remeber the full path, but it had something to do with libusb ..... <- Smiley

What am I missing... ?

I try to update the driver to the Unknownd device with the driver in the SDK "ztex-120412\ztex\libusb-win32\ztex.inf"

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/704649/ztex%20driver.png

but only get a message that
"The folder doesn't contain any driver that is campatible with the device. If there is a driver in the folder, check that the driver is designed för Windows x64 based computers."

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/704649/ztex%20driver2.png

Any suggestions...?

If you have a mobile that you can use in Europe and easily can use as a WiFI accesspoint I would buy a Kontantkort (SIM card) from 3 that mostly have the best speed.
You can buy it from many petrol stations and bigger supermarkets.

If you don't have nessesary hardware just go to one of the phone shops in the town.
Phonehouse, Telia, 3

Here is e.g. the offer from 3

If you mainly will stay at one place during your visit and it's in the middle of nowhere, check with any locals before just to be sure the operator have a good cover.

Hej!

http://www.ztex.de/usb-fpga-1/usb-fpga-1.15x.e.html

och en  x6500
http://fpgamining.com/products/x6500-rev3

http://www.enterpoint.co.uk/cairnsmore/cairnsmore1.html

Ta utgangspunkt i 655,- NOK per kort for now.

Hej kliffen!
Har du någon mer leverans på gång?

Mvh Robert

Hej Martin!

Är du nöjd med Ztex köpet?
Har du även provat någon annan?
