Can anybody give some suggestions about semux coins it is right time to invest in semux coins because I was watching the semux price movements from past few months it really doing well but now I planned to invest now please give some suggestions about it here it will helpful for me.

I mean? It seems pretty static last few months, like 9 months.  What are you looking at?

I'm not sure what it would take for semux to take off, but I doubt it will get any movement without community pushing it to next level.

What's new for Semux happened lately? What is the positive news?

Semux has been listed in a new exchange. Devs are working on virtual machine and light wallets.
Facebook announced $LIBRA based on the same technology as Semux.
SEM has a very bright future Cheesy

And what exchanges we can see in near future? For more than 2 year they have not listed SEM to any decent exchange. I disappointed in this project already, as without exchanges and good marketing they will stay at the same place as they are now.

You have to consider this moment from a right view. Why should be SEMUX listed on popular platforms now, when it‘s not realised his main character? It‘s like to put completely new electric autonomous unique car generation of Bugatti for sale, without the planed feature which is important and need time to be realised. Sometimes you need to go with time to fit in the market. In this case. Be patient. In Semux we trust.

By the way, it seems like really, that Libra stolen the technology of SEMUX, that will be really an exciting moment. We wait for the code publicity. But there are few moments points to this fact. Will later write Wink

Libra did not steal anything from semux.  They are similar in that they use smart contracts, dpos, and short block time with 100 validator, in order to get high tps, but rest all diff.  Besides it’s open source license, code given freely for reuse.

One written in rust, other java.  Zuckbucks are their own thing...

inside information from 2CH thread https://2ch.hk/cc/res/416440.html...

The last time dev sold coin was in October, 100k coin.  No big movement on dev balance sheet since.  It was all sold otc.  Was sold for market listing fee.  No 300k sem movement from any dev account, so I call bs.  Blockchain is public, so you can verify.

Cross platform, not cross chain!
What are differences there?
Did you mean that it is only for cross-platform which use SEMUX platform?
The SEMUX project, in reality, has lots of things to do to expand its community, partners, and ecosystem.

It's not connecting to any other crypto.  Its means like it runs on windows and linux.  It's a light wallet, like electrum, is my understanding.

Yes, i agree it has lots to do to expand.  Not sure how they would do that though?

Based on the roadmap presented in previous thread, the cross-chain Light GUI planned to launch in the second quarter of this year.
Among all those stuffs planned in this year, that cross-chain wallet is my most expected thing from SEMUX.
The reason is the crosschain light GUI might help me to more easily to move coins around.

Cross platform, not cross chain!

We are looking forward to seeing the mainnet release of Semux Smart Contracts.. Also very curious is you will be able to achieve anywhere near 5,000 txs per block!

I don't think they will be able to get 5000 per block, as they only have 1MB blocks.  For simple contracts without a lot of data, they should fit.  they hit 15,000 transactions per block in testnet with 3-5MB blocks for transfers.

I think dev team will release new perf for VM calls, but now I think it will be a matter of size of data that slows them down, not speed of transaction?

I think you can make expensive contract call that use a lot of gas, so will be interesting to see how much gas they can get in a block.

I am totally curious about its total transaction per block, how many transactions that Semux can handle per block actually? Based on the website, Semux can handle 5000 transactions per block and some of us(you included) did not agree with that because of its block size is 1 MB. Totally understandable if we are comparing it with Bitcoin itself, so what is the truth?
3~5MB block size is good at scaling, but it is practically unusable.

They can def get 5k/block and have done so.  I just mean VM changes things.  VM transactions can take much more resources to process and propose in time.  Current mainnet can process 5k/block.  Testnet can do 15k/block+ as they removed 1mb block limit to enable higher limits

https://github.com/semuxproject/semux-core/releases/tag/v1.5.1RC2

This is mandatory for validator and delegate nodes running on TESTNET. Please upgrade ASAP.

We will be sharing instruction for testing soon so stay tuned for that.

Received airdrop. Thanks to the Semux team, your doing great work here.
Have a few SEMs delegated to Semuxpool_com2, but not received any payouts. Does anyone know what their minimum payout amount is?

semuxpool_com2 was converted to private pool months ago.

Just a reminder semuxpool_com validator has lowered fee to 10%, and currently is highest paying pool at http://pool.7u.org/ (46% higher than animal pool!)

It's currently at risk of being bumped off validator, so needs some votes.  Good time to rebalance pool votes for best payout.

Actually, according to semux.info, it's a little over 25mil
Maybe 1.2 mil is the coins not locked on voting pools but that distinction is moot since it only takes a few seconds to unvote and spend them

That includes yet-to-be distributed airdrop funds, 'foundation' coins and founder premine.

I think its more like 5.5 distributed to users

semuxpool_com and semuxpool_com2 pools are back up and running!  Fees are now down to 5% for a few weeks.  Let's get them back running.  Just 0.1SEM min payout, so all votes welcome.

sorry for any inconvenience!  Was on vaca and had power loss.  Moved payout script to better hosting.

Does anyone know the actual rate of 100_tokenpar_com pool? Out of a sudden I am receiving much smaller payouts. This happened on 01.april.2018. Has this pool raised their fee or something have changed in semux network?

it got a stupid amount of votes, so now it pays worst of all pools.

I have noticed a trend recently.

While there have not been more public pools, there have been a surge of private pools

there are not enough public pools, and as consequence, they are over voted.

So folks are starting private pools to  control number of votes for best payouts.

If you're currently voting for an over-voted public pool, might be worth joining in to a private pool to maximize payouts.

As for new version.. many bugs have been fixed, and there have not been any new bugs reported.  If you are seeing bugs, please report them (there is a bug bounty)

Important for us is the ratio  Payout / Semux   .   Delegate forging highest blocks  with lowest vote and fee may be the ideal candidate.

I agree. But this number changes daily Smiley  as soon as i would post highest ratio, people would move votes and change the ratio.  So youd have to do math at time of voting and move as appropriate.  Best strat imo is to pick 3 of the lowest voted ones and split amongst them. If they get into like top 15 validators, move to a different one

Updated again

original list courtesy of levyashin, thanks to him.
Quote

100_tokenpar_com 0% fees (min payout: 0.03?)
Tent  - Tiger  - Dragon is taking 5% (min payout: 0.5)
Pool_borderline is taking 6% (and 0.3% for the developer of the pool) (min payout: 0.3)
lvl3pool is taking 6% (min payout: 0.25)
Phash is taking 7% (0.5% for the devs) (min payout: 0.3)
Semux_pool_party are taking 8% (and 0.5% for developer of pool) (min payout: 0.3)
cn_pool is taking around 10% (min payout: 0?)
Semuxpool_com and Semuxpool_com2 are taking 15% (developer of pool) (min payout: 0.1)
Mddsemuxpool - Mddsemuxpool2 are taking 15% (01 is donating % to dev) (min payout: 0.5)
General 01-02-03-04 are taking 18% (min payout: 0.5)
animal pool are taking 25% (min payout: 0) Must sign up at https://semux.info/pool

Please note you need to take # votes into consideration.  For example, even though 100_token_par has lowest fees, it has 2x the votes of any other, so it pays lower than pools taking 25%

Does anyone know that the developers have already fixed the problem that allowed forge blocks of 30% more to those validators that were closer to the top of the list? The idea was to be on the contrary, and this bug should have been fixed, I'm just wondering if the problem is fixed or not?) I want to know that I would not be mistaken with the choice of the validator, for which I will vote)

Its in code review now.  Not live yet

I made an inspection about pools and making a post about them:

Signing up mandatory pools:

Currently, only pool asks for signing up is the Animal pool. Voters share the all pool income. https://semux.info/pool
They are taking 25% for a fee. Min payout: 0?

Anonymous pools:

General 01-02-03-04 are taking 18% (min payout: 0.5)
Semuxpool_com and Semuxpool_com2 are taking 20% (developer of pool) (min payout: 0.1)
Mddsemuxpool - Mddsemuxpool2 are taking 15% (01 is donating % to dev) (min payout: 0.5)
Semux_pool_party are taking 8% (and 0.5% for developer of pool) (min payout: 0.3)
100_tokenpar_com 0% fees (min payout: 0.03?)
Pool_borderline is taking 6% (and 0.3% for the developer of the pool) (min payout: 0.3)
lvl3pool is taking 6% (min payout: 0.25)
Tent  - Tiger  - Dragon is taking 5% (min payout: 0.5)
Phash is taking 10% (0.5% for the devs) (min payout: 0.3)
cn_pool is taking unknown fee, but it looks like around 5-10% range (min payout: 0?)

Is this coin still alive ?
No connection for syncing (syncing stop).
No exchange to buy/sell.
And the Java language is not the rule for a wallet : it'a a little suspect.
What is your trust for this project ?

Did you update your wallet after 1.0/mainnet release came out?  Your old software no longer works, so might be the problem.
