Yesterday I announced we are going to do a follow up press release. The first release was introducing BC to the world, now this release will focus on the great accomplishments of this community and the future of BC. We have to keep pumping out news about BlackCoin until BlackCoin becomes a household name. Now I know many of you are still recovering from the exciting week we just had, but we must as a community get back to business. Everyone needs to pitch in! Whether it is donating to a specific project, devoting your time and/or skill, or just offering some creative ideas and suggestions.

Starting today I want everyone to contact Mintpal and ask them to give BC its own pair. BC has the most volume on Mintpal and BC has made Mintpal a lot of money. It is time BC gets it's own pairs. Maybe BC/Doge and BC/Mint
PS: Some of you were upset at the fact I didn't explain in detail whats the big surprise and I shouldn't have mentioned it. I mentioned it yesterday because I wanted everyone to know not to sell because something big is coming, and it is not something lame as being accepted to an exchange. At lot of people who sold at 500 sat were crying this week, and the people who are selling at 35000 sat will be crying in a month after we make history.

I have been compiling a list of journalists that have actively reported on altcoins in the past several months, as well as reaching out to several personal friends I have in the media from my time studying journalism before I moved into marketing.
So far I have sent about 20 emails to various writers and editors at publications such as Bloomberg, USA Today, the Houston Chronicle, the Washington Post, the LA Times, CNN, and more. I will be sending more in the days to come. (actually as I was writing this I received a reply from a writer at Bloomberg asking for some more details on Blackcoin so so far so good!).
My whole goal of course is to continue to increase mainstream awareness about BC to help contribute to the building of a viable future for this coin. I will post any updates I receive from writers, and I might also reach out to some of you for contact information to be used as a source in future articles.

How do you get the emails of those people?
Many are publicly available through the publication's website. Quite a few are people that I know personally from my time as a photojournalist.
I just got a reply from a writer at the Financial Times (one of my cold-call emails), the very basic goal of what I am doing is to put the bug in reporters ears to think of Blackcoin when they are writing about Bitcoin. Even a mention in an article boosts public awareness. Best case scenario will be multiple positive stories from well-regarded news outlets that actually feature Blackcoin as a viable Bitcoin alternative.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but since BTER is almost always a few sat pricier than Mintpal, couldn't you buy low on Mintpal and sell higher on BTER and just do that over and over and over?

I wonder if it's going to be a solid coin.
It's nice that all the tech is a-okay and that this coin will be POS in 2 weeks, but in the mean time you have the miners dumping the sh*t out of this coin. I wonder what is left after the POW has ended. Let's hope it will regain some value, but who knows?
20% interest sounds nice, unless you bought in at 39 (like I have) and the coin stays in the lower twenties...
I have only POS crypto's, with mainly NXT and some MINT (and stakes at NEM and eXo). All for different reasons.

We are working towards a long-term development that is branded and works well for people new to cryptos who don't want to setup miners in order to get the benefits of mining.
Instead of mining, everyone holding will be minting, and they will help secure the network.

Mint coin is not simply about a mint leaf, geez! Your forgetting the whole minting process.
Please someone with an ounce of creativity design a proper logo better than a damn leaf and I will give them 150k coins myself.
The mint leaf was the direction taken because that's the direction we were given. Doesn't matter how many "ounces of creativity" you have if people disagree about the art direction.

It's so annoying how long it takes for an order on coinbase to process. I've been waiting days for more BTC to hit my account so I could buy some more Mint low. I don't want to miss this crash -_-
