But.... make sure you use a trusted escrow service such as one of the following:

https://blockchain.info/wallet/escrow
http://btcrow.com/

I have used both with much success, others may have differing opinions though... every consumer thinks differently Smiley

Re: Is Newbie Status Really That Hard?
by

I see several threads at least made every day about how to get out of newbie status and similar things because of the requirement of being online for at least 4 hours while posting at least 5 posts. I was wondering is it really that hard to get out of newbie status? I mean if you really care, spend 10 minutes and post 5 quick posts and then leave your computer on for 4 hours and refresh say every 15 minutes while staying logged in? I don't get why so many people are worried about sneaking out of newbie status.

And anyway, I can honestly say that once I came out of newbie status, while it was interesting at first and I browsed the other sub forums some, the newbie  sub forum is still the sub forum which I spend the most of my time in compared to the other sub forums.

1. Smart, witty name... props to you.
2. I am not minding this newbie status... however it will be much better when I get rid of it Wink

How hard is it to use one of the 1000 exchanges out there? I have never done it but I am fairly certain AurumXChange offers such a service, you cant get more trusted then them... they are a MtGox affiliate.

Re: anyone know if Butterfly Labs ASIC's are shipping yet?

Butterfly Labs has shipped a couple of 60GH/s miners to the guys at Wired Magazine, there is also rumor that they have shipped devices to a couple of civilians. There is an article on Wired.

The hash rate will not be effected by 60GH/s miner sales and I doubt the hash rate will rise to far with only a few hundred 1500GH/s miners being released. Just wait and see what happens, nobody can be 100% of what is going to happen as it is a world first - if their devices work as planned. I hope that the ones that get their devices first make the most as I have ordered 3 mini-rigs (stupid idea - I am currently hiding from my bank) and am on the list of a June shipment.

When I first saw Butterfly Labs I thought SCAM! However Wired Magazine has now received the miners (there is an article on it on the Wired website) that they bought and so have a couple of other civilians who were at the top of the list.

If BFL is a scam then they are doing it all wrong... generally you don't ship products to the buyers if you are scamming them. Just saying.

Dwolla only works for US residents... the two options I am aware of is to transfer the money via international wire into your personal bank account or transfer the money into an IBAN account and withdraw it from cards (ATM style).

Hope that helps Smiley
