I wouldn't mind buying bitcoins for $ 9 apiece right now. But I think that in a few years there will be writing on the forum - there were times when bitcoin could be bought for only $ 8000 USD  Smiley

Try to carefully read and study the news on specialized sites on the subject. For the first time, you can use online translators for better understanding. It is also very important to feel the language, youtube videos on cryptocurrency topics perfectly help in this.

I prefer hardware wallet from Ledger.  I use Ledger Blue (you can hold there 10 currencies), but it is more expensive then well-known Ledger Nano. I use Ledger for long-term holding, for short-term I use myetherwallet.

More and more banks try to earn on fees. Even with cryptocurrencies they can make their profit on the exchange services - from fiat to crypto. So , banks will not disappear!

I do not think that FUD is over. Technically if we break 7200 level, we can drop even to 3000.And fundamentally, I suppose whales are interested in buying on cheaper prices...

I often hear things like: "you just got lucky and that's not fair" If you want to become reach just follow the proverb - "He'll be lucky, who works hard".

I prefer to combine both short investment and long investment. For example, for short investment I use different ICO tokens and for long investment - only reliable top 10 coins.

Bitcoin and other cryptos are not "severely banned " in Russia. Only payments with BTC are prohibited. And Russian crypto legislation (including mining) will be provided to the 1st July 2018. If you have any questions - please ask)

I know one thing very well - inflation in fiat currencies is enormous! Even in strongest economies like US, EU and Japan there are certain figures of inflation. And bitcoin inflation is very small actually.

I am sure that volatility is a perfect thing for crypto market. All great fortunes were made only on 2 things: either volatility or holding the financial asset.

The fact is that ALTs rise faster than bitcoin when market is bullish and fall faster when the market is bearish. For good balanced portfolio you shoul also buy etherium and bitcoin.

I will wait for some G20 decisions concerning BTC and crypto currencies in general. If market rise I buy at 9-10k. If market fall I buy at 5K. Quite simple, is not it?

Re: The future of Bitcoin
by
rokas

I have found an interesting article in Forbes magazine - "Where Will Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple And Other Cryptocurrencies Be Twenty Years From Now"?
So. here are some quotes from it.

Acceptance. Until and unless Buyers keep pressing / asking Merchant to accept Bitcoins, merchants will be oblivious to the demand. If you walk into a store and ask if they accept Bitcoins and they answer No, this is the expected answer. Repeat this scenario with 10 other Buyers asking the same and the Merchant will think differently. They just might start looking at Bitcoin acceptance.

Volatility will minimize. I won't say it will disappear, the public at large is too sensitive to everything the media spews out relating to Bitcoins.

Bitcoin exchanges in the West (perhaps US, or UK) will prosper and take over in volume (provided international clients are allowed to hop in and trade).
