Not sure if this news is really true, I read some articles and there are really no ban, just some regulations not sure though.

@OP a 1K dip is almost impossible and will not happen anytime soon. That's too far enough for BTC's fall.

Re: Is opening a bitointalk account isn't free now?

I wanted to create an account but i couldn't make posts and it said that enable posting by sending a little fund. which was 4$ with fee. So, bitcointalk account is not free now?

Thanks you everyone.

Did you make the payment?
You have made a post, so if you didn't pay,  that answers the question.

Isn't he be a copper member for paying the amount needed for him to post? I had seen members with "cooper member" badge and as of my understanding they have to pay to get that kind of badge.

If we consider the movement of BTC for the past few week it has been stabling in 10-12K. Everyone was telling its a bearish market right now, but it didn't lower to that margin. If your asking when it will pump back, no one can answer technical analysis of some traders says it will make a bull in next few months but those are just speculation. Nothing is sure.

If our country has those modern technology that can support bitcoin transactions, why wouldnt i use it ?. It is such that bitcoin transactions does not applicable to my country now. The only function of that now is just for investment. Paying someone through his bitcoin address can also be. I hope we can have those modern technology to use bitcoin properly.

It won't take long for the merchants to accept the cryptocurrency as payment. The acceptance of the public is the hindrance why mass adoption is not getting anywhere.

Re: If the BTC crash, will it take every other coin with it?

Actually the crypto market does not only involve BTC-USD and BTC-ALTS, trading platforms also included other currency. There's even a cryptocurrency called "Tether" which is meant to safe keep your money when the market is down so this does not really mean they are "withdrawing their funds" rather safekeeping it.

I wonder why you have not recommended Ethereum as his choice. ETH, NEO, BCH these are good long term investments to have. These coins have a good future.

Hi,

I'm pretty new to crypto but it's been all over the news lately so I thought I would dip a toe into the water. I joined up to meet others who might be a bit more in the know than me. Im worried I may have jumped in on a downswing but my friends tell me thats only temporary in the world of crypto. I was thinking I might try ICO's but not sure where to look or even where to start! Is this in your opinion a good place to start? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Reminder: ICO projects are way riskier than just buying and holding coins. First things first, welcome to Cryptoworld you need to study how crypto works to at least give you a hint how to make profit. ICO investment are sometimes profitable and is sometimes just a scam. It will depend on your ability to research the legitimacy of an ICO and its potentials.

Re: Do we Need Altcoin?

All the fork of bitcoin mentioned are made last year without any recourse to community demand of them. Do we need any of this bitcoin fork? The answer is no. Altcoin is not bitcoin and they are valuable for some other uses!

All these forks were just made to divert the attention of the investors from bitcoin, I think. They have not resolved any problems at all. All these forks promised to give us technology far greater than BTC but turned out to be just another altcoins.

There are Bitcoin, and also there are Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold and B2X that we use it as an altcoin, but do we still need other altcoins? as i knew in the forum on the altcoin section there are much announcement about new altcoins almost everyday. do we still need that altcoins?

Yeah I think so, some of the new altcoins have greater use than those on the market right now. Altcoins gives us an options and not just to rely on technologies being offered to us.

If I were you then I would go for ETH. Compared to other coins on your option. ETH is the only coins which more likely to have a great future ahead.

I know so far China is against bitcoin and they are promoting only NEO Coin

China banned bitcoin because of their pride. If bitcoin was made from china then probably they will be the first to legalize the use of it. China and North Korea has the same mind set in terms of economy.

Yeah, indeed. It is now a great opportunity to buy bitcoin. Buy to those who been panicky selling their coins. The price had came down big I'm sure they will sell out to cut their losses.

Hi all,

So I came across this artical and wanted to know everyones thoughts..

http://www.businessinsider.com/bitcoin-price-explosion-wall-street-spends-bonuses-2018-1?IR=T ('Get ready for an explosion' in bitcoin as Wall Streeters spend their bonus checks)

Potential big gains over the week or so?

"When Wall Street bonuses hit bank accounts on January 15, I imagine we'll see a crypto buying spree of epic proportions,"

JuneTueadays

I wonder when this pump will be happening because instead of pumping we have seen the market has gone to be red sea again. Bitcoin had lowered back to 13K and all other coins decreased a bit. LOL

Just because Wall Sreet guys get their bonus, doesn't mean they will put it into cryptos or Bitcoin specifically.
Right now market is still sidways, tending to be a bit more bearish.
We may go sideways or down for a few more weeks or even months. Nobody can tell you.
The last year was crazy and maybe right now it's time for a break.
You and I can't do anything except waiting until the bull awakes again.

I am also waiting for this bull to make a run again. haha One thing is for sure, bitcoins price will never be back below 10K again. The big correction happened before the new year yet it only reached 12K.

Re: Tips on choosing the right ICO

Try to evaluate the team of the ICO project. Look for mistakes on their white paper, know the market of the coin whether the coin is marketable or not. Try to look for their innovation and good use to the existing market.

Yeah, this high fees are killing the bitcoins use as currency people are now looking to bitcoin as an asset to have and not a currency to use. I believe there is a big difference from what it used to be before.

As bitcoin is facing a problem right now, I would be changing the percentage of my portfolio. I still believe in bitcoin, but it would not be wise not to go and hunt a much more good fish in the market.

Re: what your opinion of rising etherum prices ?
by
rolloutdude
on 11/01/2018, 14:36:23 UTC
Ethereum is still undervalued in my opinion. It'll be Bitcoin successor in the future, because ethers are more advanced technically. They are faster, have lower transaction fees and support smart contracts. Ethereum is not also a currency, but also a platform for other services. Thus Ethereum will definitely continue to grow.

I agree with you. ETH is really undervalued yet it has giving us solutions which other coins cannot offer. I have high hopes that the price of ETH will still be growing through time.
