Just "memefy" it. If you could get 1% of the people pushing DOGE to the moon right now with their stimulus checks to buy CLAMS for the lolz, you'd get a gigantic pump. And an old crypto coin currently in the doldrums might actually be attractive as it's cheap.
Any new plan to try to revive CLAM? In this new world of thousands of "tokens" I wonder if this is even possible.
My focus for CLAM is continuing to try and grow our liquidity and confidence in the market on FreeBitcoins.
CLAM got shattered by Poloniex and Bittrex's fuckery. Then CLAM being used as a vehicle to rob Poloniex didn't help much either.
We are past that and CLAM has a market place again.
CLAMS are so cheap at the moment... I don't see it lasting. I kind of think we will see some activity with POS coins when ETH kicks off their staking.
You guys are doing a good job, but nowadays crypto is becoming quite different with all those tokens and DeFi stuff. I wonder if CLAMS could take advantage of this. CLAMS was created in 2014, it's a really old currency at that point and most people's eyes aren't on this type of old blockchains. We just slept on our precedent successes when we were listed on Bittrex and Poloniex. So I don't know, it's difficult to see a path towards a revival without a LOT of work or luck.

The biggest draw to SimpleFX is that your account is denominated in BTC, and not converted in USD. I think Evolve Markets do the same. https://evolve.markets/
but why after all this time, clam not have a little exchange like crex24, stex or similar? price for listing are really low, all clam community can pay a little bit and enter in a normal exchange
Don't forget that there's also BTCPOP.co that has CLAM listed. They even stake! But yeah the biggest difficulty right now is getting an exchange that can get listed on the damn CLAM page on CMC. If we already had freebitcoins and btcpop that would already give the coin back some legitimacy. I guess we could try with crex24 and stex.

Question: do you guys avoid trading FOREX with your BTC denominated account when BTC is highly volatile? Because if you open trades in EUR/USD and then Bitcoin goes bonkers, your equity will also zigzag, even if EUR/USD isn't changing much.
Anyone using SimpleFX with relatively large amount for a long time? I've tested them for 1 month with a medium amount and haven't detected any bad thing happening so far. Some people seem really angry at them on ForexPeaceArmy though. There was also that BCH huge dump fiasco apparently. I'm currently hesitating between Evolve Markets and SimpleFX.
wow. I just checked their FPA page. this is new to me. On the other hand there doesn't seam to be a scam accustation (where you have to provide proof)?
I really like their platform and the fact that you can do everything in BTC without any KYC hassle is really nice. People were super angry at them because they reverted some BCH shorts due to allegedly "problems with their liquidity providers". I've also seen complaints about the affiliate system, as someone referred someone else but from the same family, resulting in them using the same IP. SimpleFX didn't like it apparently. The good side is that they've been around since 2014, they've won several prizes. They even pay you positive swaps sometimes. The questionable side is: unregulated because crypto (not even by a small country or small independent organization), you can't find the CEO's name (contrary to say... Bitmex) and if you're caught in the limbo of their dispute system you basically have no further recourse. Some people also say that their FB page looks like it's populated by bot "likes" instead of real people. You can check their Twitter page for example and you'll see much fewer followers . So many mixed feelings Evolve seems like they're the same kind of company (same country, no CEO name etc.) but have fewer people attacking them online, that's about it.

Just letting everyone know that I have had a much better Clam exchanging experience at btcpop.co over poloniex. Poloniex always had these random wallet issues, whereas btcpop.co would always process my withdrawals instantly. Hopefully more clam users start using this exchange so there can be more volume / liquidity. There is a really big spread with market making opportunities right now.
Note: I am not affiliated with btcpop in any way besides being a user on their exchange. PS: I can't wait to try the xploited / BAC exchange when it is up.
LLTGC
This show how Poloniex really was trash. Not CLAM's fault if they couldn't maintain their wallet in a functioning state.
Please use https://btcpop.co/home.php (no country restrictions) or https://tradesatoshi.com/Exchange/?market=CLAM_BTC (not available in the US and Japan) to buy or sell CLAMS. Yobit is shit. Why TradeSatoshi isn't listed on CMC? I don't know. Btcpop.co is supposedly working on their API to be on CMC. But PLEASE, stop relying on CMC so much to find exchanges.
CLAM can be bought and sold normally at https://tradesatoshi.com/Exchange?market=CLAM_BTC and btcpop.co (need to register to see the orderbook). Volume is slowly picking up but since people rely so much on CMC, they don't really research about exchanges that aren't listed.
TradeSatoshi isn't available in the US or Japan (and other more obscure countries such as Iran or Syria). Btcpop.co doesn't have any country restriction to my knowledge.
Please Doog and other people responsible, share the info. Currently we don't have any news on the "Xchange" as well except from when Xploited and BAC shows up in the JD's chat. Update your FAQ/Website/Announcements. I know you guys are working hard on the Xchange but you're currently letting things die after Polo's delisting.
TradeSatoshi isn't available in these countries though: The United States of America ,Iran, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Sudan, Cuba, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, Serbia, Japan.
A VPN might be useful.
Otherwise there's https://btcpop.co/home.php without any restriction. You need to register to see the orderbook. Btcpop also can stake your CLAMS.
NO KYC needed.
Volume seems to be picking up on both of these exchanges.
Blah, didn't get done tonight... shooting for tomorrow right before the 16:00 UTC time Poloniex kill time.
Miss our projected time... hoping to have our exchange "live" live in less than 5 hours.
I will update soon.
(Also, Poloniex withdraws are working great for me atm too. Maybe Polo listened to dooglus single line of code fix finally after 10 months... lol. smh.
I'm sure they actually fixed their CLAM wallet just to delist it in a relatively smooth fashion.
Not really surprised about the Polo delist. No real development or innovation, last Twitter post was about a year and a half ago. No presence at conferences etc., no vision for the future. So yeah, in such a case the old must make place for the new.
It was fun while it lasted and some people made some good money I would imagine.
Well, we're basically the opposite of these show off ERC20 tokens that need conferences and a hyperactive twitter account to make false promises only to crash a few months later. We're just around, with a very small but dedicated community, an antique looking website that is the longest living crypto dice and we've been through previous pretty hard times. You'd be a fool not to at least buy a little at the current price, just in case
-Try to get listed on Binance (difficult). Binance could be interested by the staking feature. Tell them to maybe avoid margin trading with it (stupid whale that pumped and dumped on Polo).
Time for the wet blanket of reality - why would any exchange that wants to become legitimate in the space take on a coin that had been subject to the blatant price manipulation as CLAM had? CLAM is never getting listed in Binance. In fact, it is rather unlikely at this point that it will ever be listed on any exchange of significant volume.
Hence the "difficult" I typed. I think a lot of smaller market cap coins have had their pump and dump moments. Poloniex was just very stupid to leave them in margin trading without some proper safety measures against this scenario.
