I'd like to ask my deposit from 4 days ago to be returned to 1untbp6qm8rsQGrt9jqLXZq2oVgFDtVD

I think that is fair and should be done, however the bitcoin address you provided is invalid, please check that.

https://i.imgur.com/i8uOHaF_d.jpg?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fidelity=high

So addresses were:
1untbp6qm8rs8QGrt9jqLXZq2oVgfDtVD (correct in the screenshot)
1untbp6qm8rsQGrt9jqLXZq2oVgFDtVD (missing at least one 8 and fifth last F was capital here)

Paid.

And people please learn to use copypaste or other methods of providing addresses, also QR code should be used as the way to deliver the address only when it suits the receiver, such as in mobile payment situations.

I have been Risto's friend in his up's and down's for a while, mostly following his public career from distance, but after I met him again some 5 weeks ago after more than 1,5 year of not meeting him I did participate in CryptoKingdom for time after that and now I see my nick (ronaz) pulled to this thread so I came answer for things, albeit was unclear what is the question to answer, to be clear from my side. I guess question is basically what the heck is happening. I have been out there with my real name all the time and would not wish to see any blame come towards me.

I have never been m3 depository manager, which saddam and whole community can confirm for you. I was one of the candidates of when saddam would stop, which has not happened yet.

Regarding b1 depository, saddam was trying to hand it it to me around 14th of April but nothing done to it then yet, then at 18th of April when Risto changed b1 notes to indicate that I need to do it (but with limited access to coins, I had some of his), I agreed for short time as the small amount of his coins in my possession didn't keep withdraw side satisfied for long (~day) and Risto started to run secondary withdrawal on the side for getting more Markka I think. For the larger amount that I was helping him to pull from wallets, most was send to saddam to keep up the b1 depository, which he can also confirm. And Z had got mad and started Eastern weekend accusations in 2 hours after not replying to him, about it running to low so quickly, which was then cleared as he was provided transactions logs and he has not given blame since.

I would like to add that that at the time when I was pushed to be the b1 depository holder it was not liquid as there was more b1 items created than BTC deposited at the depository, and those actions continued. These were Zecheriach's, Coinshop's and Crown's character's b1 item creations, done before I had ever even touch that little to the b1 depository, that had caused the deficit. Link for calculations where the mismatch can be seen is available by PM on request.

And b1 deposit side was opened couple days later of that day and it was open less than a week and total just a bit over 1 BTC had come in, of which transaction log has been gone over and cleared in IRC earlier. I'm happy to send those coins to whomever community figures out is fair.

I have visited Tallinn myself, participated in some events (except refused to come for the fuck fest as that is not something I would like to my name to be mixed with) there and last couple times I visited my main concern was Risto's well-being, community's trust collapsing (fair reaction, I might add) and I repeatedly told him to shut the embassy parties down, calm down somewhere and make deal with debtors before things get more out of hand. Which in the sense of fire, water damage and last-in-line of debtors so far getting close to de nada etc. happened.

edit: corrected March -> April in dates.

To make markets more followable, understandable and chartable, there is work to be done. Such as adding a price column to trades. For trades that execute in multiple prices it is more complicated, but maybe it could be done so that it shows volume weighted average price. Also, adding API access to query change log and/or trade log would be great for the nerds out there.

I can hereby confirm my attendance, I'll be coming a month early back to Europe from Beijing just because of this retreat. I will release information of my new business adventure at this retreat, so only by being there you can get your piece of action of that. And I'll also ask rpietila to host us a great celebration of something that has happened to me in my personal life recently.

I am one of the hosts for this summit. I welcome all participants beforehand and I do expect a lot from this meetup. Last week I joined rpietila at Haikko to test the place, and I am very happy about the place and the service. It is a peaceful environment and the Finnish spring weather has been wonderful for a few days now.

I take my time to reply to some posts here:
Please consider carefully the next summit venue.
I suggest Silicon Valley, e.g. in Mountain View close to the Google Campus.
  • Invite local VC and Singularity Summit  style keynoters, and pitch it at legacy regional investment firms competing for wealthy young risk taking clients, e.g. the Winklevoss twins.
May I kindly remind you that this is, I quote rpietila here, “Bitcoin meetup for the ones most deeply interested in it.” People at Silicon Valley are obviously interested in Bitcoin, maybe even deeply, but not the most deeply. This is not a pitching conference, people will come here and talk themselves. I think your idea is good, and I encourage you or someone else to do it. So thank you for your suggestion, but it does not fit the idea of this summit.
So you announce a conference with 2 weeks warning time? Real professional...
It is never possible to find a time suitable for everyone. If you announce something earlier it is certainly easier for people to plan their timetables accordingly, I must admit that. However this is meant for people who own their freedom, and thus can decide a day, a week, or two week earlier what they want to do. Of course they might have had something of importance planned already, and then they just have to weight what they find to be the most important. It is very simple.

And I also want to announce, you may add this to the first post, what we and Haikko Manor has to offer for leisure time during the extended weekend:
Leisure activities
Frisbee-golf course around the mansion
Jogging in a forest route
Spa (sauna, warm & cold pools, a swimming pool)
Gym
Beach sauna (rented to us for the whole summit, sauna and cold ocean water)
Some board games (Carcassonne, Ticket to Ride) & playing cards (& chips)

And to eat and drink:
Restaurant premises and cafes
Fine dining at Haikko Manor
À la Carte, menu TBA 7.5
Spa Bistro & Café
Spa Bistro & Café offers light, quick and tasty food. Baked potatoes, pasta, Finnish tapas-plates, Haikko Burgers, salads, pastries and snacks are available. You can also buy your sauna beverages here - we sell also organic and local beer, cider, wine and juice.
The Manor House Club
A cozy club restaurant for after dinner drinks. A small dance floor and a good selection of whiskies.

Hello all,

I think this is a good spot for me to introduce myself to the Bitcointalk community. I have been a long time reader of this forum since 05/2011, but I have not been writing here. I am well known in Finnish Bitcoin community, but internationally I am a new face. I met handful of you in London Bitcoin conference, where I was representing Bittiraha.fi. Bittiraha.fi belongs to Prasos Oy, a Bitcoin company in Finland. I am proud to be one of the founders of that successful online startup.

I met Risto for the first time last autumn in some Bitcoin related stuff. Immediately we had a four hour meeting, found out that our companies can do mutually profitable business together, and that has been going on from ever since. Lately, as he said, he offered me a strong position in his organization and I did not hesitate to take it. I had a lot going on in Bittiraha.fi as well, but for now I leave it in excellent hands, while I concentrate on some new stuff and learn from a respectable and successful businessman. I will finish a capital round which I started and leave the company standing stronger than ever before.

Alongside some occasional coffee making, I was immediately given quite free hands to explore ways to accumulate more wealth (=bitcoins ldo) for Risto. That is what I have been doing and what I will be doing. I feel so supercharged with Risto's resources, finally some serious wall building. I just hope he would drink less coffee so I could focus on making bitcoins.

Something about myself. I am 25, keen on computers, game theory, Buddhism. I have studied Information and Knowledge Management master of science program in Tampere University of Technology, but for the last three years I just have not had time for it! I traveled the world quite extensively, then I found out about Bitcoin and it immediately got all my attention.

To contribute some about recent events.. yes, Friday was interesting trading day for all of us brokers. My own position is long term hold and as a broker for Risto I would not even have time to think my own coins. Anyway, during Friday we focused in buying. Our first approach did not work, the price did not dip enough. The second approach was to systematically get it in with $51-$71 range and it worked perfectly during the afternoon. Yeah, it took some waiting, but it is game of patience!

Thursday was also interesting day.. I made my weekly wage for Risto in less than two hours. Raking in bitcoins so fast made me happy. I was very tired all day as I was woken up around midnight to follow the cra.. price correction and I did not get any more sleep. Volatility creates opportunities and I focused on low-risk but medium-yield moves in couple of exchanges. Luckily being competitive RTS player gives me an advantage with rapid clicking of mouse! I hope we will see a quiet day or two during next week so I may focus on improving my trading tools. I have to setup quickly: backup Internet connection, a multi-display setup, customized programs and some improvements on data sheets and charts used etc.

I look eagerly towards future. I think we are headed into interesting times as Bitcoin is quickly becoming main stream.

Re: BAMT restarting Cgminer 2.7.4 every time system clock reaches HH:MM:01
by

It's incompatible with recent versions of cgminer as it doesn't think cgminer is running and kills it off inappropriately. Try replacing the BAMT mother file in the /opt/bamt directory with this one:
http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/temp/mother

Note that in the next version of bamt, apparently they're dropping support of cgminer.

Ha! I was not aware of those files. Beyond my knowledge level of these things. I do not know what you modified, but it works!

Sent you a small quarter of BTC tip for being so helpful!

Well, I guess I don't really have a need to upgrade BAMT after this so it is no problem.

Difference between new mother-file and the old one:
Code:
269,270c269,272
<       #  babysit cgminer
<       my $cg = `ps Haux | grep cgminer | wc -l`;
---

>       my @ps = `ps axu | grep /opt/miners/cgminer`;
>

<       if ( $cg -gt "1" )
---

Tried with the same USB stick in another quite similar computer, does the same trick. Please help Smiley

I don't know if it did the same with old Cgminer version, as I upgraded it quite right away.

Using Phoenix instead works like a charm, BAMT does not restart mining process every single minute.

SOLVED: BAMT restarting Cgminer 2.7.4 every time system clock reaches HH:MM:01
by

on 30/08/2012, 13:00:46 UTC
[solved by ckolivas, thank you!]

Hi, I hope I found the right place for my post.

I am looking for a help to debug a problem I think is something really really small, but still very frustrating for me.

I am currently setting up my machines to use BAMT. BAMT came with Cgminer 2.3.x and it was too old for me so I successfully upgraded Cgminer to version 2.7.4 after first running BAMT fixer for newest BAMT fixes. Mining works for hours straight if I start the miner with command ./cgminer --api-listen --config /etc/bamt/cgminer.conf when in /opt/miners/cgminer/

BUT, my problem is:
If I let BAMT start the miner when machine is started the Cgminer shuts down when system clock reaches HH:MM:01, every single time.
And Cgminer starts again at 15 seconds later (HH:MM:16). This happens if I start the machine, or start the mining by command /etc/init.d/mine start or restart

I guess this might have something do to with me using different version of Cgminer than the one which came with BAMT. New info: I tried with Cgminer 2.3.1f which came with BAMT, no problems with it!

Any ideas for a fix or ways to debug this more? Thank you!

Here is a log from /var/log/bamt.log, which just tells Cgminer is stopped and started again, and stopped again and started again...
