Re: [OS] nvOC easy-to-use Linux Nvidia Mining vBASIC || Community Edition 2.0

Hello.
Where I can download the latest version?
I download the nvOC_V19-2.1beta_U16.04_N390_D180707 (for nvOC >= 2.1), but here is no miner for equihash 144,5 and 1bash is for old version.
Also the update doesn't work.

Both bminer and new ewbf are capable of mining new equihash algos, and both available in 19-2.1
What do you mean by the update doesnt work?

In the process of updating there was an error that I did not have time to read.
Then, at the start of the terminal, the following was issued:
"There is something wrong with your 1bash settings file, nvOC can't start. Check if it exist or contains errors. SSH access is now being enabled to let you debug. This program will restart in a minure."
Also I find 1bash and there I turn on TeamViewer, but after restart terminal it still did not work.

As you can read your 1bash is corrupted or missing.
You should make a copy of 1bash.template and edit it so the latest changes takes effect.

Code:
cp ~/NVOC/mining/1bash.template ~/NVOC/mining/1bash

To edit from ssh:
Code:
nano ~/NVOC/mining/1bash

or if on local or teamviewer:
Code:
gedit ~/NVOC/mining/1bash

Hi Rev123,
Just got same symptom and error message after doing nvoc upgrade, tried copying back original 1bash.template, still getting errors. Will mess around a bit more and see.

Update
I think the problem might be a missing end-quotes in the line v0038=... the version changes section towards the top of 1bash. Fixed it for me.

Should be fixed in latest bug fix,
Please update and let us know.

Hi papampi,

I did a quick test,
- fresh image of nvOC_V19-2.1beta_U16.04_N390_D180707 to test rig
- made no changes to 1bash, just let it boot up and do its update thing - OK
- mining OK

But I get the errors from nvOC line 899: and line 907: ((: 0038: value too great for base (error token is "0038") when I manually run nvOC upgrade.

What happens if you try the faulty one alone in the hub? Does it work then?

Makes no difference.

That's a pretty weird issue. Where did you get it from?

Ordered through Laura.

Greets.

Just got another couple of 2Pac for my collection. But getting a problem with one of them not being detected. When I plug it in, the blue LED lights up, but turns off as soon as I let go.

I.e. if I touch the heatsink, the blue LED lights up. The USB bus sees it but shows as inactive. cgminer does not detect it. The other one runs fine. I presume I have a faulty 2Pac ?

Incidentally, they run months on end without intervention.

Is anyone else having issues with 19-2.0 auto temp?  When the miner restarts after a switch, it wont auto control the fans until i manually click "enable gpu fan settings" in nvidia server x

in miner temp control i get :
Error: error assigning value 33 to attribute 'GPUTargetFanSpeed'
(m1-desktop:0[fan:0]) as specified in assignment
'[fan:0]/GPUTargetFanSpeed=33' (unknown error)

Thanks for reporting this issue. We identified the problem and working on a fix for this. This problem happens only when using switcher. Until this is fixed please refrain from using the switcher as the advanced temp control will not be able to control the fans after the switch. Mining single coin without the switcher is not affected by this.

Yes, happily mining away on single coin. Thank you all for your efforts in bringing us the greatest mining software !

Just checked after upgrading one rig. Exactly the same symptoms as you getting .

Thanks for the "enable gpu fan settings" tip. At least we can keep mining until we figure it out.

Just FYI, if it fails and has to restart, you'll need to recheck it. For some reason, It was re running the setup and I'd lose temp control again. I just went back to 19.4

Yes thanks, I saw that.

Odd, I'll do a full installation from scratch when I have time and see if it solves the problem (I Presume so)
