I don't want to cast negativity on JSECOIN since I am also a holder and still mining it through my blogs, but they should address all the issue about their token, and do something on the price, we need more exchange or more good platform to push the price.
The problem with JSECOIN is bigger than just they have a blockchain or not. The problem is, the token has no purpose.
Let's say it has its own blockchain and you are really getting tokens with mining. What is the purpose of coins? What is that blockchain for, just mining? What are the specs of that blockchain, is that coin is for payment? It has very unknowns and not a single purpose.
Not true, at the moment you can use JSE tokens to buy advertising space on websites with the JSE code where webmasters have allowed adverts to be placed.
According to the CMC the traded volume of JSECoin in the last 24h was only $118. This is very low volume for a project to survive on the market.
Exactly. The price is hard to gauge when there is such low volume!
The guy with 91k of jse coin could probably collapse the entire market if he tried selling all at once.
There are plenty of miners, but not many people accepting jse coin as payment. So alot of downwards pressure on prices, with not alot of upwards pressure through utility.
There is a number of guys I know within the JSE community with over 250k JSE, we're not interested in crashing the market.
This project and the team are top notch, they're solving a real world problem with some cutting edge technology.
ads from the web too much indeed make such a waste if it appears too often. JSEcoin could possibly be a solution in addressing this for a better site. in mine I think it is going to be able to be more optimal than ever before.
That's exactly what the team is going for, glad it's catching on!

I recommend getting a Raspberry Pi and installed Minera, super easy to use.

guys guys, it's not about how powerful your processor is.
the hashes found will put you into a lottery system where winners will be picked at random and only the winner will receive the tokens.
Exactly this, well described
The way I understand it each hash found puts you in the lottery system that gets drawn every 30 seconds. however only 1 ticket per miner per lottery cycle gets counted so if your CPU isn't strong enough to hit a share every 30 seconds yes, you will be at a bit of a disadvantage. If you are hitting multiple shares per cycle then that extra work is going to waste. I could be wrong about this but that's how understand the way I read it.
I believe you're right, just to add, I'm literally using a Raspberry Pi and am getting 40+ JSE a day which is pretty good IMO.
I've also mined on a super old PC and still get around 2,000H/s
whoa awesome. actually i'm kinda looking into using the a raspberry pi to mine JSE too.
Definately get one, so worth it, mine just hashes away all day long.

Just joined this, it's pretty cool however it's simply mining within the browser like that. straight away hash rate is at 4388 hp/s. is that this the sole thread for JSE? why there's no main ANN?
I created this to get some hype before the ANN came out, try searching first.
