Better way to read 3000 page threads?
by

on 18/12/2013, 22:57:26 UTC
I'm finding it really difficult to keep track of very active forum threads. e.g. KnCMiner thread, Speculation Wall tracker, etc.

Is there a better way to read 3000 page threads? Other than scrolling and clicking each page number?

It seems the "All" [pages] button disappears after a thread becomes too long.

Any bookmarklets or chrome plugins that help?

Re: Arbitrage opportunity??

I did a test, with 1 BTC. I sold it on MtGox (I think for like ~100 USD), and had it waiting in a transfer queue in MtGox for over 3 months, waiting on their bank to complete the wire transfer. In late October, I finally asked them to cancel the USD wire transfer and convert it back to BTC, so I could use my BTC somewhere else.

This is a great idea but there's no way to get USD out of MtGox without growing old. Your money can work better for you elsewhere.

Order #40x, ordered and paid June 3rd... "Day 2"  Roll Eyes, shipped Oct 9th, delivered Oct 11th to US West Coast.

Front 2 fans arrived knocked off, a mess just like the other pictures you've seen. Box wasn't badly damaged though.

Heatsink bent slightly. Nothing a few hand tools couldn't fix. http://i.imgur.com/QPYnXmv.jpg

Using Corsair AX860... no fires or pops or anything nasty.

Started up, applied 0.95 firmware, pretty easy.

Temps are a little hot for my tastes... we'll work on some airflow http://i.imgur.com/F386xnl.png

530gh/s+.. seems to be rising slowly! http://i.imgur.com/ul7bhuI.png

Measuring 576W @ the wall using Kill-A-Watt

Probably my last post in this thread, back to professional lurker status. Bye Smiley

How about a Corsair AX860? Been calling around, local store has this a few miles away. Otherwise I think I have a loooong drive after work. I live way out in the mountains Smiley

My Jupiter is scheduled for delivery today. Of course I bought a Corsair HX850 - is there any *safe* way to use it, or should I not even plug the thing in?

What if I power on the HX850 and plug in the PCI-E connectors one at a time?

JESUS

I have absolutely no idea how people with this amount of experience find themselves buying these devices.  Really?

Literally in awe when I'm reading some of the questions in here.

brb, gonna go study electrical engineering for a few years and then ask a question that by then I'll already know the answer to. Thanks for clarifying, at least I asked first, instead of frying my stuff.

How is it that I paid on June 4, and people who paid on june 8, are already receiving their orders?!?
They most likely honoured my preregister queue number as Paladin69 mentioned, since I paid within the week we were given. And that's nice.

Where can we find this "preregister number"? I only see order number and order status stuff... my order is Day 2 40x: "In Progress"

Re: Dual Xeons?

Be aware - there are NO "EATX" or any "*ATX" form factor dual xeon motherboards currently available on the market.

The Z9PE-D8 is an 'SSI EEB' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SSI_CEB) which has the same physical dimensions as an EATX but has additional standoffs, and drilling and mounting them yourself is required if not using an SSI EEB compatible case.

Look at the "Form Factor" here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131817

Here's a list of cases that are compatible: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007583&IsNodeId=1&Description=EEB&name=Computer%20Cases&Order=BESTMATCH

I like the Cosmos II, but, I have the room in my office...

I've been looking at building one myself, I personally decided to wait until the next gen Xeon's come out (just a few weeks away now, rumor has it). https://www.google.com/search?q=E5-2687W+v2

Good luck and may the multithreads be with you Grin

After much headaches with various versions of cgminer, I switched to bfgminer, and it's been smooth sailing since. Running 11 erupters.

I've been looking into this for a long time.

Basically, it can't currently be done efficiently - you can't get your money out of Mt Gox when you sell your BTC there. People are waiting weeks, sometimes months before they see their USD or EUR move out of Gox.

There are a few inconclusive reports that moving larger (> 5 digit sums) of money out of Gox makes it go "faster" but there are contradictory reports for that as well.

Try it with 1 BTC or so, see how long your withdrawl takes Smiley

I've been looking, hoping to figure out the best way to buy "normal" goods (not random internet junk). Food, Fuel, Utilities. Seems there really isn't much option for this.

Maybe in the future Chevron, BP, Costco, will accept Bitcoins Smiley
