Its not Satoshi.  There is no need for Satoshi to use > 2019 by Ivy McLemore & Associates. All rights reserved.<  IMO, In 2008 the curtain fell on the American financial system.  The monetary system isn't coping very well with the fact that since 2001 China and export nations have kept their currencies low and expanded on a huge scale.  They bought unprecedented amounts of USD debt/money with their massive trade surplus keeping the USD stronger than it should be, which led to de-industrialization/globalization accelerating.  This also directly kept the interest rates lower in America than they should have been, fueling loan creation and that over time culminated with the financial orgy that was collateralized mortgage debt obligations and their insurance products.  Nothing has been done to change it.  Structural problem which requires a structural change.

Bitcoin is the structural change.

this is a very cool post.  Wanted to quote it in the event I wanted to reference it in the future.

Anyone up to date what is going on with Ethereum?

Looking at Ethermine it looks like the ProgPOW audit should be released in Late August which is now. Also it looks like the ETH devs have finalized the next Ethereum fork (Istanbul) and looking at the EIP posted it doesnt look like there is any type of algo change in there.
Progpow is delayed for next year,it should be part of second hard fork

thanks, i too have not much paid attention to my eth that i mined back in the day. i just keep hearing about eth 2.0, sharding, progpow, blabla. since i just hodl eth now and not mine it anymore im out of the loop. although should be getting bag into eth soonish as i have an fpga on its way that can do it as a side bitstream.

so. anything i need to do with my old skool eth that are in my trezor/MEW? i assume not but it sure would suck if i blow it by not asking a simple question.

I have my bags of eth on Trezor.  It's been pretty smooth thus far.  No changes I am aware of.

Note this applies to USA and the IRS

Talking about record keeping I was sent a letter from IRS  they said when I filed for 2018 I left out an account.

I realized  I send all my coinbase info as usual and said to myself WTF  are they talking about.
I did some checking and found they are looking for my gdax- now pro-coinbase info for 2018

It won't cost me money  as my usage of gdax was not trading as much as cheaper  fees to convert  coinbase btc to cash

My typical thing  was

1)move 0.100 btc from coinbase to gdax
2)sell the 0.1000 btc on gdax
3)move the cash  to coinbase
4)withdraw the cash to bank account

or

1) move cash from coinbase to gdax
2) buy btc or ltc at gdax
3) send btc or ltc to coinbase
4) buy gear from bitmain with that btc or ltc

They now want all my gdax/pro-coinbase record from 2018  (all older years have zero trades with gdax/pro.coinbase)

2018  mostly was a down year.
I had losses most of the year. So I know sending the info will mean my capital gain(loss in reality) carryover  will go from 1800 usd to say 2500

But the paperwork involved appears to be nuts crazy and or wacko.  Truing the info involves matching it  to my coinbase data filed with irs.

So while I saved fees I think this will take a week to do.

I thought that gdax info was included with my coinbase tax info It is not and it needs to be sent in a new

this seems like a massive headache.

You know your tools are getting old when
1. Your Ryzen 5 2600 shows up in HWiNFO with a 108 Degrees core temp..  like wtf
2. Your Vega 64 reference shows up in GPU-Z with 8 Gig of Micro memory.  like wtf.  I know it has Samsung..
3. ATI pixel clock patcher complains that the driver file is too large.
Luckily all above items were resolved by upgrading the corresponding tool...
Time to overhaul the software repo..
Goes to show you the amount of innovation going on in this field called mining..

Perhaps I should mention that I needed to upgrade OverDrivenTool to 0.2.8. beta1 after I upgraded my AMD driver to 19.4.1 and lost fan control on my RX 570s...
Then I had to upgrade my Teamviewer to 14 something after it complained that the machine I tried to connect to had 14 something....

BTW does anyone know of a replacement for TeamViewer?  I am getting tired of its ways..  I can only stay connected a few minutes at a time now it suspects business use...

I still have a license for RemoteAdministrator 2.1; and its my fallback for when I need to double wrap a session, or don't have the ability to install TeamViewer;   it's basically windows RDP before windows had RDP.

If you know how to properly filter/restrict your traffic;  just use windows RDP;  just be absolutely sure you know how to configure the machine to only respond to you.   There are many ways to do this....

would you mind sharing a few ways.  I could always use a few tips.

Phil - Where do you have your L3+ pointed - and what does one produce per day in USD?

Trying to figure out what I'll do with the few I have.

well you could sell them to me Grin

mine point to viabtc.com 18 units.  these earn about .36 LTC a day    SO 1 earns 0.02 ltc which is about 1.60-1.80 USD a day  remember the power deal is zero cash ½ my coins for me so.  my l3+ earn 18 x .85 = 15.30 usd a day or 460 a month. they are paid off so it is something.

and I point 200 mh to tbdice on solo mining

my she-256 earns about 0.022 btc a day I get ½ = 0.011 a day or 55 USD  net 70 for BTC and LTC  or 2100 a month.

What would you offer for 4 L3+?  We could probably scrap shipping, I could meet you somewhere off I-78.  Quick glance at ebay I saw one go for $122

Phil - I can report my Grin setup as follows.

SMOS
Mining to F2Pool
Withdraw to Bitmesh
Sell at Bitmesh for BTC
Withdraw BTC to BTC Wallet.

I was pleasantly pleased with F2Pool -> Bitmesh.  Selling at Bitmesh was painless.  BTC withdraw was painless.

I also use Bitmesh - most convenient so far compared to all other exchanges.

I am using bminer in SMOS mining to f2pool.

4 rigs, consisting of (3+5+6) x 1080ti and 7 x 1070ti = pushing around 130 gps

bminer doesnt support c31 at the moment

I can push the 1080tis higher up to +20% more using c31

Which miner in SMOS best for c31?

i messed around on SMOS to try to get grin-miner to work on C31.  I was NOT successful.

If you get it working in SMOS please share the details!

so  if I setup 12x 1080ti  I would be around 82.8 + the 6 from the 2070 that is 88 or 89 gh.

what is that in grin a day

I have been doing the 2070 for 3 hours and got  0.02 so x 8 = 0.16 grin for 6 gh  x 15 = 2.4 grin x 13.50 =  32 a day hey that is really good.

Seems too good.

Does 90gh do 32 USD a day in grin?

1000 a month is pretty good if it is right and lasts.

Seriously Phil, since you are already on sparkpool that's great.
From the first block till today, c31 has outperformed c29 especially with hardware such as 1080ti's.
This seems to be leveling out.

If I where you, I would:

a)Put half of your 1080ti's to mine c31 with Minerbabe.
b)Put the other half of the ti's to mine c29 with always the latest release of Bminer (currently 14) - subject to change.
Lets us know how the ti's work out for you.
c)Put all your AMD based cards to mine c31. Probably perform just a bit better from c29.

All of that, yesterday. You'll thank me later Grin

PS1: Don't link sparkpool to exchange. You can't revert it. Use the email withdraw option only (when that appears).
PS2: The 2070's probably need to mine c31 also.

is there a windows miner for c31?

f2pool has a 5 Grin minimum withdraw...

not an issue if I run 12x 1080ti's

but for now I am on spark pool with a single rtx 2070 mining to an email of my choice

and a bit lost

from spark pool

Notice: The Grin mining address is your email account. Format: email/rigid

(for example:123456@gmail.com/rig-1)

Please ensure the safety of your Email, you may lose your coins if your email being hacked, recommend you to turn on two-factor authentication in your email.

so how do I track the coins?
do I get  email notice?

okay found out I enter email on spark pool website.

scroll down, there is a "minerPage.tab.income" and there is a "minerPage.income.transaction" there, it is the reference tx id (amount and other info is also there).

i think sparkpool payout option is only choosing through an exchange deposit address, that is why it is binded through your email to verify the "binding process".

mine is a bitmesh binded deposit address.

Grin is good Phil - Was better a few days ago.  But it's still good.  I'm on F2pool, with 75 mhs, and I get 2.5 GRIN per day.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't know you could voltage mod the L3 all the way down to 700 Watts or so.

Do you know if it can be done without any additional hardware such as a dongle? Because with the sidehack S7-LN mod, you need to buy some special part to communicate with the controller and get it to undervolt.

The tool is all software based. The thread to the tool can be found at the link below.

The thread is full of good information and should answer almost any question you have related to the application.

I could help you out as well if you read the thread and still have questions.

Been out of the ASIC loop for a while.

A buddy wants to get a quiet (non-loud) ASIC to play around with Cryptos. He will be sleeping in the same room as the ASIC and wants it to make heat and noise but not too much heat and noise.

Only one I Could think of was that Antminer S7-LN that he can hack and add some case fans.

Any other quiet ASICs out there? Similiar to an Antminer S3 in noise?

L3+ you can lower voltage as well. There also is a third party firmware floating around somewhere

Not sure how I feel about eth / etc being for gpus. Bitmain has an “asic” in this algo. Not sure how it compares to gpu. But it’s surely more plug and play then building a gpu rig.

I could be wrong , and probably am but where there is one asic , there could always be a “new” version in he works.

on another note, 1.13 enemy is "out"

1.13 has Renesis support. I’ve already mined 18k coins to hope get a nice cache before this enemy release and difficulty rise.
