I am trying to figure out the whole process.
I have logged in as I am a past customer and got the details

They really do not understand how to communicate in the english language and the details, though appear to be spelled out, do not really convey what the heck is really happening.
Specifically what is the  "Every 1000T can redeem 1 Pizza NFT"  - or other detail as described in step 3
I have emailed for clarification with no response.

ASIC.to has been reliable site in the past for decent alternative firmware for S9 and S17 series. I have used on both of those without any issues in the past.
I currently use MSK miner (mskminer.com) on my S17 Pros. They are both comparable and I just like MSK a little better.
They both have Developer fee's built in of about 2.8%.

The ASIC.to review on YouTube stated the S19j was 2%, but I can find any more details yet.
I am also considering trying the S19J firmware from ASIC.to
It appears their are no links on their site for the S19j firmware at the moment, but very active chat on the Telegram Channel.
I'm reviewing the chat now and may try it or may not.
My only worry is my units are under Bitmain Warranty, and Bitmain will deny warranty if they detect modified firmware having been installed.

Member for 3 1/2 years. On and off active in a couple forum areas. All of 3 Merits. Almost a jr member. I will say I am not a heavy poster at all, and do a lot more reading of posts who often have helped me find answers. The whole point of the forum for me. I do try to be an active participant where I can and have posted valid and helpful input when I actually have it, but it's often for other newbies.  Getting merit does seem not all that easy, or maybe my handful of posts aren't that helpful

I did use https://great-voyage-inc.myshopify.com/ for an S17 Pro power Supply repair (APW9) recently
They are legit. Getting a repair is kind of confusing. You create a repair request on their site and send in. Then email for confirmation. I also joined their telegram chat for more immediate questions.

I was however very disappointed in price. Half of it went dead, that is 2 of the 3 fans (as powered by one cord) stopped. Expected it to simply be an integrated fuse, but they of course did not say. They never advised of estimate to repair (I failed to ask ahead of time, too exited I finally found someone that would repair power supplies) and they only said done, total due $250 ($200 repair and $50 return shipping. It only cost me $14 to ship to them the via my UPS account.) However, as you can't find one for less than $350 now and days, I had to take it.

I may give them another chance for a hashboard repair as my regular company is 90 days out and they turned the power supply in about 3 weeks. Telegram chat suggests they are similarly fast on hashboards. But I will ask for price quote before repair

@gracezhou1993 is her legit Telegram. Be careful as there are some impersonators with similar Telegram Channels trying to be her.
@minerexpertsales is there sales channel. They have a website too that is a little outdated as they pretty much operate on Telegram.
They have at least one other reviewed contact some other forum members have worked with but I don't recall name.

You have to keep in mind as time goes on the S9 will become unprofitable sooner than later.
I'm only a very small farm miner. An only my opinion here.

With the overall Hashrate at all time highs near 170 Eh/s and new units being cranked out as fast as possible by multiple manufacturers, (only currently slowed by chip an logistics issues right now), Next gen units on the Horizon (s19 XP), and Quite a few large scale Farms up and coming, in all, will eventually send that Hashrate way higher, and sooner than most think in my opinion, and render those S9's unprofitable fast. Total guess, and depends on Bitcoin Price action of course, but Id give the S9 another year of profitability.

Remember Crypto Winter, when the next one happens (and inevitably some sort of one will occur at some point for at least a while I would bet)
Just needs the right combination of Bitcoin Hashrate (difficulty), Bitcoin price drop, and S9's wont be worth running, and selling wont bring much return. I remember when Bitmain was selling S9's new direct for under $100 (before shipping cost) during crypto Winter.

A few S9's for a newbie getting their feet wet may be ok, A lot of learning in setting up a starter farm. But if your going into for the long haul and long profit. Go with the most efficient (new or used) reliable unit(s) you can.

I started in 2017 with 1 S9. Had 13 various machines at one point in 2018.
I have a mix a models (ages) from L3+ to S19 Pro running now (7 units total now)

Buy, run, profit,  HODL, upgrade, repeat.

I heat my garage in MN (similar to you weather wise) successfully
I mine for profit and my heating has evolved form a bunch of miners in a partially insulated garage to now fully insulated and even duct runs to distribute heat in 1000 square foot garage. Long story.

Size of garage and insulated vs. non-insulated all need to be considered.
I would say a typical 24 x 24 to 26 reasonably insulated garage would need at least 2 S9's to keep above 50 deg F most of the time. That a guess from my experience.

Just completed a purchase form them of an S19j Pro
They seem to mostly have minimum purchase requirements of 5, but occasionally that has changes to 1

While legit, it wasn't the smoothest or quickest.
- Site suggests you can pay by credit card but you can only make a down payment by credit card of 5% to secure order (max $5000 per order)
     Balance is due in crypto or Bank Wire
- I had to make a number of email/phone follow up calls as the order process was more manual that automated.
     (invoice clarification, Confirm payment receipt, order status, etc)
- Delivery took about 5 plus weeks, when expected much faster especially when paying current prices in line with other at the time.
        1st hold up was one the reps responsible for the order was at the Dubi Bitcoin Event.
         Followed by supplier delays (outside their control and I think a lot of brokers/resellers are currently having the same issue.) but communication lacking.
- Delivery updates were non-existent as order showed up randomly, and not even clear it was from this vendor as I had another unit coming form another vendor.
     I am assuming it is from them vs other vendor as other vendor was a future batch advised in delay and only a 90 Th/s unit
     A week later still no update from then that it was shipped, they don't even seem to know I have.
     And supposedly supplier doesn't get paid by the broker until buyer confirmed as received.  
     So not sure how much longer I wait to tell them I think I have it vs, seeing if they contact me t confirm receipt.

Legit Site,  have purchased from twice now.
1st time I was on pins and needles ordering just over 2 years ago (a new M20)
2nd Unit was a factory certified used unit with 6 month warranty M30S just a few weeks ago. Taking a change on the re-furbished
But there are now a few new units available. (none at the time I ordered).
They seem to keep having batches of the certified used for what its worth but they now have some new units in stock.
 I was super surprised to have the unit at my US doorstep (MN) in about 10 days from payment.

Whatsminer seems to have a pretty good reputation too. Personally I can only speak to the one unit I have had for over 2 years now.
A Whatsminer M20 running with several S17 Pros.
Almost every board of my 3 s17 pros have failed.
Whatsminer has never had a hiccup (Granted I only have had one)

I am now, within the last couple months) started running an M30S (runs hotter than the M20/S17/S19)
I also have and S19 and s19 Pro

I know the S17 Series have heatsink issue and was sharing my experience and personal opinion as honestly as I could.
And YES I did have additional heat sink issues down the road when using other firmware.
I was not attempting to overclock either, I was trying to underclock and improve efficiency and I may not have fully understood how to adjust Braiins after initial install to underclock.

I do look forward to trying Braiin on the S19 in the future I hope as I had been a slushpool miner for several years.
I may be wrong in assuming that it was Braiins, but it was odd after over a year of trouble free use before trying, and certainly did involve the poor quality S17's Bitmain produced.

I tried Braiins 8-10 months ago, and Braiins seems to have fried 2 of my hashboards (1 in each of 2 S17 Pro units) during the initial tune.
Machines had run fine for over a year and a half, and on first run of each machine, killed a board on each.
One I was able to get back for a short term by re-attaching heatsink that shifted (moved but did not fall off)
So they appear to tune from a high power down initially rather than up I assume, resulting in an overheat? This is a guess as I did not research further.
I don't know, just abandoned after it killed two boards.
1 may have been a fluke but 2 is more than that.
Again this was about 8-10 months ago.

I have a small horizontal set up in a positive pressure cabinet for multiple units. Worked great for my original S9/L3 Setup of about 12 units.
I originally went this design for space. I had hoped they would also run cooler than horizontal but saw very little cooling improvement.

As I rotated units to S17 Pro's,I (and Whatsminers) I found Horizontal NOT to be a good idea for the S17's.
Despite their bad design an inevitable failure, I believe Horizontal led to premature failure as a number of heatsinks either eventually fell off or sometimes just slide down out of place leading to overheat and shutdown. A few times I was able to re-heat the sink into place and get running again, but eventually it would fail again. Of my mix of units, my 3 S17 Pros (with 9 boards), have had 8 of 9 boards fail. Some have since been repaired, and 2 deemed unrepairable. I suspect if I had kept Horizontal, some of the failure may have been at least delayed.

Now I am working on transition to S19's. With the improved heatsink I hope the vertical orientation will work better. I only have one S19 95Ths (non pro) right now. They seem to run quite cool compared to previous units. They appear to report outlet temp vs chip temp. but I can feel the cooler exhaust of the unit compared to S17 or M20/M30 Whatsminers.

I am continuing with the horizontal set up, especially now that the S19 (as the Whatsminers) have single, large, secured with screw, heatsinks.

Bitmain.Com, manufacturer direct, as reliable. Purchased from since 2017 when reasonably priced stock is there.
   note : Their customer service (email response) has been horrible the last year. They used to be prompt and answer the actual question.

I can also strongly recommend Whatsminer.net (not Whatsminer.com). I have purchased from them in the past (new unit about 2 years ago) and just recently a Certified Used M30S that arrived within a week of purchase. That was unexpectedly fast. They are lacking in new unit availability (chip supply shortage), but keep listing batches of certified used. They are a US based factory re-seller. I THINK  only 1 of 2 official US suppliers.

I have also used Amazon, but expect to overpay. (Purchased from Unistar on Amazon in the recent past)


There is a number of threads with some reviews of sellers (mostly on Telegram) if you search the forum. I have one pending order I can't speak to reliability yet, but has been reviewed as a trusted supplier by other members, is Grace Zhou from minerexpert. Again, I can not speak to reliability myself yet, but have 1 unit on a future batch I have trusted sending my money to based on other forum members recommendations.

Whatsminer.net is also a legit site. Apparently from other posts they are an Authorized US distributor of Microbit Whatsminer units. (not Whatsminer.com which I have not seen any feedback on)

I purchased a new unit a couple years ago without issue, and last week purchased a used (claimed to be factory refurbished w/month warranty) Whatsminer M30.
New units are not listed too often and go out of stock in a day.

They have more recently had a few batches of "Refurbished Units" so I went for one.
I arrive from China in about 7 days from payment via DHL which is quite quite fast to US.

I would note that Factory Refurbished really seems to mean just that there is apparently 6 months of their original (or maybe a new 6 month warranty) but a basic air blow out of unit before power up shot a fair amount of dust and a small amount of small leafy material out. It was well packed in original box inside a secondary box. It has been running with no issues for a day now.

Most of the units are sold now with a few M30's and M31's left. They had released several batches over a couple weeks so may be more if you get on their mailing list if interested in any future lots.

I have a couple more units from other sources for Bitmain units in the works and will leave reviews when I receive units.
I used to purchase from Bitmain direct (since 2017), but their limited available units are even worse prices than brokers and for months have fail to respond to my questions about batch origins (as China Units are 25% Tarriff in US and China Factory only recently shut down apparently). I would have ordered form them months ago if they could have confirmed Malaysia or no China Mainland based origin.

However search this forum for ASIC suppliers or look at Quotecolo.com for possible referral to a legit re-seller of Bitmain Units.
What little pops up for inventory on Bitmains site, pricing right now is very similar with some of the re-sellers that have been receiving previous bulk batches from 6 months ago. So they are still making quite a pretty penny. (most of my current quotes slightly less than the only S19 Pro on Bitmains Site right now).
Overall, miners are way overprice right now, but the secondary small guy market is buying them.

I've been buying from Btmain direct since 2017, though I have not purchased in the last year.
Over the last 3 or 4 month I have asked some questions of them with the intent to order a couple units. They continually fail to reply now, unlike in the past.

I specifically have bee n asking about country of origin for current stock units.
From past experience, some ship as manufactured in China (now 25% US Tariff's) some ship from Malaysia I believe (No 25% US Tariff)
In the past (over a year ago) they were prompt to reply and advise me of stock.
Now they just seem to ignore me, even being a customer that has purchased over 20 units one or two at time since 2017.

I wonder if it has to do with the leadership change and just being too big for their own good (only apparently caring about the big customers)
