Great to see some work from you again!

Ive just tested it real quick on my Vega and 470 Rig.
The power consumption is amazing!

Vega 56 2016H/s @ 164 Watts
RX 470 1008H/s @ 126 Watts

Crazy stuff. Ill have to do some more tests.

Unfortunately i dont have any merit points left  Angry

Thanks rubine!  It's been quite the push to get this release out.  Thanks for giving it a spin so quickly.
Your RX 470 power is a bit higher than what we've been seeing, what clocks are you running on it?

Hello tested on windows 10 with 6*RX580, it doesn't launch unfortunatly. i tryed without Antivirus and without OC.

I got the message "failed to list OpenCL devices".

Can it be a driver problem ? i have blockchain drivers.

Thank you

Hi flux,
As rubine mentioned, it's likely that you have more than one opencl platform, and the miner uses the first platform by default.
If adding the --platform=1 option that rubine suggested doesn't work, could you run clinfo on the command line and post the output?

Current clk at 1250@900, 2000@900. My bios mod may differ a bit.

Funny thoughts from you guys. Iam quite sure not even one here would have hold through the up and downs. If you would have bought Bitcoin @1$ and it cames to 100$ then drop to 20$ again and then suddenly reaches 100$ again you would have sold everything out xD Maybe in a few years you will write "Shit i should have hold my Bitcoins @~15k$ and sold it now for (~2020) for 200k.

Quick question:  do you have to have an accelerator for each GPU, or will 1 work with all GPUs in the rig?

already answered

"One Acorn can help multiple GPUs depending on algorithm, you can use two in two M.2 slots."

Iam wondering if nobody else got wrecked from the ongoing security update in windows?

Running since 4 Months with Windows updates disabled but the last update happend was not stoppable.
Any ideas how to block windows "restart for updates"?

Ive to restart my rigs through the cmd to not force the update on restart. Any ideas how to prevent this or delete the ongoing update on restart?

Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner
by
rubine2323
on 03/05/2018, 19:14:37 UTC
This is more of an ASIC than the ETH asic they released last month.

My 280X used like 200 Watts and hashed at 300Hs. My RX 470 used like 150 Watts and hashed at 275Hs.

So 300Watts for 10Khs is very impressive. Basically this is bad for most high end Nvidia GPUs since they were kind of Equihash mining.

Thats true. Compared to the last ETH Asic to double the hashrate they would have to produce 1.000.000 Asics. And holding 1.000.000 would cost them 800Megawatts i would say its quite impossible to produce 1.000.000 pcs and also imposible to hold them by theirselfs. But for sure Bitmain holding by their own stronger ETH Asics as well and mining in silence. Thats out of discussion.

maybe real devs will follow the monero's plan, a new asic for the algo i use? easy, fork to change the algo, guys remember we need true decentralization on this world, if not, satoshi create btc only to see how we (dumb humans) destroy a whole new freedom way to a new economic system. i mean, we love money, but do we want to be at the same state like banks make us belive we own our money? because thats what theyr trying to do, centralize the hashpower like they centralize all the actual economic system. fuck bitmain and asics.

How is selling these to the public going to centralize the hashing power? Serious question.

Also, didnt ZEC devs say they dont care if there are ASICs ?

Selling these to the public isnt going to centralize the hasing power. But selling for example 100pcs and holding 1000pcs in their own warehouse is for sure centralizing the hashing power. If you dont think Bitmain would do these then you really have no clue. Who wouldnt?

So far ZEC devs havent said anyhting to the upcoming asics. If yes give me the source.

The last post from dev side is that thread from february

Re: [ANN] 💰⛏ 💰⛏ 💰⛏ ICE ROCK MINING ICO2 - LIFETIME PROFIT
by
rubine2323
on 11/04/2018, 00:25:57 UTC
Wouldnt the icerock melt down after some time? There is no sence mining in an icerock. Also the humidity is very high. This ico dosnt make sense to me. Seems very scammy.
Anyways iam sure a lot of people will buy that tokens. Also lifetime profit sounds Telegrambot or HYIP like.

Also i can see there are 16 people working on that company.
If someone invest 1000$ 306% ROI per year?! Seems like you are running Antminer coasts of an Antminer is 1200$. What are those 16 people earning 0$ per year. And you pay lifetime? So you are doing this all for your customers for free. Well thats very friendly. Seems like a charity project or the earnings and profits are based on a Bitcoin price increase to 100.000$ then maybe people get paid.

Cant even get why people are buying these tokens. Maybe based on the story of the project. Maybe people think hey cool website and story ill invest 1000$?

Re: BAIKALMINER Giant-N cryptonight 20000h/s 60watt
by
rubine2323
on 05/04/2018, 20:58:48 UTC
The biggest problem with the Cryptonight ASICs is that they are just door stopper. I think you all forgott about the low power consumption. With 60Watts you wont even heat your room in winter. My Antminer D3s are way better heating up room and in elec. coasts just a little bit more expensive and louder then a normal heater.

So if you looking for heater i would prefer the good looking and well designed Bitmain heater instead of Baikal (more power consumption).

Summary:

Baikal
+door stopper
+lowest price
-no heating function

Bitmain
+heater
+door stopper
~medium price

Innosilicon
+ door stopper
+ heater
- highest price
+ cool blue logo

E3 Miner Antminer
+heater
+at least minimal profit (lets wait what the eth devs say tomorrow about a fork?)
+low price

For everyone who buys ASICs is as uninformed as i was when i bought my D3s. Everyone has to learn by paying nothing is for free.
I bought 11 D3s by the way after 2 Months running, 5 hashboards stopped working and 7 with negative profit. Maybe i should have also listened to the 1000 negative ratings on Facebook and Bitcointalk about Bitmain and co.

Hi Patrike,

is there a way that the awesomeminer software shows if a miner is freezing?
On my rigs its heavy to see that one rig is not working i can only see it 50% if profit shows 0,00$
The other 50% iam not seeing because it shows the profit and hashrate like if its running

Any ideas?
