Re: [2016-10-02] Dash Partners with Coinfirm for AML/KYC Compliance

How will the AML/KYC compliance work? Will Coinfirm swap Dash for fiat if you give it scans of your passport, bank statements, and household bills? You can do that already if you sell Dash on an exchange.

Re: reddcoin will update new wallet ?
by

Will reddcoin prices will soar rapidly?  Huh

The new wallet hasn't made the prices will soar rapidly yet, but you never know when a coin might pump. Just before it went offline cryptsy allowed reddcoin withdrawals when most other coin withdrawals were blocked. That gives reddcoinan advantage over the other coins that had their cryptsy cold wallets stolen.

I remember this coin at cryptsy in those days it was value 700 btc per 42 coin, will such glory come back? i used to admire it then but i could not afford it but now i would give it a shot.
How do you think how many coins have been stoles from cryptsy?

not sure but it makes the new coins mined more valualble

What if whoever stole them swaps them for the new coins?

After the old dev launched this coin someone discovered he premined or instamined half a coin for himself. If ye didn't dump them all what's going to stop him swapping them for the new coins?

The cryptsy coins and the old dev's coins being swapped could make some huge 42 coin whales.

Thanks you for your help, but that is precisely what Im doing.  Im logging out by clocking that button.  It takes me back to the home screen, but it never prompts me for a passphrase to log back in.  It just says "select account to log in with" and once I click the account, it logs in automatically...no passphrase needed.

Did you tick the checkbox marked "Remember account on this computer" when you created your wallet?

If you ticked that checkbox you will be logged in automatically because your browser remembers your pass phrase.

You can delete your pass phrase from your browser in chrome by clicking "settings", then clicking "Show advanced settings", then clicking the "clear browsing data button".

You can delete your pass phrase from your browser in internet explorer by clicking "tools", then "internet options", then the delete button below browsing history.

After that you will be prompted for your pass phrase to login.

Someone tell me
Vern pointing who
The lawyer who filed the lawsuit against you likened what you did to "robbing a bank." How do you respond?

He doesn't think the hack occurred, which is surprising to me since the ex-wallet manager is working with them and he knows all the details of what happened

That news come out in public nice 5hour ago

He keeps to disinformate people. $3 millions revenue in the first year, means that Cryptsy had to have more than 10000 BTCs daily volume in first year and that is BS.First few months it volume was very small and only on few days during DOGE and XPY pump it climbed to 8000 daily.Cryptsy went to 1500-2000 BTC daily volume only in second year of its existence.

80-85% of this so call "revenues" came from deliberate taking(stealing) BTCs from users. That is why Vernon destroyed users, accounting and site audit databases and fled to China.

The man who claimed he didnt steal anything burned all his accounting books.

He refused to tell miaminewtimes if he used customer's funds for himself.

Quote
Vernon declined to answer a number of New Times' questions, including whether he would cooperate with the court-appointed receiver in the civil case, or if he ever used or diverted his users' funds for personal or family consumption. He also wouldn't say where he currently lives or if he plans to return to the U.S.

However, he said he took a "loan" of $600k from cryptsy to pay for his house. More like he took a "loan" from customer's funds to pay for his house.

Quote
In the first year of operation from May 2013 to May 2014 the company had revenues of close to $3m. During this period I was paid $1.1m via the regular payroll system, base salary + quarterly bonuses. The initial purchase and down payment for that home was in February 2014. I took a loan from the company for $600k to complete the purchase at a time when the company was still performing well.

How do you lock the NXT 1.9.2 client?  I want to make sure I wrote down my passphrase correctly before I fund it.  I can't find a way to lock it to prompt the passphrase entry....Thanks!

Do you mean you don't know how to log out of the NXT 1.9.2 client?

You log out by clicking the icon at the top right of the wallet above where it says NRS Version 1.9.2 in this screenshot.

After you have logged out it will prompt for pass phrase entry.

After you are sure you have your pass phrase saved correctly you can fund it and see how many free Ardor coins you are getting for your nxt coins for the three months of snapshots.

can some one fill me in on how NXT is going, it seemed to be one of the best but the devs seem to be going to other projects, this is general impression i had ....

It also seemed to have so many features ....

did the initial distribution kill it?

NXT is undergoing a renaissance ... it was beautiful, still is, and gets better by the day!

NXT tech is superior to nearly everything else, but yes, the distribution didn't fund development, and while it was 100% fair, it did create a LOT of jealousy, and was a nightmare for community to overcome.

The great thing with NXT 2.0 is all the good things remain, BUT the previous mistakes have been corrected!

There is over a billion Nxt for sale on Poloniex, but I can't find how many Nxt are for sale on btc38. Btc38 is the biggest Nxt exchange, and I would guess there must be 3x or 4x more Nxt for sale on it. The Poloniex Nxt for sale added to the btc38 Nxt for sale might be 30% to 50% of all existing Nxt.

Furthermore, there were $2,507,740 total traded Nxt traded yesterday. Although the Nxt distribution wasn't wide enough, this new NXT 2.0 Ardor distribution will certainly be wide enough. The whales from the Nxt distribution must have sold all their coins long ago if 50% of all Nxt are for sale on exchanges, and a further few percent are being traded every day.

Interesting comment. So there are more nxt being sold then exist?

No, there are arguably up to 50% of Nxt for sale on Poloniex and btc38. Poloniex has 10% and btc39 must have more because it has 3 or 4 times the volume of Poloniex.

The $2,507,740 total traded today figure is from coinmarketcap. If you divide it by the price of one Nxt now ($ 0.017753) it works out to about 1.5% of all Nxt being traded per day, but it's probably more like 2% of all Nxt being traded per day because the price has gone up 50% in the last day.

Anyone can buy them, which makes the NXT 2.0 Ardor distribution fair and wide enough.

Support broken! Shocked
Didn't expect this... Waiting for a long entry, but this is getting bearisher... Huh

It looks like a double bottom to me. The price is up by $20 from its low, and that last dump was weak. This is getting bullisher so you should make your long entry now instead of waiting to buy in higher.

This strong rally has attracted only minor attention:

Why don't you identify about what the chart refers?

It looks like the bitcoin days destroyed chart, but without a vertical axis scale I can't be sure.

This is the days destroyed chart from blockchain.info, it follows the same pattern as tzupy's but with more detail.

Re: Exactly 1 day before the Bitcoin Halvening I am dumping all BTC into ETH
by

Any reason for doing that?

Because he's the #1 Eth shill on the entire forum and is trying to trick people into buying Eth to remove his huge losses when the Eth price halved?

He's going to do the exact opposite of what he says and go long on bitcoin exactly 1 day before the bitcoin halvening. He's going to dump all his Eth for bitcoin long before then so he'll have a shitload of bitcoins to go long with.

I found the faucet rarely worked, but if you kept on checking it every week for months it would occasionally work. The last time I tried it was a year ago and it might have ceased working altogether. It's worth trying regularly though.

Are bter and yobit being DDOS'd?

I keep getting an intermittent cloudflare error for both exchanges today. One minute they are online, the next they are offline, then they go back to being online. If it was only one exchange I might assume it was a problem in the exchange, but two being offline at the same time makes me suspect DDOS attacks.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Still digesting yesterday's shot up to $789 but creeping up from the $750 sideways line. At least today's candle is green now.

We breezed past $680 in a couple of days but $780 is starting to look as sticky as $580 was. That lasted a week.

If it continued shooting up without a sideways period it wouldn't be sustainable. There are steps all the way up to here on the charts, and I hope we are on the sideways part of another step up. New fiat from the banks could push the price up another step next week.

Re: ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL ATTACK ON ETH JUST OCCURED!!!
by
rumpey
on 19/06/2016, 16:14:01 UTC
The ONLY way that ETH can survive this clusterfuck is if Vitalik Buterin stops acting like a central banker and starts letting things fall. Dao fucked up? Let it fall and deal with the losses, stop trying to change things now.

I think this would be the best strategy for ETH moving forward.  Tongue Cheesy Cool

~~

There are no easy choices for ETH, but I agree Vitalik Buterin trying to control the ETH blockchain is the worst choice possible. If they do it once they can do it again. The DAO should be left to fail instead of tampering with the original blockchain and social contract.

I installed the wallet through docker and can access it through this url.

http://192.168.99.100:8000/

How can other people access my wallet? How do I configure it if I want to set it up so anyone can access it through my ip or a domain?

Why can I only access my wallet through http://192.168.99.100:8000/ and not my ip or localhost?

also can you make a second purchase?

Yes, just click on "New Exchange". For me BTC worked fine today, except for wallet synch'ing. Sending BTC to Lisk was "fast". All confirmations within 30 minutes.

There were complaints that the Bitcoin network has been a bit overloaded at times today. If you pay a high fee you should get your transactions through fast, but you might have a delay if you pay a low fee. Often you have no fee size control if sending from an exchange, but you can decide the fee you pay from your own wallet.

everyone should chip in a few satoshi and get the scifi coins listed on yobit.

https://yobit.net/en/addcoin/

To add a new coin to Yobit please you need to fill out the form below.
Payment method: YobiCode
Listing type:
• Free - 0.00 btc - no guarantee
• Premium - 0.1 btc - 2 business day
• Exclusive - 0.5 btc - 1 business day + mail alert to all users
Please register and create Yobicode here.

How long do they list a coin for at those prices? Do you get listed for longer if you pay more? What's the removal policy? Most exchanges remove low volume coins after a given amount of time. Bittrex often displays a warning message saying a coin will be removed if it doesn't get 0.2 BTC worth of volume in the next seven days.
