Re: Will people ever get their investment back on USB Erupter ?

Yeah, as others have said, blockeruptors are pretty unprofitable at this point.

I'm surprised by that one video going around with the kids and the bitcoin mining farm, where they had something like 50 units of the USB model. Someone argued that if the Bitcoins they spent on them were mined long ago, then the "cost" wouldn't be that high for all the units, but the opportunity cost would still be huge...

To be taken seriously.
1. Post specs.
2. Post pictures.
3. Post a website
4. Post some kind of proof that you are you.
5. Ship one for free to some trusted member so they can confirm your product.

With all the scams going around, I don't think anybody will take you guys seriously until you do this. ^^

Yeah, I think the reddit post got it right.

There were a couple whales keeping it up high, then someone sold off a lot, breaking the wall. And now everybody else is just casually trading as the price continues to slowly drop. (A swinging price is more natural than days upon days of a nearly totally flat graph anyway)

I really like MultiBit,

It's only ~40mb with the blockchain downloaded. (It downloads a heavily stripped down version of the entire chain, and goes back for information on addresses it actually manages)
It doesn't rely on an external server to host the blockchain (like Electrum)

And it allows you to manage multiple wallet files so you can export only certain keys and use them on multiple devices (for petty cash on a phone, as an example. If you lose the phone, you already have the wallet open so you can move the coins out of it.)

Would be REALLY SMART for another Exchange to come up here.

They would make BANK.

Lots of them are trying, but people are attached to Gox because they were first.

BitFloor was doing really well until they got shut down. CampBX and BitStamp are quite good too.
In some ways, the other ones are actually better. Since they're based in the US, you can do direct deposit transfers into your trading accounts from your banks. (Saving some, if not all, of the Wire transfer fees)
