Re: [ANN] The First Litecoin PPS Pool (litecoinpool.org)

I don't know if its just me, but I observed that my speed becomes lower compare to previous days. I got only around 480 mh/s average while last month is around 500-504 mh/s. This happens to 4 of my L3 and running on a different locations

Check your power supply units. Are you getting enough power per miner?
Are you over/underclocked? This happens to some miners when they accidentally/unintentionally overclock/overclock.
How much downtime did you experience? Check your logs. Sometimes, a miner might just refuse to hash for a while.

For me, my L3s are happy and running just a little underclock since my power supply units are pretty... questionable.

I just noticed that it dropped to 102% PPS? Wasn't it 103% literally a few hours ago? 0.0

XRP seems pretty promising! I'm pretty glad to have bought 1000 a while back. I'm hoping it breaks the $1 mark by mid 2018!

Re: Is MinerGate a good mining software as well as a legitmate cloud mine?
by

Please avoid investing into cloudmining. At the end of the day, most of them are ponzis and just run away with your cryptocurrencies. So far, the only one to have lasted is Genesis Mining, although lots of people say they're still sketchy.
Minergate has lower hashes for some reason, so, if you use MinerGate as a pool and you use another mining app, that's totally fine. Just... Avoid cloudmining. That doesn't usually go all that well

What have you done using cryptocurrencies?
by

on 10/11/2017, 18:06:19 UTC
Cryptocurrencies are pretty popular now. Which got me curious about their usage and such. Sooooo... I made a little survey thing to help quench my curiosity Smiley

1. Have you ever used cryptocurrencies to buy something?

2. Have you ever used cryptocurrencies to buy something from a physical store?

3. What cryptocurrency do you use the most?

4. Do you ever regret buying something with cryptocurrencies?

Thank you guys so much! I've always been curious about this! Cheesy

Re: Electroneum Mining is live!

I've started mining. Judging from the social media activity, amount of support and backers, and mining hashrate, Electroneum may be one of those 1% legitimate ICOs.
Hope it does well, since I have my hashpower directed at it!

I just started mining Electroneum. Judging from the amount of activity on their social media, the current hashrate, number of miners, and support from the community and team, I'd say Electroneum may actual be that 1% of legit ICOs.

They just released it. Along with all their files and stuff. Works on mac, pc, etc.
I'm going to mine for a bit just to see what it is. And who knows. Mining for a little bit might bring me a few spending bucks XD

Bitcointalk is a forum. A place for us to get together and talk about things other than cryptocurrencies and mining. Hence, "Off topic". There's quite a few intresting threads here, and I often find myself lurking around here for hours on end XD

What a big mystery XD What moved? Who moved? Did you move? Where did you move to? Where did you move from? How did you move? Did someone help you move? Why did you move? What was moved? Did you move money? Did you move treasure? Did you move a sofa? Maybe you moved someone's heart. Maybe you moved a water bottle. Maybe you moved a piece of paper or a potato.
One single word is a fantastic topic. I know exactly what you're talking about. XD

Re: Taxes Mining Bitcoins

As a Canadian living in Ontario, I have been mining bitcoins and altcoins for some time and do not pay taxes on the bitcoin that I mined. But that's mainly because I don't sell.
However, from what I heard, if you are a business and accept bitcoin, you have to report it. If you mined bitcoin and sold it, it counts as capital gain.

If you want to go long term, I recommend bitcoin or ethereum.
Bitcoin prices steadily seem to go upwards, and whenever there's another fork, you get more!
Ether is also quite stable, since so many ICOs and other coins/tokens are based on ether.
I personally invested in bitcoin AND Ether, along with ZCash. I didn't invest as much into Zcash as the first two.
