I had sold a part of my bitcoin. I am a long term holder and I set a price when to sell it. I earn money and I feel satisfied with it. It is given that it is risky and volatile, we do not have control on it. Neither sell or keep there is nothing wrong with it. It is our own decision and as we sell, the price changes high or low, we may feel satisfied with our decision or feel regret on it.
It is good here in the Philippines that bitcoin is legal. I can use it online shopping, buying prepaid loads and converting to fiat anytime is really easy because you can transfer it directly to bank accounts or cash out through remittance centers. So what I do with bitcoin is trading,I buy low and sell high.
I think it is not all about being idiot. Some are just late to know about bitcoin, others just want to buy without considering the rate history and the rest are long time holder. But basically , I agree this is not the right time to buy because the price is too high. For the buyers now, it is just a matter of patience.

Not specifically pointing out bitcoin. It is referring generally on cryptocurrencies. I think this article only cause panic on crypto holders to sell their coins rather than losing the value and be accused as criminals. How can you be criminal when you invest using your own money. On the other side, maybe the government is planning something better for dealing with crypto but I guess it is somehow impossible to control crypto.
Really? 10years ago, How I wished I knew bitcoin at that early time. Well, I guess you're right but at some point you can compare then and now. Everything is unpredictable. You cant be sure that when you buy now, after ten years the value will rise like now. Unlike planting trees that you are sure that it will go strong and bear fruits, bitcoin is volatile and that is the risk. It still depends on the stability of the market.
