Re: What do you think about IOTA?

For me IOTA is just under a big hype plan. In general when supporters are praising it like the new Bitcoin, it is very fishy. I saw this on several altcoins : Bitcoin Cash, Footy Cash, Monero, IOTA...

I think that yes for a single investor with not that much money, that is the best way. Moreover yields are simply incredible, so why take part of the action ?

how many eth colleted now, i cant see eth collected in ico dashboard
Around 32 ETH now.
Where did you see this? I can not see or find any temporary fundraising from ICO on site. Is there a special way to know this?
may be he see on etherscan, https://etherscan.io/address/0x1838A703581061551C3c9153c810EFa9d1A79C4d
around 32 eth now collected i think this will fail, but i still support, for now.
how many eth minimum eth for this project dev?
As always what when a short project then the investor will buy it at the end of the event or ico will end soon. Quiet we can only support them. . .
1 week includes a period of quick profits to invest

Yes, Pillar was even shorter, only 60 hours, but yet is was a big success. I am confident that they wil raise at least the double of what they already collected.

Frankly, I never thought I would say that, but for me it will happen in 2017, this is a certainity. In fact while we are only at the beginning of August, there is still roughly five months to take a 150$ valuation. Anyone thinking the inverse must have an insider or is crazy.

Zcash is for me a good altcoin, especially for miners, but do not buy because of the conspiracy theories that Zcash is run by Nvidia and Intel to sell more products...

Re: A Good ICO what does it take?

I think in case you are not familiar with an ICO, better is to outsource its production to concentrate on the actual creation of what will be offered. For exemple, Shopeo offers a free ICO management service in case you are interested. Ask them if they can help you, it costs nothing and the try can be worth it.

With Bitcoin pumping the way it is now, no one cares actually about altcoins. If the steam reverses i.e. Bitcoin price drops, you can be sure all this money will fly to altcoins and you will have an all-green day !

Re: Apple, Microsoft, Mercedes Benz Accepting Bitcoin

Does anyone have information about Apple accepting BTC's ?
Didn't find any official statement regarding this Topic

Apple is not accepting, Bitcoin, as Mercedes-Benz (look my post above yours). They are kinda unfriendly toward crypto-currencies in general, and it tooks years for developper to be able to freely publish Bitcoin wallets on the App Store. Moreover, I doubt they will ever be great friends of Bitcoin, since they are in the same situation than PayPal. In case you did not know, Apple launched Apple Pay recently, to compete with PayPal on bankless virtual payments sector, where Bitcoin is. This makes that Apple is a competitor of Bitcoin, and will try to make all its possible so that it does not disturb Apple Pay's growth.

I didn't hear if the Mercedes-Benz accepting bitcoin and tesla is never making an announcement about they were officially accepting bitcoin for their payment. Especially for apple too.  Huh
I wonder who has that amount of bitcoins to buy a Mercedes? I think that this statement is more PR the shares of these companies. Besides if anyone can buy a car with bitcoin then it will be free to talk all the news in the world.

i just googled "Mercedes-Benz price" and their prices actually start from $34,475 and it is ~34.4 bitcoins right now and you could have bought that much with a lot less last year. even if you bought it at $500 that means you invested your money for a year to get it doubled and be able to buy a car with it.

The cheapest Mercedes-Benz costs way less than 34 475$. Also, they do not accept Bitcoin, so anytime you bought them, you could not have bought a car with it. Mercedes bought a Bitcoin payment company, but this does not mean that they accept Bitcoin. This was just a pure misinformating thread, probably to give some more logs to the fire, which is people buying bitcoins. By doing this, OP hopped that the price would go faster because, now, Bitcoin would get accepted by major companies, and the average Joe would have filled its sell orders.

by

Another China inspection and its consequences, whatever they are, will have a lot less important effect on the price. Last time, with the exchanges closed, the biggest part of the worldwide volume disappeared. Now, from what I red in the day, the effect would be a lot less important given how the volume fled from China to settle equaly around the world.

Re: What would be the price of Bitcoin if someone would invest 10 billion USD ?
by

What would be the price of Bitcoin if someone would invest 10 billion USD in one day?
It would be interesting to know what price would be.
How i can calculate?

even in a hypothetical situation this is not possible!
because first of all no one in his right mind is going to invest a huge amount of money into bitcoin, that doesn't even make any sense. you obviously don't know this but there are lots of better ways to invest large amount of money and make even more.

and besides to invest 10,000,000,000 USD in bitcoin means buying all the coins because price has been $1000+ for a short time and with lower price it meant buying all the 16 million coins that are currently available and that obviously is not possible because bitcoin is already spread throughout the world among millions of people and there is no way they sell their coins.

You know, anyone that has faith in Bitcoin and that a lot of money could invest that much into Bitcoin. And while 10 billions of dollars is a lot for an individual, there is plenty of funds and organisation for which this is not a big deal. And considering the returns of Bitcoin, at the inverse, I would say that anyone who is sane would do it.

That was what I was talking about : all the coins can not be taken into account, you must take into account only the coins that are in the exchanges and that are willing to be sold. This makes the actual supply available a lot less, and this means the price would be much more high.

Re: Are you with Mike Hearn? Has Bitcoin failed? Is it Dead
by

I am surprised no one actually posted the statistics of how much time has been declared dead. This over one hundred times, so do not worry ! I do not understand people that are saying that Bitcoin is dead. It has never been that healthy : the transaction volume is very high (some people see this as a bad thing, but more people coming equals more transactions, except if you are dumb), the price is healthy, the PBOC thing seems to have addressed the fake Chinese volume. All is fine in this peaceful world !

Re: What would be the price of Bitcoin if someone would invest 10 billion USD ?
by
sakinaka

In basic terms, each bitcoin is currently worth about $1050, so 16 million bitcoins are worth about $17 billion. If you add $10 billion to that, then each bitcoin would be worth about $1690.

This is in the case of a pure market. It would be much more for me, since if there is a constant buying, other people will start buying by fearing to "miss the train". And I would consider the supply to be a lot less than 16 millions since there is several millions of bitcoins that are sitting in addresses, so that are not counted in the mass calculation. I would say at least 2000$ but that would be much more. I could not tell you how much though.
