Thanks for the write up, was helpful. I'm not a huge bounty guy but since I've hit Jr Member I'm looking to see if there're any worthy ones to go on

If u can care to explain, can you expand on your idea? (to the level you're ok to reveal of course). Just wondering if what you're thinking of can already be achieved by an existing token.

Re: Joining ICO or Participating Bounties and Airdrop??

Comparing airdrop and participating in ICO is like comparing apples and oranges. They shouldn't be mutually exclusive

It's case by case really, and depends on your strategy like all other investment decisions.
To put a blanket advice like this out there is just foolish

Re: FAKE ICOs Bounties. What to do?
by
samamatara
on 22/02/2018, 09:27:03 UTC
One simple check to do first, is have a good look at the website. It should be able to filter out most of the trash.
Next check is whitepaper, see if it exists. If it ticks both boxes, and the airdrop effort is putting in ur email address and ur eth address, that probably is enough.

More effort required = more evidence required.

Re: Anyone making money off low-cap altcoins this month?
by
samamatara
on 20/02/2018, 19:40:04 UTC
I don't think you know what low cap coins means OP you literally just referenced 3 coins that were all in the top 25 while pumping Cheesy. Btw you may have made profit on a couple of pumps but be careful once you lose out on one, all those "hard-earned" BTC might go right back into the system.

there's nothing to suggest that OP thought TRX/XRP were low-cap, I wouldn't be so quick to throw shade. Maybe he's burn out from the high caps and he's in search for some low caps?

Re: Why ICOs will fail in 2018
by
samamatara
on 16/02/2018, 11:09:04 UTC
I don't think it will necessarily 'fail' but the quality of projects that get to the ICO stage is gonna drop.
Most quality projects will be raising all their funds via presales and vc funding and you will only see lesser projects do ICOs.

This is the sentiment of a lot of ico experts and I tend to agree.

Re: Bounty Rewards: Sell immediately or HODL?
by

I just think about this, when deciding to sell airdrops or bounty rewards. Are there other coins that I can get that I like more by selling this? If yes I sell.

Re: Why is it so hard to find a sports betting platform that accepts eth?
by
samamatara
on 09/02/2018, 22:19:06 UTC
Bitcoin is such a expensive and slow crypto to use for betting purposes, why do sites insist on using bitcoin only?
I would have imagined that they would prefer a quicker cheaper crypto to lure gamblers to their site. Imagine a tilted gambler trying to deposit hit last 0.5 bitcoin after losing his life savings and it taking 3 hours to get through. He would be tilt free by then Cheesy

So this is just a FUD post without any actual question/input? That's a shame considering what your title said.

---Nothing to see here, move along---
how the hell did u come to that conclusion lol. I am genuinely interested to know if you know any sports betting sites that allow eth deposits
No, you are not interested in anything, you are spreading FUD. Title is misleading. 50-100 sat/byte is enough to send transaction and you will wait 1-30 min.

Nah I'm just stating facts and nothing more. If I want to use bitcoin to bet, I need to buy some bitcoin from an exchange, and then pay around $20 worth in withdrawal fees just to deposit to a betting site. Sure if u already have some bitcoin handy it's not terrible but transacting bitcoin using exchange is horrible and it's a fact.

It's actually becoming a bit difficult to withdraw, need to find a trustworthy exchange that allows no-fuss fiat withdrawal.

I wouldn't change the plan, if you already had a plan before the current crash.
I haven't seen evidence of any concrete signs of this being nothing more than FUD/correction.

I might reassess if new evidence surface, but for now I'm happy to stay the course.

I believe in the tech and the potential it has.
I don't necessarily believe in the investment potential of it long term, although short-medium term I certainly see it.

happens to the best of us mate. I've had it  happen to me many times, but i learnt to not dwell on it. As long as u perform actions based on a plan, you shouldn't have regrets.
