maybe it's time to make a fork out of this coin or a sidechain bringing real support or yield to bitcoin
any idea?
on top of it, it would be good determine /remine  the lost coins through a conversion /check mechanism would be nice too (e.g. get rid of the first address on the rich list, in the hands of uncaring lawyers)

What lawyers own the first address and why? I can only imagine vlad on youtube declaring crypto jihad on your a$$ for even the suggestion about forking it although he was yammering on about it already having some secret fork that we are supposed to get coins from provided we don't sell the ones we have yet. Maybe he's just crazy but why would he say it and he has been around over a decade now?

https://www.grantthornton.co.nz/cryptopia-limited/

In any case, it will be over by october 1st 2025. They can either distribute, keep it or dump the wallets. Over 2M ixc....

Im back
I see
You want to stay losers and u keep flogging yourself
Ok fine

Just a question for the ones owing the top 100-200 ixc wallets: you keep the wallets loaded and do nothing...
probably btc early adopter, filthy rich
do us a favor, you can choose between the following
1 give a real help to market ixc
2 give your ixc to someone eager to help
3 send your coins to miners (burning mechanism)

and stop crying over vlad or whatever
do something! otherwise, why are you reading this?

And you Nasakioto, once you recover your BTC from MtGox (I guess here...), help your creation. Move your a$$ and do something

afaik

ixc strenght:

early altcoin
long blockchain
secure by merge mining with bitcoin
almost all mined
no scam (premine allegations gone)
pro-miner with donation mechanism
easy updated by mirroring btc updates
good candidate as btc sidechain

and why not:
dirty cheap
cheap tx fee

ixc weaknesses:

no marketing (can you get a doge-like marketing  Grin ? )
no information (zero working websites)
no portable wallets

___________

IXC is like a pearl in mud.
Any idea how to get ixc out of this mud?

point 20

the bigger ixc address you can see in the explorer and other smaller ones are in the hands of these lawyers
and maybe they will not even bother to distribute them, having not enough value

if anyone has any interest and means to revive this coin, he should knock the door of these gentlemen

2M+ ixc on the table

Okay I hope the moderator doesnt merge this post again because it is a separate issue:

Can someone senior ranking here let me know what we can remove from the blockexplorer in order to replace it with "miningfund" ?

Fairglue has kindly offered to insert it once we decide what to remove.

It could be nice to have an estimated "real" number of circulating/not burned ixc. Not easy actually. Two ways:

- simple estimate: 21M - (580800 + burned donations)
- super precise: 21M -  [(all ixc held/sent to the first 6050 addresses which are not redeemable, something more than 580800) + (burned donations)]

What do you say?

Why is IXCoin called "The Original Bitcoin Sidechain"?

[moderator's note: consecutive posts merged]
[/quote]

1st Bitcoin
(not considering tenebrix, solidcoin,e tc)
(2nd) Namecoin  is not born to bea coin, but a free domain system
2nd Ixcoin: it is mined with Bitcoin, using almost zero added energy, with potential high security.  580800 ixc premined, later frozen / burned and now all 580800 ixc under re-mining

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/ixc/address.dws?nulldata.htm

they should appear on that list

bear with me, try to send a little amount to

address block 5
xhL4xk9pxbs2HS1d2MVHEAd7PXYv9gpBMh

address block 10
xaDecAorVjRQtmFCosPhJrq6LBTLgDi7Hj

address block 50
xoMJTGYcVcFwmcBHUt2HUfS3Jgvr46kLHv

address block 100
xvdCDkNUseHCU3Sy6Z5tYRrtWai5pu1FS9

Have you figured out anything to restore faith in Ixcoin yet?

no sorry
some old folk here could help us out
or maybe you are right... it seems a nice coin , probably not enough ... many here are wishing its death even if i don't get why

There is a mistake we do
It could be that not all the first 6050 blocks are really usable to burn the coins

Like catacata did, you should send a fraction or more ixc and see what happens

My guess

If you donate < 1 ixc, the block will report as created = 1.0  - the quantity you sent

e.g. you send 0.1 ixc to the address of block 300, which is xiLY3HL6q9VPkbLRsFBDduqmS9juRRiJQy

If you look at the next block on https://chainz.cryptoid.info/ixc/  you should see "Created: 0.9 ixc  (1.0 - 0.1 = 0.9)

If you donate > 1 ixc, the block will report as destroyed = 1.0  - the quantity you sent

e.g. you send 1.2 ixc to the address of block 300, which is xiLY3HL6q9VPkbLRsFBDduqmS9juRRiJQy

If you look at the next block on https://chainz.cryptoid.info/ixc/  you should see "Destroyed: 0.2 ixc  (1.0 - 1.2 = -0.2)

If proven, this feature makes ixc an outstanding coin, deflationary, based on donations going straight to miners

Can anyone do this little experiment?

What?
They should be around 180k right now
it means about 300k ixc was donated ?
can you check if this number decreases of 1 ixc every time a block is generated ?

Not sure
The hard fork caused the first 580800 ixc to be frozen/burned/ lost forever
there is a fixed production of 1 ixc / block .. till 21,580,800 ixc

in reality every time someone send some ixc to one of the addresses of the first 6050 blocks (composing the original 580800 ixc), the quantity sent is automatically burned, but the quantity of ixc miners can still mine is increased (the total circulating ixc will never be superior to 21 M)

I dunno now how many ixc have been donated. I don’t have a downloaded ixc wallet

Technically the process (donation > re-mining)  could continue forever

So without donations, the time left is: quantity left (use command miningfund to check) divided by the daily number of generated blocks (1 block = 1 ixc reward)

Am I clear?

A attempt can be made to add miningfund function on the blockchain explorer

Can anybody here contact this folk?

Someone of you paid for the explorer, you could be entitled to have a personalized view
